Abstract

Background:One of the problems in stroke patients is a decrease in muscle strength due to hemiparesis which affects the client's self-acceptance. The study aims is to determine the effectiveness of  combination mirror therapy and ROM on upper limb muscle strength and self-acceptance stage in stroke clients with hemiparesis.Materials and Methods:Quasi experimental research with pre-post control group design was done on 36 respondents with consecutive sampling technique, for 3 months in the stroke room. Upper limb muscle strength was measured using a Medical Research Council scale, while the self-acceptance stage used a self-acceptance stage questionnaire based on the Kubler Ross adaptation stage. Data were analyzed using wilcoxon and Mann-Witney test with p value <0,05.Results: Wilcoxon test known p value <0.05 for muscle strength and self-acceptance stage both in the treatment group and in the control group. The result of analysis of muscle strength difference between treatment group and control is known p value = 0.000, while for self-acceptance stage known p value <0,05 for denial, anger, bargaining and depression, At acceptance stage known p value 0,05. This analysis shows that there is a significant difference in muscle strength and self-acceptance at the denial, anger, bargaining and depression stages after being given a combination of mirror and ROM therapy with stroke clients given ROM therapy alone.Conclusion: Combination of mirror therapy with ROM can be used as nursing intervention in the hospital, especially on ischemic stroke clients with hemiparesis to increase muscle strength and self-acceptance of client

Abstract

Background: Play therapy is an effort to change problematic behavior by placing children in play situations. Anxiety is a pathological condition characterized by feelings of fear accompanied by somatic signs, a sign of a hyperactive autonomic nervous system. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of "Worried Doll" play therapy on the level of anxiety in preschool children with hospitalization in Navy Hospital Dr. Ramelan Surabaya. Materials and Methods: The study design was a quasi-experimental approach Non-equivalent Control Group with a total of 204 research respondents preschool children are cared for in Rumkital Dr. Ramelan Surabaya. The results showed that playing “worried doll” therapy was effective in reducing the level of anxiety in pre-school age children who experienced hospitalization. Results: Based on the results of the statistical test in the intervention group, the P value was 0.007

Abstract

Productive nurses are produced from qualified educational institutions. To achieve optimal work productivity growth required several supporting factors, one of them is the harmonious working climate.  This work purports to obtain a photo of the workplace climate and its relationship to employee productivity. The dimensions of the employment climate in search are (1) the concept of the psychological dimension of employees; (2) the structural proportions of employees; (3) social dimensions of employees; (4) employee bureaucratic dimension.  This research uses a quantitative and qualitative approach. The Result of research (1) Worker productivity at Stikes Hang Tuah Surabaya shows good work productivity (58%), unfavorable (42%), (2) Psychological dimension related to work productivity; (3) Structural dimension is not related to work productivity; (4) Social dimension related to work productivity; (5) The bureaucratic dimension is not related to work productivity. Recommendations for the management, need to be developed further standard performance of a team sharing development and application of a fair reward system for the achievers and penalties for the violators
