Method: In this study using a correlation analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. The research population of all stunting infants in the working area of the Surabaya Kenjeran Health Center was 325 infants in 4 Kelurahan including Kenjeran Kelurahan, Bulak Kelurahan, Kedung Cowek Kelurahan, and Sukolilo Kelurahan. The sample technique uses Probability Sampling by using Stratified Random Sampling as many as 97 babies. The research instrument used a questionnaire to determine breastfeeding. As well as measuring the degree of stunting using an observation sheet adjusted to the z-score table (body length / age). Results: The results showed that infants aged 6-12 months who experienced the worst degree of stunting consume milk partially. The Spearman rho test showed an association between breastfeeding and the degree of stunting ρ = 0,000 (ρ <α = 0.05). Conclusion: Breastfeeding is related to the degree of stunting, so that it can be socialized about the movement of the first 1000 days of life and counseling about providing complementary foods suitable for the age of the baby to cadres in the Work Area of the Kenjeran Health Center in Surabaya.

Abstract

Older adults and people who have a history of chronic disease (comorbid) are more at risk of contracting COVID-19, one of which is diabetes mellitus (DM). The role of cadres is needed to increase the DM patients’ resilience during the pandemic. Optimizing this resilience can be realized in achieving cadres’ performance where motivation is one factor. This activity is performed by increasing information to comorbid diabetes mellitus patients during the pandemic using coaching level, implementation level, and evaluation level. The motivation and performance were measured using questionnaires with observational analysis method. This activity was carried out on December 20, 2020, and was attended by 23 cadres under the guidance of the Candi Sidoarjo Health Center. From the observations and analysis results, it was found that 100% of cadres have high motivation, and 100% of cadres have good performance towards efforts to optimize the resilience of patients with diabetes mellitus comorbid in the Covid 19 pandemic era. Performance is a function of motivation, competence, and work system. The cadres’ self-motivation makes the urge to behave (performance) that provides benefits to others; this will give the cadres some satisfaction (self-actualization) and help to achieve government programs through posyandu activities. The cadres’ involvement is essential in optimizing the resilience of patients with diabetes mellitus comorbid in the Covid 19 pandemic. The motivation and performance of cadres need to be maintained and even increased to create a physically and mentally healthy society.

The results of research on children under five who experience the incidence of stunting with the frequency and duration of ARI indicate children who experience stunting and longer frequency. The Rho Spearmen Test showed differences in the incidence of stunting with the frequency of ARI frequency p = 0.001 (p<? = 0, 05), the duration of ARI p = 0.001 (p<? = 0.05). The implication of this study is that stunting is related to the frequency and duration of ARI, so that posyandu activities can add counseling about children's health that requires the treatment of ARI in children under five in the Kenjeran Health Center Surabaya.
