Abstract

Adolescents with the nutritional status of obesity in Indonesia have increased in number each year. Factors causing obesity in adolescent is multifactorial. Excessive intake of macro-nutrient, increased consumption of fast food, lack of physical activity, genetic factors, psychological factors, the amount of pocket money, the influence of advertising, socioeconomic status, no breakfast, age, and gender are the factors of diet and lifestyle change. They may cause energy imbalance which results on obesity risk. The study aims to determine the factors that influence the risk of obesity in adolescent. This study is analytical observational with cross sectional design. 118 10th and 11th graders were taken as samples by proportional stratified random sampling technique. Statistical analysis showed that the factors significantly associate and become the risk factors are energy intake (p-value 0.000; OR = 2.97); protein (p-value 0.005; OR = 3.49); fat (p-value 0.000; OR = 6.57); carbohydrates (p-value 0.050; OR = 2.00); consumption of fast food (p-value 0.000; OR = 4.41); physical activity (p-value 0.007; OR = 3.08); pocket money (p-value 0.032; OR = 2.38); and genetic (p-value 0.001; OR = 3.98). Adolescents with excessive macro nutrient intake, frequent consumption of fast food, low physical activity, high pocket money and a history of obese parents have a greater occurrence risk of obesity.

Abstract

Background: Obesity is one of the diseases that experience an increase in prevalence every year. Diet arrangements low in energy and high in fiber can be done by obese people can carry out their diet. Goal : Make salviza instant cereal formula to be a good high fiber cereal drink for obese teens Method: This study is an experimental study using a non factorial RandomIzed Design (RAL) with 4 treatments. The study subjects were 25 organoleptic test panelists. Results : Based on the results of organoleptic test research (taste, texture, aroma and color) showed the preferred instant cereal salviza received is F3 with an average total receiving capacity of 16.56. The formula contains energy of 442.94 kcal (per 100 grams), protein 14.63%, fat 14.06%, carbohydrates 64.47%, water content of 3.83% and food fiber 9.84%. From the results of the analysis, the water content has not met the standards and fiber content of food is classified as high / rich. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the addition of bran, chia seeds and green bean flour in instant cereals salviza can be used as an altefnative drink that is high in fiber to combat adolescent obesity. Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 telah berlangsung lebih dari 2 tahun dan telah menyebar secara masif mengganggu sistem perawatan kesehatan dan banyak kematian di seluruh dunia. Hal ini menjadi penyebab terganggunya rutinitas sehari-hari sehingga sangat berpotensi besar mengganggu perilaku makan. Seperti keadaan sekarang ini terjadi pandemi covid-19 yang dapat mempengaruhi aktivitas masyarakat lebih banyak di rumah sehingga mempengaruhi ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku pemenuhan pangan dan pola pangan keluarga selama terjadinya covid-19 serta hubungan diantara variabel tersebut (Studi Kasus di TK Anggrek Palembang). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan crosssectional. Jumlah populasi 45 orang (orang tua siswa) dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 9% responden dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan makanan basah dengan cara memesan menggunakan aplikasi/online dan 13% untuk bahan makanan kering. Ditemukan perilaku responden dalam mengkonsumsi minuman probiotik dan suplemen cukup rendah yaitu dibawah 50%. Perilaku responden dalam pembelian makanan/minuman menggunakan aplikasi dengan frekuensi 1-3 kali dalam seminggu termasuk tinggi yaitu 89%. Ditemukan 16% responden tidak melakukan sarapan pagi. Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara umur, pengetahuan gizi dan pendapatan terhadap kecukupan energi responden.
