Abstract

[Negeri Hila Salam-Sarane and Kaitetu (Islam-Christian) is one of the many areas in Ambon Maluku which is unique in constructing its social typology. This uniqueness is reflected in the integrative postponement pattern that negates religious tendencies in every social process. Why not, ideological unity within the framework of the Orang Basudara (Hidup Bersaudara) becomes the main actor in achieving an integrative nature which of course makes customary values as the basis. A sheet of history that cannot be forgotten when the Hila Sarane (Christian) community is affiliated with the Hila Salam (Islamic) customary system, which triggers a socio-cultural responsibility as well as a capital in the formation of collective consciousness based on customary values in order to define and construct ideal peace. The facts of life described have experienced tremendous shock when the outbreak of bloody conflict between two major groups, namely Muslims and Christians in Ambon City and its surroundings in 1999. Ambon City became very tense when fellow Ambonese people were confronted to kill and destroy one another. . However, this fact was easily broken by the people of Hila Salam-Sarane and Kaitetu countries, who did not kill each other at all but instead saved each other. Historical peace insights in customary relations are imitated and used to build an integrated action. The people of Hila Slam-Sarane and Kaitetu continue to live a peaceful lifestyle, even though their social life bodies have to be affected by the conflict, resulting in territorial segregation until today. This study aims to look at the peaceful construction based on customary values in the Hila Salam-Sarane and Kaitetu communities. The results of the study found that the interpretation of the meaning of the customary system has built a solid interfaith life framework in facing the various dynamics of life that are sometimes counter-existent.]

Abstract

The development of the education system in the 3T region has always been a never-ending discourse. Suboptimal development progress, limited access to basic infrastructure, and acute disparities that impact the quality of community education make the 3T region interesting to discuss in order to formulate various functional approaches to the community and regional context, as seen in Abio and Huku Kecil. Using qualitative research methods, this research prioritizes a community-based perspective as an option to formulate an adaptive and functional education system to the objective conditions of the community, by formulating social capital as a basic framework for developing an inclusive and bottom-up education system as an effort to reform the characteristics of the education system that tends to be top-down and direct rules. This research found that the activation of a community-based social approach that includes bonding social capital, bridging social capital, and linking social capital, functions to bridge various strategic educational needs through the active involvement of community members as networked subjects and forming a support system in the implementation of education. The span of regional control that hinders the redistribution of educational resources, without realizing it, frames the creative efforts of the community in overcoming the complexities inherent in itself.
