Abstract

Minuman fungsional merupakan salah satu pangan fungsional. Sebagai pangan fungsional minuman fungsional tentunya harus memenuhi dua fungsi utama yaitu memberikan asupan gizi serta pemuasan sensori seperti rasa yang enak dan tekstur yang baik. Proses pengolahan tanaman herbal menjadi minuman fungsional memerlukan pengetahuan tentang kandungan senyawa aktif dan teknik formulasi. Formulasi atau campuran pada minuman fungsional menjadi bagian terpenting dari minuman fungsional agar cita rasa yang dihasilkan dapat diterima masyarakat dan fungsinya bagi kesehatan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Uji organoleptik dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat keseukaan atau kelayakan suatu produk agar dapat diterima oleh panelis (konsumen).Kandungan senyawa aktif pada bahan minuman fungsional dapat meningkatkan aktivitas senyawa antioksidan yang dapat meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh.

Abstract

Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) merupakan penyakit kronik yang progresif merusak ginjal sehingga mengganggu kesimbangan cairan dan elektrolit tubuh yang berdampak terhadap semua sistem tubuh. Kelainan yang sering terjadi pada penderita gagal ginjal kronik adalah peningkatan kadar fosfor darah yang dapat memicu terjadinya komplikasi penyakit serius, serta penurunan kadar kalsium darah yang dapat menghambat proses sekresi di ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar fosfor anorganik dan kalsium darah pada penderita gagal ginjal kronik yang sudah mendapat terapi hemodialisa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah croos sectional study, dimana dikumpulkan data dari 110 penderita gagal ginjal kronik dengan terapi hemodialisa yang melakukan pemeriksaan kadar fosfor anorganik dan kalsium darah. Prevalensi penderita gagal ginjal kronik yang mengalami hiperfosfatemia sebanyak 55 pasien (50%) dengan rerata kadar fosfor anorganik 6,3 mg/dL, serta prevalensi penderita gagal ginjal kronik yang mengalami hipokalsemia sebanyak 21 pasien (19.1%) dengan rerata kadar kalsium 8.0 mg/dL. Hasil uji korelasi Perason antara kadar Fosfor anorganik dengan kalsium memiliki nilai koefesien korelasi -.096. Nilai sig pada hasil uji adalah 0.317, yang menunjukan hubungan yang tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Pada pasien dengan diagnosis gagal ginjal kronik ditemukan kadar Fosfor anorganik tinggi dengan kadar kalsium yang rendah.

Abstract

Loloh beluntas is one of the traditional Balinese drinks that have properties to maintain body fitness and health. Efforts to improve the quality of the traditional Balinese drink, namely loloh beluntas, need to be carried out in order to obtain adequate and hygienic results so that they can enter the market share. In this PKM there is a partner, namely Mrs. Ketut Murniati who produces loloh beluntas every day to be marketed in Saba Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. At this time, there are some constraints of partners namely: lack of knowledge and skills in the processing of loose beluntas from scratch making raw materials to manufacture loose beluntas that hygenis (tools that are still manual), yet well preserved making it less able to compete with otherproducts loloh. Lack of knowledge about properpackaging and labeling techniques loloh to produce more attractive products and do not yet have a product identity. Lack of storage space for loloh beluntas that affects production and selling value. Based on the problems faced, it is necessary to carry out an activity to foster and assist partners so that they can improve the welfare of partners. The activity begins with socialization, providing tools to improve production quality, providing assistance in processing loloh and developing loloh beluntas packaging designs. Indicators of achievement are an increase in the knowledge and skills of partners in the processing of loloh beluntas, an increase in the amount of production and an increase in the amount of income.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan daun jelatang ayam (Laportea interrupta (L.) Chew) sebagai tanaman obat belum banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Hal ini karena kurangnya informasi yang diberikan. Selain itu, penelitian tentang tumbuhan jelatang ayam (Laportea interrupta (L.) Chew belum banyak dilakukan, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengujian awal untuk mengetahui kandungan dari daun jelatang ayam. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji skrining fitokimia ekstrak etanol daun jelatang ayam. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode skrining fitokimia. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh Ekstrak etanol daun jelatang ayam (Laportea. Interrupta (L.) Chew) mengandung metabolit sekunder seperti Flavonoid, alkaloid, triterpenoid, saponin, dan tannin.

Abstract

Tanaman kakao merupakan tanaman yang berbunga dan berbuah sepanjang tahun dan menjadi penyumbang devisa bagi Negara. Kakao tumbuh di Indonesia cukup melimpah. Pemanfaatan tumbuhan kakao bisa digunakan untuk berbagai macam jenis pangan makanan dan minuman karena semua bagian dari kakao bisa digunakan. Dalam Proses pengolahan kakao menjadi bahan pangan sangat tergantung pada sifat fisik dan kimia serta pada saat proses fermentasi. proses fermantasi pada biji kakao akan mepengaruhi kualitas dari produk yang dihasilkan dari pengolahan tanaman kakao.

Abstract

Avian influenza is a zoonotic disease transmitted from poultry to humans. The prevalence of AI disease in Indonesia is likely to be a global health threat because of the ease of mutation in each generation, which makes pathogenicity higher. However, detection efforts still use conventional methods, so a more sophisticated detection search is needed. This research aims to identify the DNA amplification process and the results of detecting avian influenza virus using real-time PCR. Qualitative research using samples from BBVet Denpasar in May 2022. The samples were analyzed using the real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT‒PCR) method, and the results obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results show that the RT‒PCR method is very effective for detecting the presence of AI quantitatively and molecularly. A graph that crosses the threshold on cycles lower than 40 indicates that a positive sample will show nominal Ct. No nominal Ct was detected in this study, and the graph did not cross the threshold, so the model tested negative for the AI virus. The DNA amplification process of the avian influenza virus begins with an amplification process of 40 cycles, with each cycle stage in the form of denaturation at 94 °C for 30 seconds, annealing at 64 °C for 60 seconds, and DNA synthesis at 76 °C for 30 seconds. One cycle is declared if the amplification process has passed these three stages.

Abstract

The system of traditional Balinese medicine is known as Usada. One type of plant used in Usada is basil (Ocimum basilicum L). Antioxidant activity and phytochemical of ethanol extracts of two varieties of basil, Ocimum basilicum L (var.) Bali (OcB) and Ocimum basilicum L (var.) Lombok (OcL) was investigated.  Total phenol was determined by folin-cioccalteu phenol reagent, total flavonoid by quarsetine reagent, tannin by Folin-Denis reagent, and antioxidant activity was determined using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging method and is expressed as IC50. All of the parameters were measured by spectrophotometer. Phytochemicals were determined by Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS) Analysis. Morphological characters (stems, leaves, and flowers) are also observed. The results showed, in OcB obtained 92 compounds, 10 of which are important compounds that have an antioxidant effect, while in OcL 139 compound components were found, 15 of which are important compounds. Levels of phenols, flavonoids, tannins, as well as IC50 in OcB are; 3526.65 mg GAE/100g, 15841.6795 mg QE/100g, 2402.80 mg/100 g, and 24.9410 mg/L, respectively, while in OcL respectively are; 3297.71 mg GAE/100g, 13242.30 mg QE/100g, 850.71 mg/100, and 33.1105 mg/L. Conclusions, morphologically OcB and OcL showed no difference except leaf width and petiole length. The antioxidant activity of OcB is better, as well as higher levels of phenols, flavonoids, and tannins compared to OcL.

Abstract

Lime (Citrus amblycarpa (Hassk.) Ochse) has been widely used in traditional medicine. However, only some studies have comprehensively revealed the content of leaves, including their use as candidate medicinal ingredients. This study aimed to analyze the active compounds of lime leaves through GC‒MS analysis and their benefits in traditional medicine. Experimental research with a laboratory approach is used. The implementation of research by analyzing the bioactive content of lime leaf ethanol extract using GC‒MS along with a comprehensive analysis related to its benefits as a traditional medicine agent. Data analysis using the Willey 7 Library database and descriptive analysis.  Using GC-MS showed that lime leaf ethanol extract contains 75 compound components dominated by 11 principal components, including citronellol, caryophyllene, hexadecanoic acid, ethyl ester, 1-heptatriacotanol, Phytol, ethyl 9,12,15-oate; methyl glycocholate, 3TMS derivative; 3,7-dimethyloct-6-en-1-yl stearate; ethyl iso-allocate; Rhopin; and tricyclo [20.8.0.0 (7,16)] triacontane, 1(22),7(16)-diepoxy-. Based on the findings of the content evaluation, the compound constituents of lime leaves have the potential to be developed as traditional remedies for both degenerative and infectious diseases. However, further research is needed precisely to identify the therapeutic effects exerted by using compounds on lime leaves.
