AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa kebersamaan, kepedulian sosial, dan semangat nasionalisme di kalangan anak-anak melalui perlombaan tradisional dalam rangka memperingati Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia pada tanggal 17 Agustus. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di lingkungan tercipta keakraban antarwarga. tujuan khusus pengabdian masyarakat melalui kegiatan perlombaan permainan anak-anak pada perayaan Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia di RT 04 RW 05 kelurahan paupire kecamatan Ende Tengah Kabupaten Ende Flores Nusa Tenggara Timur,melibatkan masyarakat setempat dengan melibatkan anak-anak usia 5–12 tahun. Perlombaan yang diselenggarakan meliputi lomba balap karung, tarik tambang, makan kerupuk, dan estafet air, yang dirancang untuk melatih kerja sama tim, sportifitas, dan keceriaan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini melibatkan perencanaan lomba, pembagian kelompok peserta, pelaksanaan lomba, serta pemberian penghargaan dan apresiasi kepada pemenang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingginya antusiasme anak-anak dan orang tua, terciptanya suasana kebersamaan, serta meningkatnya rasa cinta tanah air melalui kegiatan yang edukatif dan menyenangkan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang memadukan nilai pendidikan karakter dan budaya lokal dalam rangka memperingati hari kemerdekaan. The activities were carried out in an environment that created familiarity between residents. The specific purpose of community service through children's game competitions at the celebration of Indonesian Independence Day in RT 04 RW 05, Paupire Village, Ende Tengah District, Ende Regency, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, involving the local community by involving children aged 5–12 years. The competitions held included sack races, tug-of-war, cracker eating, and water relays, which were designed to train teamwork, sportsmanship, and joy. The method of implementing this activity involved planning the competition, dividing participant groups, implementing the competition, and giving awards and appreciation to the winners. The results of the activity showed the high enthusiasm of children and parents, the creation of an atmosphere of togetherness, and an increased sense of love for the homeland through educational and fun activities. This activity is expected to become a model for community service activities that combine character education values and local culture in commemoration of independence day.
