Abstract

Oil palm empty fruit bunches are materials used as organic fertilizers that can be applied to oil palm plantations, thereby reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers. Indigofera zollingeriana is an appropriate alternative as an interplant because of its high branch and leaf development. Functions as a ground cover and a supplier of carbon stocks naturally plays a role in water and soil conservation. This study aims to determine the effect of oil palm empty fruit bunches and I. zollingeriana on land improvement to support oil palm growth and production. Variables observed included changes in soil water content, soil microorganism activity, and carbon stock. The results showed that the soil planted with I. zollingeriana and given the empty fruit bunches of oil palm had a higher soil moisture content. The highest soil carbon stock, oil palm carbon stock, and vegetation carbon stock were 81.6 t ha-1, 36.60 t ha-1, and 1.89 t ha-1, respectively. The population and activity of microorganisms varies. The highest total microorganisms were treated with I. zollingeriana and oil palm EFB 105 (10⁵CFU g-1), while the lowest was 60 (10⁵CFU g-1). Planting I. zollingeriana and providing oil palm empty fruit bunches increased groundwater reserves by 36.71%.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to test and analyze the effect of chicken manure doses and NPK doses on the growth and yield of purple eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L) on sandy soil. Carried out at the Research Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. The research period is June-September 2023 using a completely randomized design with two treatment factors. The first factor is the provision of 3 levels of chicken manure and the second factor is 3 levels of NPK treatment. Each was repeated 3 times, totaling 27 experimental units. The results of the research can be concluded that the effectiveness of the treatment dose of chicken manure influences the growth variables (plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves), namely at the treatment dose of chicken manure 30 t ha-1. The NPK dosage treatment had an effect on the yield components, both fresh fruit weight and harvest index, namely at an NPK dosage of 400 kg ha-1. In the yield component variable, the highest fruit weight was 297 g plant-1.

Abstract

Pakcoy is a leaf vegetable that comes from tropical and subtropical regions. The advantages of pak choy compared to other vegetables are that it has high economic value, short harvest time, wide adaptability and long-lasting harvest, namely around 10 days, so it has great prospects for cultivation. The research aims to analyze and determine the effect of the interaction of a mixture of boiler ash waste and fiber and NPK fertilizer (2 factors) on the growth and yield of pakchoy. The research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatment factors and 3 replications. The first treatment factor is the dose of waste mixed with boiler ash and palm fiber while the second treatment is NPK fertilizer. The results of the research showed that the interaction between the treatment of a mixture of boiler ash waste and lint and NPK fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weight of the plant, fresh weight of the crown, weight and harvest index. The best treatment for the fresh crown weight variable when applying a mixture of boiler ash and lint waste is 19.35 g polybag-1 or 12 tons ha-1, while the best treatment for NPK fertilizer is 0.48 g polybag-1 or 350 kg ha-1. Keywords: boiler ash waste compost, fiber compost, growth, yield

Abstract

Green beans are one type of food crop as a source of vegetable protein that has advantages in terms of agronomy and economy compared to other beans. The study aims to determine the effect of chicken manure, banana peel LOF and the interaction of the two treatment factors on the growth and yield of green beans in sandy soil. Held in September 2024-December 2024 at Jl. Aggrek, Gang Damai, UMPR Campus II Complex, Kereng Bangkirai Village, Sebangau District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. The study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications and 2 treatment factors, the first treatment: chicken manure with 3 levels: 10, 15, 20 t ha-1 while the second factor was the provision of banana peel LOF concentration with 3 levels, namely a dose of 40 ml LOF / 200 ml of planting water, 60 ml LOF / 200 planting water, 80 ml LOF / 200 ml of planting water. The results showed that the treatment of chicken manure had a significant effect on growth variables in the form of plant height and number of leaves and had a significant effect on the yield variable in the form of dry seed weight per planting. While the treatment of banana peel LOF had an effect on the growth variables of plant height and number of leaves and had an effect on the yield variable in the form of the weight of 100 dry seeds. Furthermore, the interaction of the two factors of chicken manure and banana peel LOF treatment had a significant effect on the yield variable, namely the variable of dry seed weight per planting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the interaction of two treatment factors, namely cow manure fertilizer and NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer, as well as the effect of each treatment on the growth and yield of green eggplant in sandy soil. The research will be conducted from October 2024 to March 2025, located at the Research and Experimentation Garden (Campus III Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya, Jl. Ir. Soekarno No. I, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan). The study will employ a factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 treatment factors, 9 treatment combinations, and 3 groups. The treatments for cow manure fertilizer will consist of 3 levels: 5, 7.5, and 10 tons per hectare. The NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer treatment will have 3 levels: no NPK fertilizer (control), 200, and 300 kg per hectare. The results of the study indicate that the interaction of cow manure and NPK 16-16-16 fertilizers significantly affects growth and yield variables, namely plant height, fruit length, number of fruits, and weight the cultivation of green eggplant. Based on the research conducted, the researchers recommend the use of a manure dose of 7.5 tons per hectare and an NPK fertilizer dosage of 200 kg per hectare.

Abstract

Chili is a green product that is exceptionally prevalent with all bunches. Hence, seriously development procedures are critical to meet generation needs. The reason of this consider was to analyze and test the impact of chicken excrement and NPK medicines on the development and generation of chili plants in sandy soil. Conducted for 4 months from April-July 2024, found in Kereng Bangkirai Town, Sabangau Locale, Palangka Raya. The think about utilized a 2-factor Randomized Square Plan. The to begin with figure was chicken fertilizer treatment with 4 levels and the moment calculate was NPK treatment with 3 levels, so that 12 combinations were gotten. Each combination was rehashed 3 times, so that all 36 exploratory units were gotten. Based on the comes about of the consider, it appeared that all factors watched were as it were fertilizer treatment that had an impact, both development and surrender factors. The most noteworthy execution was appeared in plants treated with chicken fertilizer at a dosage of 40 t ha-1. The most elevated number of chili natural product harvests was 96.06 plants-1, the most noteworthy gathered natural product weight was 3x collect weighing 322.47 g plants-1. The collect potential is calculated based on the most elevated natural product weight, planting separate 40 x 40 cm, duplicated by the number of plant populace ha-1, coming about in 62,500 plants ha-1, so the gather potential is 20.15 t ha-1.
