Abstract

ABSTRACTThe National Movement for Forest and Land Rehabilitation Program (GNRHL orGerhan) proclaimed in 2003, it is advisable to plant timber species, superior plantspecies, endemic plants and multipurpose species. Jelutung swamp (Dyera polyphyllaMiq. Steenis.) Is one of the types that fulfill the criteria, so it is promoted as a type offorest and peatland rehabilitation. The basic consideration of swamp jelutung has a goodadaptability and is tested on peatlands, its growth is relatively fast and can be cultivatedwith minimal land manipulation, and can be obtained the result of double result that iswood and sap. Peat soils have relatively low productivity due to poor nutrients, so needto pay attention to the nutrient needs of the plants. The solution needs to be donefertilization, you should use a complete fertilizer type such as NPK. Selection of NPKMutiara fertilizer because it includes inorganic fertilizer that has the advantage that is, theprovision of fertilizer can be measured and the dosage is right. The objective of thisresearch is to know how to fertilize and dose of NPK Mutiara fertilizer which givesoptimum growth on swamp jelutung plant. The expected benefits are as materialinformation and consideration of the selection of species for reforestation andrehabilitation of peatlands that want to develop the type of jelutung swamp plants. Keywords: plant growth, NPK, peat, jelutung swamp.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objectives of the research were to find out the composition of pure and generalworking time to total working time, work achievement of each felling team and averagework performance of all felling teams at the level of the sample size that was appropriatefor a research. The research method is Non Stop Method with t Test analysis. Fellingworkers observed were 3 (three) teams, samples were 35 trees/team or total sample were105 trees for 3 felling teams. The results showed that the average work time of the day:Team I = 191.33 minutes / day, Team II = 202.33 minutes / day, Team III = 190.00minutes / day, with average score (for the three squads ) = 194,55 minutes / day. Averageworking time composition (for all felling teams) in a day: Total Working Time (TWT) =194.55 minutes / day, Pure Work Time (PWT) = 179.02 minutes / day (92.01% of TWT )and General Working Time (GWT) = 15.53 minutes / day (7.99% of TWT). Averagefelling result: Team I = 50.03 m3 / day, Team II = 100.76 m3 / day, Team III = 63.25 m3/ day, with average score (for the three teams) = 72.01. Felling performance: Team I =16.32 m3 / hr, Team II = 29.88 m3 / hr, Team III = 19.97 m3 / hr, with average score (forthe three teams) = 22.06 m3 / hour. The result of t test shows the performance of TeamII is bigger than Team I and Team III, whereas Team I work achievement is notsignificantly different from Team III. The minimum number of samples required for thevalidity of this study was 61 units, while the number of samples that had been observedreached 105 units. Keywords: work result, felling, work achievement, working time.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSelection Sengon on an industrial scale is an appropriate choice to be prioritized for theDevelopment of Industrial Plantation Forest (IUPHHK-HTI). In 1989 Balai Besar Selulosa(BBS) in Bandung have researched pulp sengon derived from wood raw material for newsprintand other printing papers such as copier paper. Forest areas with special purpose is designated forthe purpose of research and development, education and training as well as cultural and religiousinterest of the local, in accordance with the mandate of law No. 41, 1999 without altering thefunction of the area. Sengon known by the botanical name as Paraserianthes falcataria, including in fabaceae family. Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) can grow on poor soils and alittle nest, dry soil, wet, or rather salty. The purpose of this research is for identify and knowingthe intensity of pests that attack in puppies sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) at the nursery inKHDTK (Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus) Tumbang Nusa, District of jabiren CentralKalimantan. This Research was conducted in the nursery area located in Kawasan Hutan DenganTujuan Khusus (KHDTK), Tumbang Nusa, District of jabiren Central Kalimantan for threemonths. The object being observed in this research is puppies sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria)which is in the area of the nursery with 3600 puppies sengon in the seedbed and seedling peststhat attack on sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria). Results of the study show the identification ofpests that attack pests sengon saplings in the nursery area for research there are two kinds of pestsare locusts and caterpillars. The frequency and intensity of pest attacks are 0,25 % and 0,18%with the level of damage including healty criteria. So the amount of frequency and intensity ofattack in puppies sengon are 0,25% and 0,18%.Keywords : Description of sengon, pests attack

Abstract

ABSTRACTForest exploitation (harvesting) on the production forest management using silviculturalsystem of Indonesian Selectice Cutting and Planting (ISCP) has been conducted since1989. This research was aimed to analyze forest degradation in the form of opened forestcanopy that be caused by harvesting using ISCP system. The research was located at theworking areas of 2018 at PT Gunung Meranti forest concession. Research samplesnamely 30 trees, they were divided into 6 diameter classes i.e. 41 to 50 cm, 51 to 60 cm,61 to 70 cm, 71 to 80 cm, 81 to 90 cm dan 91 cm up. Each diameter classes wascompiled into 5 trees. Research result show the equation of opened forest canopy whichcaused degraded forest that be analyzed using tree diameter, i.e. Y=24,472+0,4428X (R2=67,45%).Keywords: degradation, diameter, harvesting, equation
