Abstract

Abstract: The Relevance of Tasawuf Teachings in Modern Time.Tasawuf is a medium of getting oneself closer to God, based on the practices of the Prophet Muhammad and his Companions. In addition, the Holy Qur’an contains numerous verses urging muslims to do so. Sufi doctrines–such as zuhd, wara’, mujahadah, murâqabah, and muhasabah has in fact become part of religious traditions among Indonesians. However, they have not become essential elements of social developments. The present writer explores some aspects of tasawuf and how it becomes  relevant to contemporary situation.Kata Kunci: Tasawuf, spiritualisme, era modern

Abstract

This aims of this study is to find out Traditions and Rituals of the Naqshbandiyah Order of Pondok Persulukan Darul Aman Purbaganal, Sosopan. This study use qualitative research design. The result of this study shows that the tradition starts from surrendering oneself to the sheikh or murshid then bathing and dikapi, accepting the tarekat, taking allegiance and others full of traditions and rituals. By staying at Pondok Persulukan, you will be able to follow the traditions, including Suluk customs to completion, genealogy and diplomas. At the Darul Aman Islamic Boarding School, the Ancient Naqsyabandiyah Order, Ganal Sosopan, North Padang Lawas, it was also a tradition to perform ablution, maintain self-purity, perform fardu prayers in congregation during seclusion or not, dhikr, tawajuh, halaqah talaqi, and rabithah.which of course have their own rituals. The results of the tradition at Pondok Persulukan are the adab tradition of respecting the murshid and the tradition of genealogy and diplomas.In relevating the traditions and rituals inherent in the substance of Suluk with Islamic teachings in contemporary life, there are changes found in Pondok Persulukan Darul Aman Naqsyabandiyah North Padang Lawas, especially in traditional and ritual processes. The goal is to accelerate the achievement of increasing understanding and in building personal character and noble character for all tarekat practice students, the existence of linkages in Suluk activities to fulfill religious spiritual needs in society and the existence of the Suluk tradition in the development of non-formal Islamic education.

Abstract

This paper deals with Zuhud Practice among ASN Ministry of Religion Tanjungbalai City. Zuhud in Islam appeared at the time of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions which was reflected in the form of behavior. The author places zuhud on the second criticism, namely the practice of zuhud in the context of modern life which is influenced by the economic, social, cultural, scientific and so on. This research uses qualitative research by conducting field research and supplemented with library research. The research approach is a sociological approach and constructivism. The sociological and constructivist approach is carried out by observing the zuhud activity in religious policies in public spaces carried out by ASN (State Civil Apparatus) at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of TanjungBalai City in their daily social life. Based on the classification of zuhud, it can be stated that with zuhud a person can control himself from unlawful acts. That is the level of zuhud of ordinary people. If a person is able to live a zuhud lifestyle, then he will not commit corruption even though the opportunity is possible because his heart is filled with love and Allah's supervision of him. Leaving things that are forbidden requires people to seek wealth sincerely through hard work, and professionals who will prevent them from bribery, manipulation, corruption, oppressing the weak and so on. So that its existence will provide peace and happiness for others and the environment.

Abstract

The study deals with the actualization of maqamat and ahwal in modern life (study of the naqsyabandiyah Babussalam congregation, Langkat). The purpose of writing this article is to find out the following: 1) Understanding and practicing maqâmat and aḥwâl in the Naqsyabandiyah Babussalam congregation, Langkat; 2) Implementation of maqâmat and aḥwâl on the pilgrims of the Naqsyabandiyah Babussalam congregation, Langkat; and 3) Efforts to implement maqâmat and aḥwâl of the salik and congregations of the Naqsabandiyah Babussalam congregation, Langkat.. It can be concluded that the understanding of maqâmat and aḥwâl in the Naqsyabandiyah Babussalam Langkat congregation, the existence of a maqâmat linkage in the formation of akhlaq al-karîmah means that it can be understood that information on spiritual experience which is also known as inner view as a sign for the sālik when dhikr can also contribute to every sālik as a good Sufi as knowledge and as a driving force for changes in mental attitudes and noble character. So that it can help the sālik to undergo various maqāmat, in order to achieve a good state (aḥwāl).
