Abstract

Abstract Blind people only rely on their sense of hearing because they have a high hearing comprehension. One of the ways that blind people use to walk is like using a stick. But sometimes it is still difficult if you encounter a road surface with a hole so that not a few of the blind people often fall into the hole. Blind people also have difficulty if they encounter uneven road surfaces or flooded roads. From this, the design of the stick was made as a walker for the blind with audio and vibration output. The design of this tool uses the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor as detecting objects in front of the user and knowing whether a road has a hole or not. This design also uses a water level sensor to determine whether the road is inundated by water or not, especially on the hollow road. Then the design output of this tool is in the form of audio connected to the earphones and vibrations from the DC motor. The distance detected by the sensor for obstructions is at 100 cm, for potholes when 10-15 cm and for stagnant water when> 50%. If you want to stop using the stick, just push the switch on the stick again. The accuracy level of the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is very good, seen from the error calculation that has been done where the largest error value is obtained at a distance of 10 cm and 20 cm with an error percentage of 0.43% and 0.67%. Furthermore, the smallest error value is obtained at a distance of 30 cm with an error percentage of 0.04%. It can be seen that the ultrasonic sensor works well with an error percentage of0.27%.

Abstract

Bencana banjir adalah suatu musibah yang bisa merugikan manusia baik itu secara materi maupun non materi, sehingga diperlukan teknologi untuk mendeteksi banjir di sungai rindu hati. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan di wisata rindu hati adalah kelanjutan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan pada tahun 2021 yang lalu. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah memperbaiki alat pendeteksi banjir yang merusak dan meningkatkan daya PLTS sebesar 650 Watt. alat pendeteksi banjir yang diperbaiki adalah water level controller, inverter, charging controller, sensor level transmitter. Peningkatan daya PLTS menjadi 650 Watt mampu untuk menjadi sumber listrik alat pendeteksi banjir selama 5 hari tanpa ada sinar matahari. Perakitan alat  dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknik Elektro UNIB, penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang teknologi yang dibuat baik secara teori maupun praktek dilakukan di lokasi wisata rindu hati. Pengabdian masyarakat ini diikuti sebanyak 15 orang yang terdiri dari pemerintah Desa Rindu Hati dan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES) yang mengurus wisata rindu hati.

Abstract

The creation, transmission, distribution, and consumption of electrical energy are the first steps in the provision of electrical energy. The efforts that are made to conserve energy need to be continuously improved to supply electricity that is affordable. In order to conserve energy, it is necessary to have the backing of technology, laws, and legislation, in addition to applying behavioral discipline to those who utilize energy. To put it simply, a smart energy meter is one of the fundamental components of conservation technology. At the moment, the bulk of PLN's 67.6 million clients make use of traditional energy meters that are powered by electromechanical technology. The measuring device has not been incorporated with the technology that is associated with the internet of things (IoT). On the other hand, electronic items like televisions, washing machines, and air conditioners have started to adopt the Internet of Things and become smart devices. The integration of smart gadgets and smart meters enables the creation of an energy management system that can be used to the consumption and distribution of electricity in residential or commercial facilities. At Tiara Sella Hospital, which has a high monthly energy consumption, this community service project was carried out in order to measure the optimization of energy use and to determine opportunities for improvement. It is believed that the installation of this energy meter would result in improved and more reliable methods of measuring and estimating the amount of energy that is utilized within the hospital setting, which will allow for more sustainable optimization efforts.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance community-based digital promotion capabilities for tourism managers of Suban Lesung, located in Talang Ulu Subdistrict, Curup Timur, Rejang Lebong Regency. The program was conducted over three months and involved ten local tourism management community participants. Initial field observations and pre-test results revealed a low level of understanding regarding digital promotion strategies, particularly in using Instagram Business features. A participatory training approach based on the Community-Based Training (CBT) model was implemented to address this, covering content planning, Instagram Business management, and targeted advertising through Instagram Ads. The evaluation was done using pre-test and post-test instruments, as well as an analysis of the @subanlesung account's digital performance. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' understanding and the account's engagement metrics: a 36.27% increase in followers, over 100,000 content impressions, and notable audience growth especially among productive-age female users in Curup and Bengkulu. After the training, participants began independently managing content scheduling and production, including creating culturally inspired promotional materials. This initiative demonstrates that a structured, community-based digital training program can foster sustainable tourism promotion practices and empower local communities. The model also presents a scalable framework for similar rural destinations facing digital literacy and online branding challenges.
