Abstract

Abstrak: Kejadian henti jantung merupakan kondisi kegawatdaruratan yang sering terjadi. Kejadianya tidak hanya pada usia tua tetapi juga usia muda. Insiden yang cukup tinggi inilah yang mendasari pentingnya pengetahuan tentang penatalaksanaan awal pada kondisi henti jantung dengan penerapan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD). Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk menciptakan orang awam yang mampu mengenali kondisi henti jantung yang terjadi di masyarakat dan melakukan upaya BHD sedini mungkin dan dapat melakukan tindakan tepat rujukan. Metode yang digunakan adalah peserta diberikan pendidikan kesehatan terlebih dahulu dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan role play. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah siswa SMA Islam Brawijaya sejumlah 25 orang. Data pengukuran penegtahuan diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Dalam pelaksanaan program pelatihan BHD didapatkan hasil pengetahuan peserta berada pada kategori baik, yaitu definisi BHD (74,8%), teori danger (72,4%), teori meminta bantuan (call for help) (75,2%), teknik kompresi (72,3%), dan teori “saat yang tepat untuk menghentikan BHD” (77,4%). Kegiatan ini memberi dampak positif pada peningkatan pengetahuan siswa terkait pemberian bantuan hidup dasar dan resusitasi jantung paru. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini diharapkan bisa menjadi panduan bagi Puskesmas dalam upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan orang awam dalam memberikan BHD kepada orang yang mengalami henti jantung dan tersedianya media pendidikan untuk masyarakat tentang upaya BHD.Abstract:  Cardiac arrest is a frequent emergency. The incident is not only at old age but also at a young age. This high incidence underlies the importance of knowledge about early management of cardiac arrest conditions with the application of Basic Life Support (BHD). This activity is carried out as an effort to create ordinary people who can recognize cardiac arrest conditions that occur in the community and make BHD efforts as early as possible and can take appropriate referral actions. The method used was that participants were given health education first and then continued with role play. The participants of this activity were 25 students of SMA Islam Brawijaya. Knowledge measurement data obtained using a questionnaire. In implementing the BHD training program, it was found that the participants' knowledge was in a good category, namely the definition of BHD (74.8%), the theory of danger (72.4%), the theory of asking for help (75.2%), and compression techniques. (72.3%), and the “time to stop BHD” theory (77.4%). This activity had a positive impact on increasing students' knowledge regarding the provision of basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The success of this activity is expected to be a guide for Puskesmas to improve the understanding and skills of ordinary people in providing BHD to people who have a cardiac arrest and the availability of educational media for the community about the efforts of BHD.

Abstract

Preparedness education for disasters is important because nurses must adapt to any conditions. But the phenomenon shows that not many nurses have the readiness and qualified experience in disaster relief efforts. The right step in improving the ability of nurses is to provide disaster education early on to nursing students. This study aims to determine the effect of disaster simulation methods on disaster management knowledge and skills in students at STIKes Majapahit Mojokerto. The design of this study was a pre-experiment with one group post-test only design. The sample of this research was all 7th-semester students of the Nursing Undergraduate Study Program at STIKes Majapahit Mojokerto with 21 respondents. The independent variable is the intervention of the disaster simulation method and the dependent variable is the knowledge and skills of disaster management. This study used a measuring tool in the form of a questionnaire sheet that was adopted and modified from the DPET (Disaster Preparedness Evaluation Tool) questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study used the analysis of the mean. The study found that the mean value of disaster management knowledge and skills were at 4.50 (SD: 1.12) and 4.29 (SD: 1.04). The mean value is included in the moderate category. This disaster simulation method provides the opportunity and experience for students to be able to directly apply the theories obtained in class to situations that are made as closely as possible with disaster conditions. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in the development of more attractive and interesting learning methods on the topic of disaster management so that in the long run it can improve the ability of nurses in their roles when disasters occur.

Abstract

Luka bakar tidak hanya dapat menimbulkan kematian, akan tetapi juga dapat menimbulkan morbiditas dengan angka yang cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan fenomena yang masih banyak ditemukan di masyarakat bahwa masih terdapat beberapa perilaku masyarakat yang kurang tepat dalam memberikan pertolongan pertama pada luka bakar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pertolongan pertama pada luka bakar. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan focus group discussion dan pendidikan kesehatan. Materi pendidikan kesehatan mencakup tentang definisi, penyebab, tanda dan gejala yang muncul, dan tata cara perawatan dan pengobatan, serta upaya pencegahan luka bakar. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari 11 orang wanita di Kelompok Dasa Wisma Perumahan Graha Majapahit Kabupaten Mojokerto. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah seluruh peserta menyatakan kegiatan ini sangat menarik dan bermanfaat untuk mengetahui tentang definisi, penyebab, tanda dan gejala yang muncul, dan tata cara perawatan dan pengobatan, serta upaya pencegahan luka bakar. Dari hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta sebelumnya memiliki pengetahuan cukup, yaitu 7 orang (64%), setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dan focus group discussion hampir seluruhnya peserta memiliki pengetahuan baik 10 orang (91%). Keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman bagi masyarakat untuk melakukan tindakan mandiri pertolongan pertama dan pencegahan luka bakar. Kata kunci : pertolongan pertama, luka bakar, pendidikan kesehatan, focus group discussion ABSTRACT Burns can’t only cause death, but also can cause morbidity with a high rate. Based on the phenomenon that is still widely found in the community, there are still some societal behaviors that are not quite right in providing first aid to burns. This community service activity aim to increase public knowledge about first aid for burns. The community service method used a focus group discussion approach and health education. Health education materials include definitions, causes, signs and symptoms that appear, and procedures for treatment and treatment, as well as burn prevention efforts. The target audience in this community service activity consisted of 11 women in the Kelompok Dasa Wisma Perumahan Graha Majapahit Kabupaten Mojokerto. The results obtained were that all participants stated that this activity was very interesting and useful to find out about the definition, causes, signs and symptoms that appeared, and procedures for treatment and treatment, as well as efforts to prevent burns. From the results of the activity, it was found that most of the participants previously had sufficient knowledge, namely 7 people (64%). After health education and focus group discussions were conducted, almost all participants had good knowledge of 10 people (91%). The success of this activity is expected to become a guideline for the community to take independent first aid and burn prevention measures. Keywords : first aid, burn, health education, focus group discussion.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic was a surprising event in early 2020. Patients were confirmed positive and patients died increasingly showing an increasing trend. Good knowledge and perception from the community are needed to break the chain of distribution of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of public perceptions about the risk of COVID-19 in Indonesia. This research is a descriptive study and used 134 respondents from several regions in Indonesia and taken used an accidental sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire consisting of 19 statements to measure people's perceptions about the risk of COVID-19. The results showed that the level of public perception in this study was 85.8%. The results of this study can be used as a basis for relevant parties in planning actions and also in formulating policies to break the chain of COVID-19 distribution in Indonesia.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Komunikasi berperan penting dalam pengelolaan keluhan di rumah sakit, terutama dengan meningkatnya harapan pasien terhadap layanan kesehatan berkualitas tinggi. Banyak rumah sakit menghadapi tantangan dalam menangani keluhan pasien secara efektif, karena ketidakefektifan komunikasi antara staf medis dan pasien. Tujuan: Scoping review ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pendekatan komunikasi yang efektif dalam penanganan keluhan di rumah sakit, serta mengeksplorasi dampak penerapan komunikasi yang efektif terhadap kepuasan pasien dan penyelesaian keluhan. Metode: Desain scoping review ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja lima tahap dari Arksey dan O’Malley. Metode ini melibatkan identifikasi dan pemetaan literatur yang relevan dari berbagai database seperti PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, dan Google Scholar, dengan fokus pada studi yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2024. Kata kunci pencarian meliputi “effective communication”, “complaint handling”, “hospital”, dan “patient satisfaction”. Hasil: Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang efektif berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan responsivitas dan kepuasan pasien. Pelatihan berkelanjutan dan peningkatan kesadaran staf mengenai pentingnya komunikasi efektif terbukti penting untuk mengoptimalkan penanganan keluhan. Simpulan: Simpulan dari review ini adalah bahwa peningkatan komunikasi efektif dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pelayanan di rumah sakit dan kepuasan pasien secara keseluruhan.
