Abstract

This descriptive study was conducted in November 2013 to August 2014, aims to evaluate the project work skills and social attitudes through Project-Based Learning (Pj-BL) in SM3T participants Lanny Jaya district. This study used a total sampling technique involving 32 teachers SM3T-UR, and distributed 4 to 5 people per district on the 7 district. Parameters consisted of: a. skills tasks and projects with components of each item: 1) preparation (design, schedule, coordination of activities); 2) implementation (suitability of activities, suitability schedules, documentation, licensing and constraints); 3) The product that report and essay stori with the assessment format, content, systematic writing, documentation); b. Social attitudes includes honesty, discipline, responsibility, polite, caring and confident). The data of skills collected in the form of reports and stori, then analyzed using pothpolio sheet. Social attitudes data were collected using a sheet of self-assessment questionnaires and peer assessment questionnaire. Data were analyzed by determining a score, percentage and tabulated, and then analyzed descriptively. Results of the study found Skills project tasks in 6 districts Lanny Jaya categorized Good, and the district excellent categorized, is participants of Nokapaka district. Component lowest skill district is implementing a project on the item suitability with the implementation of planning activities, suitability with the implementation of the planned schedule and constraints in implementation in categorize Quite. Reporting skills and overall stori work items categorized Good. Social attitudes of participants SM3T-UR in the monitoring-1 are likely lower than the monitoring-2. Lowest social attitudes in the monitoring-1 is confident, meanwhile the lowest monitoring-2 is the attitude of caring and polite. Social attitudes of participants Very Good is in Makki districtand Nokapaka district. Conclusion is skills of project task and social attitudes of participants SM3T-UR categorized Good. From the project task, we can concluse that Pj-BL can aim the profile skill and social attitude from SM3_T participants. Keywords : Project-Based Learning, Skills project task, Social attitudes, SM3T Program.

Abstract

There have been studies to determine the application of the learning model ofProblem Based Learning (PBL) to the scientific attitude of students in learningbiology class XI IPA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2013/2014. This study wasconducted in May 2014 with a sample of students of class XI IPA 1 (grade control) bythe number of students 33 and XI IPA 4 (experimental class) by the number ofstudents 32. The parameters used in the study of critical attitude, honest, open, conscientious and earnest. Collecting data using a scientific attitude observation sheet.Average scientific attitude in the experimental class was 84.39% in both categories, while the control class with 40.69% less category. Based on the research results, it canbe concluded that there are differences between the scientific attitude of studentsusing the experimental class learning model PBL in the learning process incomparison with the control class learning using lecture and discussion. Keywords: Scientific Attitudes, High School Senior, Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning model to theStudents' Science Process Skills of The Second Year Students of SMAN Plus of RiauProvince in learning Biology. This study was conducted from April to June 2013using the quasi experiment method with design research by posttest only controlgroup design. Samples were students of class XI.IA.4 (control class) and XI.IA.3(experimental class) which were determined based on random sampling technique.Research variables consisted of independent variables, namely Problem BasedLearning model and the dependent variable which was the students' science processskills with indicators were observation, communication, application, inference, andprediction. Data collected by using the observation sheet. The results showed that theobservation indicator on the control class was 66.67%, while the experimental class at100%. Communication indicator in the control class was 56.89%, whereas theexperimental class was 90.74%. Application indicator on the control class was33.33%, while 93.06% in the experimental class. Inference indicators on control classwas 39.56%, whereas the experimental class was 84.72%. Prediction indicator on thecontrol class was 33.33%, while the experimental class got 100%. The average scoreof process skills in control class was 45.96% with moderate category, while in theexperimental class was 93.70% with a very high category. Inferential statisticalanalysis results obtained t.test = 42.61> t.tabel 2.01 (significant). The students' highestskill score of science process skills were at observation and prediction skills (100%),while the lowest one was the inference skills (84.72%).Keywords: Learning Biology, Model Problem Based Learning, Science Process SkillsStudents
