Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the needs of the development of thematic learning model based on aneuk jamee culture integrated with HOTS. The study was conducted by survey method in 9 Elementary Schools in South Aceh Regency. The research subjects were 18 classroom teachers who taught thematic learning. The object studied was the principal's response to the development of a thematic learning model based on Aneuk Jamee tribe integrated with HOTS, the tendency of teachers to apply thematic models in school learning, student reasoning, and student character. Data collected by interview, questionnaire, observation, and test. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis show that (1) principals have not yet fostered the development of thematic models, so they support development efforts, (2) teachers have not yet developed and used thematic models, so they support and express readiness to be involved in development, (3) learning models used by teachers so far there are no indications that lead to thematic models based on Aneuk Jamee integrated with HOTS.

Abstract

The aims of this study to find out the quality of E-learning based on learning media using Moodle LMS on text of observation. This type of research is development research in the field of education known as Research and Development (R&D). Development research (development research) is research that is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products (Tegeh and I.M, 2013). The result of this study show that The quality of e-learning based learning media using LMS Moodle which was developed as a learning media on the observation report text material is stated to be a useful and effective contribution in improving the quality of learning outcomes of 10th grade TJA1 Vocational School Telkom Shandy Putra Medan. This is because there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the average value of students before using e-learning based learning media (pre-test) ie 57.0 or only about 52% are able to exceed KKM and after using e-based learning media learning using LMS Moodle (post-test) the average value of students increased to 77.0% or can be interpreted as 100% of students able to exceed the KKM. Based on these data the difference is increased by 20% or can be interpreted student learning outcomes increased by 58%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the planning, implementation and evaluation of tutorial model on distance learning Indonesian courses in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program, State University of Medan. This research was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The data collection in this study was non-participant observation. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentages. The results showed that the planning tutorial model was significant, realistic, relevant, certain, thorough, adaptable, good time allocation and good planning content. The implementation of tutorial model had been going well and was in accordance with the syntax of the model. The evaluation of tutorial model was in accordance with the learning assessment indicators, namely educational, authentic, objective, accountable, and transparent.

Abstract

In teaching learning process at SMP Darulmuta'alimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil, code switching and code mixing are useful in some events. This does not only happen to students, but also teachers who have the same background (mother tongue) as students. A teacher at SMP Darulmuta'alimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil uses the local language or mother tongues so that the students are being taught understand. In accordance with the explanation of Article 36, Chapter XV, of the 1945 Constitution, it can be seen that the language of instruction is used in the teaching and learning process in the Indonesian class. This type of research is qualitative analytical descriptive, which seeks to describe the characteristics of the data in accordance with the actual situation. The description is described as it is systematically, factually, and accurately regarding the data and characteristics of the phenomena under study. The data shows that the code switching event in Indonesian language learning in grade VII-A SMP Darulmuta'alimin Tanah Merah Aceh Singkil, which is from the Singkil language to Indonesian. Since the beginning of the conversation in the learning process, the teacher and students communicate using Singkil and the end of their conversation using Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Describe the audio visual learning media based on genius learning which is effective for class X students of SMK Tritech Informatika Medan, (2) Describe the results of the development carried out on genius learning-based audio visual media for class X SMK Tritech Informatika students. Medan, (3) Describe the reasons for using audio-visual learning media based on genius learning in developing exposition text learning media. This research is a development research using the Borg & Gall model which aims to develop an audio-visual learning media based on genius learning that will be used as an exposition text learning medium. This learning media will be tested from material experts, design experts, media experts, Indonesian language teachers, and students of SMK Tritech Informatika Medan, consisting of 3 students in individual trials, 9 students in small group trials, and 25 students in field trials. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. (1) The results of validation by material experts with an average of 79% with good criteria, (2) validation results by media experts with an average of 80% with good criteria, (3) validation by instructional media design experts with an average of 82 % with very good criteria, (4) the response of Indonesian language teachers with an average of 86% with very good criteria, (5) the acquisition of individual trial results with an average of 78.5% with good criteria, (6) The acquisition of trial results small group with an average of 79% with good criteria, (7) Acquisition of field trial results with an average of 83.54% with very good criteria, (8) Student learning outcomes before using audio-visual learning media based on genius learning were 66.2 and after using audio-visual learning media based on genius learning with an average score of 78 in the good category. The difference obtained is 11.8. This proves that the genius learning-based audio-visual learning media developed can improve student learning outcomes, thus, this genius-based audio-visual learning media is effectively used in learning exposition text.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social interaction and children's language skills on language politeness of fourth grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 06 Sei Muka, Datuk Tanah Datar District, and Batubara Regency. Data collection was carried out by using a questionnaire for social interaction variables and language politeness, and multiple choice tests for language proficiency variables. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study show that the Social Interaction variable has a positive influence on Language Politeness. The results of data analysis for the effect of Social Interaction on Language Politeness amounted to 0.000 <0.05 and tcount 27.531> ttable 2.063. Obtaining data for the effect of Language Ability on Language Politeness is 0.024 <0.05 and the tcount value is 2.431> ttable 2.063. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been done, the Language Ability variable affects Language Politeness. While the results of data analysis for the effect of Social Interaction and Language Ability together on Language Politeness is 0.000 <0.05 and the value of Fcount is 349.654> Ftable 3.39, so it can be concluded that the Ha test is accepted, which means that there is an influence of Social Interaction and Language Ability together on Politeness of Language.

Abstract

Early observations made on the Indonesian language teacher, Henny Indriany, S.Pd. at SMAN 3 Medan, explained that the assessment instrument carried out by the teacher was only on the selected assessment technique according to the characteristics or abilities of students. Whereas the assessment process in writing scientific papers is very good and effective if the principles of this assessment are considered when the teacher is: (1) there are clear restrictions on what is prioritized for assessment. (2) the selected assessment technique must be in accordance with the characteristics or abilities to be measured. (3) comprehensive assessment requires various types of assessment techniques. (4) should be aware that the assessment techniques used have limitations. (5) the assessment must be used to improve the learning achievement of students. Data regarding the quality of the character assessment instrument based on rational data (validator assessment) is taken using a validation sheet filled in by experts in the field of educational assessment, and the preparation of a psychological scale. The expert validation sheet consists of four answer scores, namely 1, 2, 3, and 4. The number of questions is 20 items so that the range of scores obtained is between 20-80. The results obtained are converted into the following eligibility criteria. Learning Indonesian, especially writing poetry based on character education which is served to students, aims to train students to be skilled in language, especially writing by expressing ideas and feelings creatively and critically. Learning to write poetry in high school according to the 2013 Curriculum aims to improve the skills of students in appropriate and creative language, increase the ability to think logically, critically and reason, and increase the sensitivity of feelings and the ability of students to understand and implement the values of character education in everyday life. day and in the school environment.

Abstract

The learning process and assessment instruments provided do not cover three authentic domains in the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to describe the process of developing an authentic text assessment tool to describe the process of developing authentic assessment instruments on anecdotal text material for class X students of SMK Yapim Indrapura, Batubara Regency; describe how the appropriateness of authentic assessment instruments on anecdotal text material; and describe how effective authentic assessment instruments are on anecdotal text material. This study refers to the Borg & Gall development model. The results showed that: (1) development of authentic assessment instruments on anecdotal text material based on research and preliminary information collection, planning, initial product development, design validation and evaluation, product revisions, assessments and suggestions of language teachers and students, revisions, individual trials, revisions, small group trials, revisions, limited field trials, revisions until the product is valid and fit for use; and (2) the average percentage of all sub-components from the results of the material expert validation is 87% with "very good" criteria. The average percentage of all indicators from the results of expert evaluation validation for the multiple choice form instrument is 90.63%; for the description instrument is 89.54%; and for psychomotor instruments is 90%. All evaluation expert assessments are at criteria of "very good". The teacher response results have an average total percentage 96% with "very good" criteria. The results of student responses are declared feasible and meet needs, the total percentage is average 91.6% with the overall criteria of "very good".

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) To determine the differences in students' creative thinking skills in writing free poetry between students who are taught with the synectic learning model compared to the reciprocal learning model; (2) To determine the differences in students' creative thinking skills in writing free poetry between students who have high learning interest compared to low learning interest; and (3) to determine the interaction between learning models and interest in learning in influencing students' creative thinking abilities in writing free poetry. This research was conducted at SDN 112320 Aek Kota Batu. The research method used is a quantitative method with a 2x2 experimental design. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique in this study used the Two Way Anova test. The results showed that: (1) There is a significant difference in the average creative thinking ability of students who are taught with the synectic model compared with the average thinking ability of students taught with the reciprocal model (Fcount = 11.664 and sig. 0.001 < 0.05) ; (2) The average creative thinking ability of students who have high learning interest is higher than the average creative thinking ability of students who have low learning interest (Fcount = 12.165 and sig. 0.001 < 0.05); and (3) There is an interaction between learning models and interest in learning in influencing students' creative thinking abilities (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011 < 0.05).

Abstract

This developmental research aimed to analyze the Effectiveness of Using Folklore Text-Based Learning Media Literacy in Class X Students of MAN Tg. Pura. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Tg Pura in class X students. The implementation of this research is planned to be carried out in February 2019 to April 2019. The data in this study are the results of observations, interviews, material validation questionnaires and learning media design, perception questionnaire results. teachers of the learning media developed, as well as student learning outcomes, amounting to 35 people. The observation data in the form of the value of learning to write saga text totaling 35 students so far and the results of interviews in the form of the opinions of 2 Indonesian language teachers regarding learning to write folklore texts (saga) were obtained from Indonesian students and teachers. Data in the form of material validation and learning media design were obtained from the validator/team of experts, as well as data on learning outcomes from students before and after using the developed learning media.  The results of students' learning ability in writing literacy-based folklore texts after using the developed learning media were in the "very good" category with an average value of 81.14 and the average value before using literacy-based folklore text learning media of 66, 57 which is in the "good" category. This proves that student learning outcomes are higher after using literacy-based folklore text learning media with a significance difference of 14.57%.
