Abstract

The Convergence Hypothesis is still an interesting topic by looking at whether between regions are reaching the point of convergence or divergence in economic activity, the farther apart or the economic gap between regions is getting smaller. The analysis tool with multiple linear regression uses the Fixed Effect model approach, this study uses the per capita GRDP variable in the research year and the previous year. The secondary data is in the form of panel data with 15 districts and cities and the 2015-2019 research time series. The results of the study explain that there has been an absolute convergence process, this is marked by a negative and significant coefficient, an indication of the speed of reducing the economic gap by 4.8%, the time required in a process of reducing the gap from the initial gap is 14.17 years between 15 districts and cities in Lampung Province 2015-2019.

Abstract

This study aims to research the causality relationship between industrial agglomeration in labor, fisheries production, and fisheries households in Tanggamus district. The agglomeration index measured using the Balassa Hoover Index analysis tool and Geographic Information System (GIS) using Geoda. The data used are secondary data obtained directly from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Department of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs of Tanggamus Regency. The number of cross-section data is 20 districts in the period 2012-2016. analyzed using the Granger Causality Analysis method. The Hoover Ballassa index results show a strong degree of agglomeration in only 6 districts. The results of the analysis of the relationship between states of origin state that there is a unidirectional causality between the agglomeration and labor variables, which statistically significantly influence the agglomeration and do not apply otherwise. Unidirectional causality occurs between agglomeration variables and fisheries production only fisheries production which statistically significantly influences agglomeration and does not apply vice versa. Unidirectional causality occurs between agglomeration variables and fisheries households ie only fishery households that statistically significantly influence agglomeration and do not apply otherwise.

Abstract

The analysis results used in the problem of poverty are increasingly developing as the understanding of the problem of poverty becomes more complex in the spatial and temporal patterns, seeing the patterns and characteristics of a phenomenon with spatial imaging and study of patterns is the main objective of this study by looking at the pattern of the percentage of poor people and the level of inequality. The method used is processing Moran's I spatial data, Moranscatterplot and LISA, testing development inequality with the Williamson Index, The research area covers 15 districts/cities in 2015-2019. Spatial linkages The percentage of poor people between districts/cities in Lampung Province has a positive Moran's I value, has a spatial pattern with the same characteristics and is clustered. Development inequality is negative Moran's I, Development inequality has a spatial pattern with different characteristics in 2015 -2019. Poverty analysis indicates that during the 5-year study period, 5 districts in Lampung Province were still trapped in high poverty levels, The results of regional development inequality with the Williamson index indicate 3 regions with high levels of inequality, 4 areas of moderate inequality and 8 regions with low levels of inequality.
