Abstract

The postpartum period is a time when mothers are required to be able to start their new duties and roles. Holistic care is needed for postpartum mothers, including care for physical, and psychological needs, and support for the social, spiritual, and cultural environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Holparti (Holistic Postpartum Class Murti) on the self-efficacy of postpartum mothers. This research is a quasi-experiment with a Posttest Only Control Group Design with a cross-sectional sampling technique using simple random sampling, with a sample size of 31 for the control group and 31 for the treatment group. Measurement of self-efficacy was carried out on the 7th day of postpartum using a questionnaire. The validity and reliability test using Product Moment Test and Cronbach's Alpha. Analysis of research data using independent t-test. The result of the independent t-test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), so there was an effect of Holparti on the self-efficacy of postpartum mothers. Holparti is effective in increasing the self-efficacy of postpartum mothers.

Abstract

One of the nutritional problems faced by children under five in the world, especially in developing countries is stunting. The problem of stunting in infants can have an impact on intellectual decline, increase the risk of non-communicable diseases, giving birth to babies with low birth weight and the risk of degenerative diseases in the future. So it is necessary to take preventative measures in order to reduce the stunting prevalence rate that is increasing every year. The purpose of this study: to determine the relationship between maternal pregnancy history and the history of the baby's birth to the incidence of stunting in infants. Research methods: using a retrospective cohort design with a sample of 85 mothers who have stunting toddlers. Results: Analysis of data using the chi square test of birth length (p = 0,000 0.05) has a relationship with the incidence of stunting while anemia during pregnancy (p = 0.212 0.05), chronic energy shortages during pregnancy (p = 0.837 0.05) and low birth weight (p = 0.297 0.05) had no relationship with the incidence of stunting. Conclusion: there was no significant relationship between maternal pregnancy history (Anemia and KEK), history of birth of the baby (LBW) and nutritional care patterns (accuracy of breastfeeding MP) with the incidence of stunting in infants. There is a significant relationship between the history of the birth of a baby (length of body birth) can cause stunting in infants. Suggestion: the results of this study can be taken into consideration to conduct early intervention appropriately to reduce the stunting rate in Blora Regency. Keywords: History of maternal pregnancy, history of baby's birth, toddler stunting.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of short toddlers or commonly known as stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. The expected national stunting target in 2024 is 14%. The prevalence of stunting under five in 2022 in Blora Regency is 25.8%. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of stunting in children under five years in Blora Regency. Methods: This is an analytical survey with a case-control study design. The sample consisted of 140 toddlers (1-5 years old) selected by systematic random sampling. The sample in this study was divided into two, namely the case sample and the case sample control (70 children under five in each group). The subsequent nutrient status assessment was performed using the calculation of longevity indicator by Age (PB/U) or Body Height by Age (TB/U) based on z-score according to WHO. Chi-square and multivariable logistic regression were used to analyze. Results: Bivariate analysis showed that exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.000), the condition of the floor of the house (p=0.000), clean water sources (p=0.000), smoking family (p=0.000), family income (p=0.000), and meat/fish/egg consumption patterns everyday (p=0.000) have a significant relationship with the occurrence of stunting in toddlers. Meat/fish/egg consumption patterns everyday of toodlers was the most dominant risk factor, among the variables. The children (1-5 years old) who never consume meat/fish/eggs every day had 4.410 times the risk of experiencing stunting (95% CI = 1.372-14.177). Conclusion: Consumption of protein (meat/eggs/fish) every day is very necessary for toddlers to prevent risk factors for stunting.

Abstract

Stunting is still a problem in Indonesia. In 2022, the stunting rate will still be high, namely 21.6%, with the expected national target in 2024 being 14%. The lack of understanding and skills of cadres in anthropometric measurements causes many of the results of weighing, data collection and recording of stunting detection to be inaccurate. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ‘cermati’ media (intelligent measuring anthropometry) to increase knowledge and skills of cadres in stunting screening. The research design was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-posttest with control group design conducted in Blora Regency from June to August 2023. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all cadres in Blora Regency. The sample in this study were 26 experimental respondents and 26 control respondents. Data analysis used the independent t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of the ‘cermati’ media (intelligent measuring anthropometry) to increase knowledge (p-value 0.000) and skills of cadres in stunting screening (p-value 0.000). Thus, the ‘cermati’ media (intelligent measuring anthropometry) can be used as an effort to increase knowledge and skills of cadres in stunting screening.

Abstract

Not all mothers can breastfeed directly or provide sufficient breast milk to their babies. This condition makes  a sharing breastmilk become one of solution to fullfill the baby need in breastmilk. The purpose of this study was to survey the public's knowledge and intention to donate breast milk or receive breast milk donors. The research design used an analytical survey with the general population being man and women of productive age (less than 20 years). The sampling technique used survey sampling, with a sample of 140 respondent’s. Measurement of knowledge and intension using pre and post-questionnaires after the respondents participated in the mini-workshop sharing breast milk milk in persective of religion, humanism and health. Data was analized using paired t-test. The result of the knowledge test was p=0.003 (p less than 0.05), the intention test were p = 0.043 (p less than 0.05), which means that there was a difference between pre and post mother's knowledge and intention after attending a mini-workshop. The survey results showed that there is an increase in interest when respondents are given knowledge become the basis for doing second phase of research, which is Study Management in Breastmilk Bank di Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital Philippines dan Lactashare Malang Indonesia. Abstrak: Tidak semua ibu dapat memberikan ASI secara langsung atau memberikan cukup ASI kepada bayinya.
