Abstract

= 6.  Kata Kunci : Data Gempa, Metode K-Means, Shilhoutte Index, Metode Clustering

Abstract

In the development of agricultural or plant technology, innovations are needed to increase efficiency in the process of accelerating growth and the harvest period. The application of physics in the fields of agriculture and biology is one that can be developed. One study that is very interesting to discuss is the application of the electroculture system, which uses electricity to help speed up the growth process and harvest period, in addition to growth and development of electroculture is also claimed to be able to minimize attacks by insect pests and viruses, in this article we review several studies related to the effect of the electroculture system on plants, and from several studies we can prove the effect of applying the electroculture system in accelerating the growth and development process, there are several ways to Electroculture applications include antenna systems, direct current, alternating current, development of electrogenetic seeds and the use of electrolysis

Abstract

Indonesia’s frequent earthquakes, caused by its position at the convergence of multiple tectonic plates, Indonesia's frequent earthquakes, caused by its position at the convergence of multiple tectonic plates, necessitate precise seismic zone identification to improve disaster preparedness. This research evaluates the effectiveness of five clustering algorithms—K-Medoids, K-Means, DBSCAN, Fuzzy C-Means, and K-Affinity Propagation (K-AP)—for analyzing earthquake data from January 2017 to January 2023. Using a dataset from BMKG encompassing 13,860 seismic events, each algorithm was assessed based on Silhouette Score and Cluster Purity metrics. Results indicated that K-Means provided the best balance, forming six clusters with a Silhouette Score of 0.3245 and Cluster Purity of 0.7366, making it the most suitable for seismic zone analysis. K-Medoids closely followed with a Silhouette Score of 0.3158 and Cluster Purity of 0.7190. Although DBSCAN effectively handled noise, its negative Silhouette values indicated poor clustering quality. Fuzzy C-Means and K-AP underperformed, with K-AP generating an impractically high number of clusters (196) and the lowest Silhouette Score (0.2550). This study offers a novel, comprehensive comparison of clustering algorithms for Indonesian earthquake data, emphasizing a dual-metric evaluation approach. By identifying K-Means as the most effective algorithm, provides valuable insights for disaster mitigation and seismic risk analysis.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in the post-pandemic educational environment are already underway in both schools and universities. However, there are also those who still apply a hybrid learning system, one of which is the learning system at Indraprasta PGRI University which still applies a hybrid learning system, namely the physics of motion course. Utilizing Android-based learning media can enjoy learning experiences, facilitating access to various educational resources. It is important to know the needs of students and educators in the process of learning physics of motion to improve the quality of learning, namely by conducting a needs analysis. The aim of this research is to determine the importance of the need for Android-based motion physics learning media. The method used in the research is exploratory descriptive research. From the results of observations and interviews conducted with several motion physics lecturers and observing learning activities in class, the methods used in learning still use classical methods. Learning the physics of motion using Matlab requires a video guide so that it is easy for students to understand. From the results of filling out the questionnaire via a questionnaire, it can be concluded that the results of the analysis of students' needs for Android learning media in the physics of motion course showed that 88.31% answered that they agreed with the development of an Android-based motion physics learning application. So it can be concluded that the development of Android-based motion physics learning media is needed by Informatics Engineering students at Indraprasta PGRI University.
