Abstract

Sarapan (makan pagi) adalah sesuatu kegiatan yang penting sebelum melakukan aktivitas fisik pada pagi hari. Sarapan pagi bagi anak sekolah sangatlah penting karena waktu sekolah adalah penuh aktivitas yang membutuhkan energi yang cukup besar. Untuk sarapan pagi harus memenuhi ≥ 20%- 30% kecukupan sehari. Hasil riset kesehatan dasar (RISKESDAS) 2010, menunjukkan besaran masalah gizi di Indonesia yaitu gizi kurang sebesar 17,9% pendek 35,6% kurus 13,3% dan gemuk 14,2%. Hal yang penting dalam kehidupan manusia adalah meningkatkan perhatian terhadap kesehatan guna mencegah terjadinya malnutrisi (gizi salah) dan resiko untuk menjadi gizi kurang, salah satunya melalui sarapan (Departemen Gizi dan Kesehatan Masyarakat, 2007).

Abstract

Background: Obesity is one of the diseases that experience an increase in prevalence every year. Diet arrangements low in energy and high in fiber can be done by obese people can carry out their diet. Goal : Make salviza instant cereal formula to be a good high fiber cereal drink for obese teens Method: This study is an experimental study using a non factorial RandomIzed Design (RAL) with 4 treatments. The study subjects were 25 organoleptic test panelists. Results : Based on the results of organoleptic test research (taste, texture, aroma and color) showed the preferred instant cereal salviza received is F3 with an average total receiving capacity of 16.56. The formula contains energy of 442.94 kcal (per 100 grams), protein 14.63%, fat 14.06%, carbohydrates 64.47%, water content of 3.83% and food fiber 9.84%. From the results of the analysis, the water content has not met the standards and fiber content of food is classified as high / rich. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the addition of bran, chia seeds and green bean flour in instant cereals salviza can be used as an altefnative drink that is high in fiber to combat adolescent obesity. Abstract

Introduction Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease caused by reduced insulin production from the pancreas and insulin produced is not effective in reducing blood sugar levels. This situation will increase blood glucose levels. Alternative therapy management to control blood glucose by utilizing food ingredients that can help reduce blood sugar levels, one of which is pumpkin flour and soybeans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving pumpkin flour cookies to a decrease in blood sugar levels in Type 2 DM patients in Palembang Social Health Center. Method is a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest with control group using a comparison group. The subjects of this study were 76 people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the Social Health Center who were willing and fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis uses t-dependent and t-independent tests. Results showed that there was an average difference in the determination of blood sugar levels in the treatment group at 59.89 mg / dl and in the comparison group at 17.89 mg / dl. The t-independent statistical test results obtained p-value <0.05 (0,000), that there was an Effect of Provision of Yellow Pumpkin Flour Cookies and Soybeans on Decreasing Blood Sugar Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Palembang Social Health Center. Conclusion There Is An Effect Of Provision Of Pumpkin Flour Cookies And Soy To Lower Blood Sugar Levels In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Palembang Social Health Center.
