Abstract

Abstrak. Semantik adalah cabang linguistik yang mempelajari tentang makna. Kajian semantik kemudian berkembang dengan melibatkan unsur makna dan pengalaman manusia. Pemaknaan memegang peranan penting bagi kajian semantik karena pemaknaan merupakan proses akhir suatu komunikasi (aktivitas berbahasa) untuk mendapatkan kejelasan dan kebenaran dalam menangkap informasi makna akan sesuatu hal agar kelangsungan komunikasi tetap terjaga tanpa menimbulkan kesalahpahaman. Metafora adalah suatu strategi untuk menyampaikan pesan menggunakan pemakaian kata atau ungkapan lain secara implisit dengan membandingkan suatu hal yang abstrak dengan hal konkret. Struktur metafora utama yang utama ialah (1) topik yang dibicarakan; (2) citra atau topic kedua; (3) titik kemiripan atau kesamaan. Hubungan antara topik atau citra dapat bersifat objektif dan emotif. Berdasarkan pilihan citra yang dipakai oleh pemakai bahasa dan para penulis di berbagai bahasa, pilihan citra dapat dibedakan atas empat kelompok, yakni (1) metafora bercitra antropomorfik, (2) metafora bercitra hewan, (3) metafora bercitra abstrak ke konkret, (4) metafora bercitra sinestesia atau pertukaran tanggapan/persepsi indra. Kata Kunci: Semantik, Metafora, Surat Kabar Abstract. Semantics is a branch of linguistics that learns about meaning. Semantic studies then develop by involving elements of human meaning and experience. Meaning plays an important role for semantic studies because meaning is the final process of communication (language activities) to get clarity and truth in capturing meaningful information about something so that the continuity of communication is maintained without causing misunderstandings. Metaphor is a strategy for conveying messages using implicit words or other expressions by comparing an abstract thing with concrete things. The main main metaphor structure is (1) the topic being discussed; (2) second image or topic; (3) point of similarity or similarity. The relationship between a topic or image can be objective and emotive. Based on the choice of images used by language users and writers in various languages, the choice of images can be divided into four groups, namely (1) anthropomorphic imagery metaphors, (2) animal-image metaphors, (3) abstract to concrete metaphors, (4) metaphor with synesthesia or exchange of sensory responses / perceptions. Keywords: Semantic, Metaphor, Newspaper

Abstract

The aims of this study to find out the quality of E-learning based on learning media using Moodle LMS on text of observation. This type of research is development research in the field of education known as Research and Development (R&D). Development research (development research) is research that is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products (Tegeh and I.M, 2013). The result of this study show that The quality of e-learning based learning media using LMS Moodle which was developed as a learning media on the observation report text material is stated to be a useful and effective contribution in improving the quality of learning outcomes of 10th grade TJA1 Vocational School Telkom Shandy Putra Medan. This is because there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the average value of students before using e-learning based learning media (pre-test) ie 57.0 or only about 52% are able to exceed KKM and after using e-based learning media learning using LMS Moodle (post-test) the average value of students increased to 77.0% or can be interpreted as 100% of students able to exceed the KKM. Based on these data the difference is increased by 20% or can be interpreted student learning outcomes increased by 58%.
