Abstract

Several previous studies have found that gamification can be a very helpful tool in increasing student effectiveness in learning. But unfortunately, the application of gamification is still very limited. As a result, teachers are still hesitant to adopt games as a teaching tool because of the limiting factors, such as the complexity of the game, the complexity of adapting to the desired results, the lack of student involvement and the difficulty of incorporating it into the learning curriculum. This study uses data from various previous studies, to then be analyzed and found conclusions. The results of the research then show that the game as an educational platform must have a character in the form of being able to adapt to various educational goals; provide access for teachers to be able to control student engagement; increase and decrease the level of difficulty to be able to maintain the desired level of complexity; and maintain student interest by balancing the difficulty level with the student's ability level.

Abstract

In Indonesian national education, the concept of decentralization is still a relatively recent one. It has been mandated by the government in Indonesia's Education Law number 20 of 2003. It is the goal of this research to examine the strategic concerns surrounding Indonesia's education decentralization strategy and then develop alternate strategies for putting them into action. The development of decentralized education is supposed to provide more space for stakeholders. Descriptive analysis and a qualitative method are used in this investigation. Researchers found that Indonesia's main challenges in implementing education policies are in quality control, financing, and teacher professionalism. This can serve as a guide for both central and regional governments to create powerful formulas for making appropriate policies so they can improve education quality. It is impossible to apply the decentralization concept without taking into consideration political and sociological considerations.

Abstract

Education can only be changed by society itself. Education is a picture and image of the community itself so that if the quality of education is good, the quality of the community is also good. Therefore, it is necessary to make an educational policy that does not only focus on the theory that will be developed by students. One of the efforts in creating education policy is to involve education and politics because education today cannot be separated from politics. Various education policies launched by the minister Nadiem Makarim often receive political visits from members of the council and also several mass organizations. This affects an important role in determining education policy. The success of future generations cannot unlock today's generation and the education it receives. It can be said that politics can make education in a country better or vice versa.

Abstract

In 2019, the emergence of the Covid-19 virus in China caused a lot of anxiety. Then in 2020, this virus continued to spread throughout the world, resulting in a pandemic. The existence of this pandemic has changed many aspects of life, including aspects of teaching and learning activities in schools. Indonesia as a country that was also affected by the effects of this pandemic then tried to implement distance learning activities. Unfortunately, the implementation of this education policy is still not perfect, causing many students to find it difficult because this policy has not been carried out optimally. This study uses the results of previous studies and existing reports on the effects of the pandemic on education in the areas of Indonesia that experienced the most severe effects as a result of the pandemic. The results of this study then show that virtually, the infrastructure for conducting online learning has been formed, but unfortunately there are still various factors that hinder the implementation of online education policies, such as looser regulations for students in the online school learning process, teaching staff who still do not understand technology and parents who do not understand the distance learning process.

Abstract

Each country has differences in religious and educational policies. This policy difference also occurs in Indonesia and Japan. This study then analyzes the differences that exist in religious education in Japan and Indonesia in various aspects. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The data comes from the results of previous studies and research. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the implementation carried out by Japan and Indonesia. Japan does not really care about religious education, while Indonesia fully supports religious education in their country. This difference is not only caused by the character of the people, but also the ideological differences of different countries. However, both countries have an important role for religious education in their respective countries.
