Abstract

This study is to analyze the management of improving the quality of learning at SMP IT Al Kaffah Binjai, from the aspects of planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical study method. Data collection was done through interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that efforts to improve the quality of learning at SMP IT Al Kaffah are managed well and effectively. This is viewed from (1) planning, including the formation of a curriculum development team, managing learning activities according to the national education calendar, ensuring teachers create learning programs, planning for student recruitment preparations (new students or transfer students), school orientation and additional programs, and preparation learning planning documents; (2) organizing, including a structured delegation of school organization, starting from the founder delegating it to the foundation, the foundation delegating it to the principal, as well as the principal who is assisted by representatives, teachers and education staff; (3) implementation, including the process of interaction between teachers and students as well as learning facilities; and (4) supervision, including internal supervision (principal) and external supervision (supervisor from the Binjai City Education Office), which oversees the academic and managerial aspects of the school.

Abstract

The Qur'an must be seen as a role model in various aspects of life, not only regarding dogmatic teachings, but also in science. One of the branches of science is education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the policy of extra-curricular educators in increasing students' understanding of the Islamic religious scriptures at SDN South Labuhanbatu Regency. This study seeks to obtain complete and in-depth information about the implementation of the BTQ program policy in South Labuhanbatu Regency. Therefore, researchers used this type of research with a qualitative approach with an analytic descriptive method. The data analysis was carried out by describing the data obtained with words or sentences separated into categories to obtain conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of extracurricular teaching staff policies in an effort to improve students' understanding of the Islamic religious scriptures at SDN Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency was categorized as very good, this was indicated by (1) the implementation of the policy as of May 2018, including coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of performance. teacher; and (2) Each month the teaching staff receive an honorarium of Rp. 1,500,000 from the South Labuhanbatu Regency government and are given training every six months and all honorarium teachers use the syllabus given by the South Labuhanbatu Regency Education Office.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the management of fostering the academic potential of students during the Covid-19 pandemic at MTsN Tanjungbalai City. The focus of the discussion includes management functions (planning, implementation, supervision, supporting, and inhibiting factors in the process of fostering student potential. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that (1) planning is carried out at the beginning of each semester, including the determination of the learning system online or offline, fostering activities for students to take part in online madrasa science competitions (KSMO) and implementing home visits; (2) the implementation of learning is considered good, this is indicated by the presence of active teachers and education staff (the evidence is finger print results), students learning from via the WhatsApp Group application, coaching students to take part in KSMO, conducting home visits by teachers for students who have no news during the application of online learning; (3) supervision is carried out directly by the head of madrasa and deputy head of madrasa (WKM) in the academic field using mobile phone facilities and madrasa internet network h connected to all online groups of students and teachers; and (4) supporting factors, namely the activeness of teachers in providing guidance to students, while the inhibiting factors are the students' economy which is inadequate to access the internet network, many students who are not actively studying online in class groups, and the discovery of students who quit school during the Covid-19 pandemic.
