Abstract

UPT Bulupountu Jaya terletak di Kecamatan Sigi Biromaru Kabupaten Sigi dikenal sebagai daerah yang kaya dengan potensi sumberdaya alam diantaranya sumberdaya pertanian khususnya hortikultura dan peternakan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat dalam bidang pertanian yaitu kurangnya ketrampilan tentang tata cara peningkatan produk hasil pertanian. Atas permasalahan tersebut maka solusi yang dilakukan adalah melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan masyarakat dalam penerapan teknologi usaha tani terintegrasi tanaman dan ternak. Metode yang dilakukan adalah, pelatihan, demplot teknologi, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis kearifan lokal. Target luaran yang diharapkan adalah peningkatan kapasitas sumberdaya petani sehingga mampu mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi khususnya dalam bidang usahatani terpadu dan terintegrasi tanaman dan ternak. Hasil pelaksanaan program PKM menujukkan bahwa petani – peternak sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan kompos dari limbah tanaman dan limbah ternak, dengan pelatihan tersebut maka limbah pertanian dan peternakan yang sering menjadi sumber pencemaran lingkungan di sekitar permukiman warga sudah dimanfaatkan menjadi saprodi pertanian, sehingga usahatani yang dikembangkan menjadi usahatani tanpa limbah (zero waste agriculture), bahan dasar pembuatannya sangat mudah diperoleh karena pada dasarnya terdapat di sekitar lokasi pertanaman dan sangat melimpah, dan dengan mengikuti pelatihan tersebut, petani memiliki pemahaman dan kemauan yang kuat untuk mengurangi bahkan tidak lagi menggunakan pupuk anorganik dalam kegiatan usaha tani.

Abstract

Post harvest handling is very important to produce quality and high quality seeds. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best post-harvest handling with different storage methods to produce quality and quality seeds with the best germination. This research was conducted in Tamarenja Village (Kalama Valley), Sindue Tobata District, Donggala Regency and seed testing was carried out at the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University. This research was conducted from October 2019 to February 2020. This research was arranged using a two-factor factorial randomized block design (RBD), the first factor consisting of two storage areas, namely: P1 = indoors, P2 = outdoors, while the second factor consists of three storage times, namely: W1 = one month and W2 = two months, and W3 = three months, which was repeated six times so that there were 36 experimental units where each experimental unit consisted of 50 seeds with a total of 1,800 seeds used. Data analysis used Fisher's test and continued with the BNJ test at 1% level. The results showed that the yields stored by hanging outdoors for 3 three months resulted in germination (71.00%), germination time (2.23 days), percentage of moldy seeds (9.33%), and percentage of moldy sprouts (9.33%).

Abstract

The information of agroclimate zonation according by Oldeman and Schmidt – Ferguson, and the potential of changes has never been done before. So, the purpose of this study is to determine the potential of agroclimate zonation changes according by Oldeman and Schmidt – Ferguson in the Palu Valley Central Sulawesi. The method used in this study is by counting the number of wet and dry months based on observation and prediction data results using ANN. The results of zonation according by Oldeman and Schmidt – Ferguson show that 2 points have the potential to changes and 2 points are fixed. The zonation by Oldeman at the Stageof Palu which was originally type E5 changes to E2 and Tawaili from E5 changes to E3, then based on Schmidt – Ferguson at Stageof Palu which was originally type F changes to E and Tawaili from F changes to D. This research found that the potential for agroclimate zonation of changes according to Oldeman and Schmidt Ferguson in the upcoming period has the potential will changes towards wetness due to the increasing number of humid and wet months, and the decreasing number of dry months.
