Abstract

Indigofera zollingeriana is a bush type legume plant that grows well in full light but tolerant to shade conditions. Modification efforts of the environment with paranet shade treatment are the accurate approach. The objective of this research was to study the tolerance limit of I. zollingeriana plant at various shade levels. The study was conducted in October 2016-April 2017 at the Leuwikopo-IPB Bogor and used randomized block design with one shade factor (0, 40, 65, and 80%). The results of the measurement of microclimate with various shading levels showed that in the shade treatment 40%, the intensity of light decreased by 40% the temperature decreased by 6%, while the humidity increased by 10%. In the 65% shade, the light intensity decreased by 62%, the temperature decreased by 10%, while the humidity increased by 24%. In the 80% shade, the light intensity decreases 95%, the temperature decreases 13%, while the humidity increases 34%. The shade intensity has a real significant on decreasing stem diameter, number of branches, canopy dry weight, and roots. I. zollingeriana is rather tolerant of shade and it is able to adapt to shade up to 40%.

Abstract

           The study aims to assess the effectiveness of a long draining cuttings in sandy soil media on the growth of frangipani cuttings (Adenium obesum). The results showed: Cuttings drained to increase as emerging shoots, number of shoots, number of leaves, number of roots and root length. Cuttings drained 8 hours tend to be significantly stimulated the growth of root cuttings Adenium on sandy soil media.Keywords: Draining, adenium, sandy soil media.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengembangan lahan rawa sebagai lahan pangan saat ini sangat strategis dan prospektif dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan,hal ini disebabkan karena lahan rawa mempunyai (1) produktivitas masih rendah, (2) lahan potensial masih luas, (3) indeks pertanaman (IP) masih rendah, (4) lahan terdegradasi yang potensial masih luas, dan kompetisi pemanfaatan lahan untuk tujuan nonpertanian relatif rendah. Oleh karena itu pengembangan kawasan tanaman pangan skala luas dan terencana merupakan program terobosan yang tepat.Tujuan pengabdian adalah mendampingi masyarakat tani dalam melakukan survey lahan dan membantu menganalisis potensi komoditi yang cocok dikembangkan. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan terhadap 5 desa wilayahKecamatan Danau Seluluk Kabupaten Seruyan, Propinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Waktu kegiatan Juli–Agustus 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil survey lahan dan analisis unsur hara serta kesesuaian lahan memperoleh informasi bahwa lokasi lahan berpotensi dikembangkan untuk budidaya pertanian rawa lebak dengan komiditi antara lain: padi lebak/rawa lokal (siam unus dan siam sampit), palawija (jagung manis), umbi-umbian, holtikultura (semangka, labu).­­­Abstract: Swampland development as food land is currently very strategic and prospective in supporting food security, this is because swamps have (1) low productivity, (2) large potential land, (3) cropping index (IP) is still low, (4) The potential for degraded land is still extensive, and competition for land use for non-agricultural purposes is relatively low. Therefore, the development of large-scale and planned food crop areas is the right breakthrough program. The purpose of this service is to assist the farming community in conducting land surveys and to help analyze the potential for suitable commodities to be developed. Community service was carried out in 5 villages in the Danau Seluluk District, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. During the July – August 2019 activities. The method used in this service was descriptive method. Based on the results of land survey and analysis of nutrients and land suitability, information is obtained that the location of the land has the potential to be developed for lowland swamp farming with commodities including: local swamp rice (siam unus and siam sampit), secondary crops (sweet corn), tubers , horticulture (watermelon, pumpkin).

Abstract

One of the plants favored by all levels of society is cucumber because the fruit is consumed in fresh form, besides that it is also an ingredient in cosmetics, medicines and can be used as industrial raw materials. The type of research land is sandy soil which has problems, namely poor structure, low water absorption and storage capacity. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of interaction between chicken manure and bokashi Kayambang on the growth and yield of cucumber plants on sandy soil. The study was arranged in a factorial manner, using a Randomized Block Design with 2 treatment factors, 3 levels and 3 repetitions. The research stages started from land preparation, nursery, planting, maintenance, fertilization, maintenance and harvesting. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the plants that were given single treatment with bokashi Kayambang had a very significant effect on plant height at 21 and 28 DAP, number of leaves at 14 DAP, fruit length and number of fruit. While the combination treatment of chicken manure with bokashi Kayambang did not occur in all the observed variables. Cucumber fruit production per hectare using chicken manure treatment 2 t ha-1 and bokashi Kayambang 15 t ha-1 resulted in a weight of 2,911, 6 kg -1

Abstract

The yard is a green open space that has economic value. The society's devotion was conducted on Sunday, October 22, 2017, in Ciherang Village, Bogor, West Java. The purpose of community service was to grow the spirit of public awareness of the importance of preserving the environment within the scope of the family and the surrounding environment. The method used was FGD (Focus Group Discussion) method and application. The research used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the high enthusiasm and awareness about environmental awareness in the field of the yard. Overall awareness raising of the community requires cooperation between various parties.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of bokashi application tofu and rice husk on the growth and yield of chilli (Capsicum anum L.) Bhaskara variety. The experiment was conducted using a completely randomized design ( CRD ) factorial . The first factor is the dose bokashi application tofu ( T ) 4 levels , : T1 = 4 t ha-1 (50 g/polybag) , T2 = 6 t ha-1 (75 g / polybag ) , T3 = 8 t ha-1 (100 gram/polybag) , T4 = 10 t ha-1 ( 125 g / polybag ) . The second factor husk dose application ( A ) 4 levels , : A1 = 6.4 t ha-1 (80 g / polybag ) , A2 = 8 t ha-1 ( 100 g/polybag ) , A3 = 9.6 t ha-1 (120 g/polybag) , A4 = 11.2 t ha-1 (140 g polybag) treatment was repeated three times 48 experimental units.The results showed that the interaction of treatment administration bokashi application tofu and rice husk collectively with influential sangatnya taterhadap the meter plant height , flowering plant age , number of productive branches , the amount of fresh fruit per plant and fresh fruit weight per plant . The highest yield parameters plant height ages 20 , 30 and 40 DAS (31.00 cm , 46.90 cm and 61.77 cm) , flowering plant age and number of branches ( 19.33 HST and 14 , 00 branches ) , and the amount of fruit and fresh fruit weight per plant ( 38.67 and 69.37 g fruit ) obtained on the interaction perlaku bokashi giving tofu a dose of 10 t ha-1 ( 125 g / polybag ) and rice husk with a dose of 11.2 t ha-1 140 g/polybag (T4A4). Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the yield quality of maize (Zea mays L.) cultivated on sandy soil. It was carried out at the Research Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya for 4 months starting from August-November 2021. The results of the research on the vegetative phase in the form of plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter had a significant effect. The results of the observation of the generative phase, both dry weight of cobs without cob, dry weight of seeds given treatment have a very significant effect on crop yields. The best maize yields were using a combination of dolomite lime treatment at a dose of 6 t ha-1 and cow manure at a dose of 30 t ha-1 which resulted in a dry weight of cobs weighing 246.2 g cob-1 and dry shelled weight weighing 190.0 g per 100 seeds.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the effective dose of chicken manure in the peanut cultivation using sandy soil. The data were analysed by a one-factor randomized block design with 4 levels repeated 4 times, therefore that 16 experimental units were obtained. The treatment dose level was in the form of fertilizer, sometimes chicken. The variables observed were: plant height (cm), number of wet pods planted (pods), weight of wet pods planted (g), weight of dry pods planted (g), number of seeds planted (seeds) and weight of dry seeds planted (g). The result showed treatment of chicken manure dose at a dose of 15 t ha-1 (A3) gave a very significant effect on all plant height variables. Treatment dose of manure 5 t ha-1 also had a significant effect on yield variables in the form of number of pods, wet pod weight, and dry pod weight. The most effective doses were 10 t ha-1 (A2) and 15 t ha-1 (A3). In addition, the variable number of seeds and dry seed weight of treated pods at a dose of 10 t ha-1 (A2) gave the highest number of seed pods at 76.50 seeds plant-1 and the heaviest pod dry weight was 45.06 g plant-1.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and find the effective dose of cow manure on the growth and yield of sweet corn on sandy soil. Using a 4-level randomized block design with 4 replications and 16 experimental plots. Variables observed were: plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, fruit length, weight of cobs with cob and weight of cobs without cob. The results of the study found that the application of cow manure had a significant effect on all growth variables. While the yield component variable in the form of cob weight without husks per plant showed that a dose of 25 t ha-1 (10 kg plot-1) was the best treatment and produced a cob weight of 202.10 g plant-1.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan kiambang menjadi kompos sebagai pupuk organik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melatih mitra untuk memanfaatkan kiambang yang selama ini dianggap sebagai gulma air menjadi produk yang bermanfaat yaitu kompos. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan bermitra dengan kelompok tani “Palangka Raya Bertani” di Kelurahan Tumbang Tahai Kecamatan Bukit Batu, Kota Palangka Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktek, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah mitra mendapatkan pengetahuan baru dalam membuat kiambang menjadi kompos, dapat menghemat biaya pembelian pupuk untuk kegiatan pertanian dan memiliki peluang usaha kompos.
