Research aim to know the influence of pop up book media play therapy on preoperative anxiety level using general anesthesia in school-aged children in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta. Method use pre experimental type of study with one group pre test and post test without using control group. Sampling technique with purposive sampling as many as 20 patients of school-age children pre operative with general anesthesia. Data collected was then analysed using Wilcoxon Rank Test. The result pre-test therapy showed moderate anxiety as many as 13 people (65%), post-test play therapy showed moderate anxiety as much as 10 people (50%), decreased in severe anxiety and an increase in mild anxiety by 9 people (45% . Wilcoxon Rank Test test results known level of significance ? = 0,000 (? <0.05). Abstract

Hypertension is included in systemic diseases commonly encountered during physical examination of preanesthesia. Any time prolonged awakening from general anesthesia is one of the most common problems in the recovery room. The main cause is the pharmacological effects of anesthetic drugs, metabolic disorders, and neurological injury. Hypertension becomes one of the most common metabolic disorders in addition to hypoxemia, hypercapnia, hypotension, liver dysfunction, renal failure, endocrine regulatory disorders, and electrolyte imbalances. To know correlation of hypertension degree with prolonged awakening from general anesthesia at IBS RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This research is a non-experimental quantitative research with analytic observational research type and design used is cross-sectional. The study was conducted on 23 April to 23 May 2018. The study population of this study was all hypertensive patients who performed surgery with general anesthesia at IBS RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta within one month. The number of samples is equal to the number of population. Data analysis using chi-square.Respondents with high grade I hypertension did not experience prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (73.1%). In contrast, respondents with high grade II hypertension experienced prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (73.7%) .The results showed a correlation between degree of hypertension and prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (p = 0,002). The odds ratio value obtained 4.8 results so it is known that respondents with degree II hypertension 4.8 times greater risk of experiencing prolonged awakening from general anesthesia than respondents with degree I hypertension. There is a correlation between hypertension degree and prolonged awakening from general anesthesia

Abstract

Spinal anesthesia makes the patient remain conscious. 99% of people who will undergo anesthesia or surgery will experience pre anesthesia and surgery anxiety. Anxiety emerges because of several reasons, one of which is less information. By giving education through leaflet media, pateients are supposed to be more prepared to undergo the anesthesia process and get optimum results. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of health education by using leaflet media towards anxiety in pre anestesia patients with spinal anesthesia technique. This research method is using experimental quasi with two groups of intervention (leaflet) and control (visit only). The results of the research showed that pre-test anxiety in the intervention group was dominated by severe anxiety as many as 31 responden (86.11%), Medium anxiety was only one respondent (2.75%) and panic anxiety were 4 responden (11.11%), while the results of post-test in the intervention group experienced the decrease of anxiety on mild anxiety, namely 22 respondents (61.11%), Medium anxiety were 14 respondens (38.89%). From Mann Whitney statistical test with computer programs, it is obtained the output value of Asymp Sig. (2-tailed): 0,001 means that there is an influence on the use of leaflet media towards the decrease of anxiety in patients with spinal anesthesia in Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto.
