Abstract

Mango farmers in Sindang Kasih Subdistrict have been in partnership with UD Wulan Jaya for quite a long time so that there should have been an impact obtained by farmers, especially related to their farming income. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the farmers' income of mango farmers who do mango partnerships with the characteristics of farmers and farmers' perceptions about aspects of the partnership. This research uses a quantitative research design by conducting a survey. The sample withdrawal technique used is a simple random sampling technique such that it is obtained 38 farmer respondents in partnership with UD Wulan Jaya. The data analysis technique used is crosstabulation analysis. The results found that the characteristics of farmers who tend to be relate to the farmer income are age, farming experience, land area and productivity per tree. Meanwhile, the aspect of partnership tends to relate to the income of mango farmers are the completeness of planning, dependence on price determination, increase in income, price guarantee, quality of production results, and mastery of technology.

Abstract

Coffee shop entrepreneurs must not only be able to sell their products and services, but also must have the ability to understand consumer tastes. This study aims to examine the behavior of coffee shop consumers from aspects of coffee buying patterns, preferences, satisfaction and customer loyalty. The study was conducted in 2 coffee shops namely Jigana Coffee Shop and Kedai Kopi Inspirasi located in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency, West Java. This study uses a quantitative research design conducted by survey methods on 27 consumers of Jigana Coffee Shop and 45 consumers of Kedai Kopi Inspirasi obtained through systematic sampling techniques through the calculation of the Cochran formula. Data analyzed using frequency distribution tables. The results showed that the pattern of coffee purchases by consumers in Jigana Coffee Shop and Coffee Shop Inspiration mostly with the reason simply wanted to try and want to get a comfortable atmosphere by drinking coffee in a coffee shop and chatting with friends or spouse around 17:00 to 21:00. Discounts and "buy one get one" promotions greatly affect consumer interest in visiting coffee shops. While in terms of consumer preferences, the most preferred types of drinks are Espresso based and Manual Brew. As for the types of drinks the most preferred by consumers are french fries and toast. Then regarding satisfaction and loyalty, most consumers were satisfied after a visit to the coffee shop and were interested in making a repeat visit.

Abstract

In the monetary crisis that occurred in 1998, the agricultural sector has shown its resilience as a hero in saving the nation's economic downturn. In the use of land for farming, no longer only pay attention to wetlands but begin to look at dry land, with all its characteristics such as tofografi (landscapes), water availability, and soil fertility, such as herbs and or medicines. The purpose of this study is to describe the business orientation ( cultural values) in farming. The research design is quantitative, with descriptive survey techniques from a sample size of 30 farmers. The results of the study, farmers' orientation in farming began to shift from social orientation to economic orientation, by keeping or aligning themselves with nature.

Abstract

The long history of the South West Java region is also the history of large private plantations stretching from the colonial era to the current situation. Another reality shows that generations of plantation workers who lived for generations, trying to survive by utilizing the land of former private plantations. This study aims to determine the sociodemographic conditions farmers that cultivated ex-private plantations in Cianjur Regency and their livelihoods. The research method uses a survey and descriptive statistical analysis, while the sample is farmers who cultivated on ex- private plantation. The results showed that the farmers in the study area had an age range between 18 to 82 years. The age structure of smallholder farmers shows the productive age of both male and female smallholder farmers. The average family dependent is 3 people and most tenants own ≤ 0.5 hectares of land. The pattern of livelihood of the family of the tenants depends on the agriculture of paddy fields, utilization of forest products in the form of wood, construction workers and other jobs to fulfill the lives of the farmers and their family.

Abstract

Kedai kopi menjadi bagian dari gaya hidup serta banyak digemari oleh konsumen kopi sehingga menjadi prospek usaha yang menjanjikan. Menjamurnya kedai kopi ini menyebabkan ketatnya persaingan bisnis sehingga terjadinya fluktuasi penjualan bagi kedai kopi yang kurang dapat bersaing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik konsumen, proses bisnis, serta potensi dan kendala yang dialami Jigana Coffee Shop dan Kedai Kopi Inspirasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dengan alat analisis statistic deskriptif. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini ada 27 orang pada Jigana Coffee Shop dan 45 orang pada Kedai Kopi Inspirasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik konsumen di Jigana Coffee Shop dan Kedai Kopi Inspirasi didominasi oleh laki-laki dan pada usia produktif, yaitu dari 20-30 tahun dengan penghasilan rata-rata Rp 1.000.000 - Rp 5.000.000. Dari segi perilaku konsumen, sebagian besar konsumen kedua kedai kopi tersebut lebih tertarik dengan kedai kopi yang rasanya enak/nikmat dan suasana yang nyaman. Proses bisnis yang ada di Jigana Coffee Shop dan Kedai Kopi Inspirasi ini relatif sama. Potensi dan kendala dari Jigana Coffee Shop dan Kedai Kopi Inspirasi ada pada variable produk, lokasi, fasilitas, kelengkapan alat, dan sumberdaya manusia.
