Abstract

The problem of the study is low quality of process and learning result in mathematics of class V student at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru. The study aims at examining (a) the improvement of process quality and learning result in mathematics on nets geometry throught project-based learning of class V student at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru?.(b) Is there an increase in the quality of mathematics learning about geometry nets project-based learning of class V student at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru?. The study employed qualitative approach with a classroom action research with in cycles which consisted of the planning, the implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were teachers and 25 students of class V student at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru. Data were collected d through observation,test,questionnaire, and dokumentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The result of the study revealed that the project-based learning process can improve the quality of learning process in mathematics on nets geometry of class V student at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru viewed from the teaching activity and student’ learning in cycle I and II as well the improvement of the quality of learning result in mathematics on net geometry throught project-based learning of class V students at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru viewed from the  improvement of the result of pre-test in cycle I cycle II. Therefore, the conclusion of the study is there is improvement of process quality and learning result in mathematics through project-based learning of class V at SDN 2 Rampa in Kotabaru.  Keywords: Quality Learning Process And Results, Math Through, Project Based Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) Results of learning mathematics eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru using an approach Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) in the subject of surface area and volume of the cube and the beam. (2) The results of students' mathematics learning in class VIII SMP State 2 Kotabaru without using approaches Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) in the subject of surface area and volume of the cube and the beam. and (3) Effect on the use of the approach Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) on the mathematics learning outcomes Junior High School eighth grade students in the subject of 2 Kotabaru surface area and volume of the cube and the beam. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method, the population of all siswakelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru which amounts to 191 people. Sampling using random samples with the selected sample of 33 people in the class VIII B as the experimental class and 34 class VIII A as the control class. The instrument used is a test in the form of multiple choice questions the validity and reliabilitas.Teknik calculations using test data collection, observation and documentation. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics with calculation of average, standard deviation and percentage calculations. Namely ujinormalitas prerequisite test analysis using Chi Square test and homogeneity test using duavarians homogeneity test. To test the hypothesis used t tests to determine the effect of Realistic approach Mathematic Education (RME) to students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results showed that there are significant Realistic approach Mathematic Education (RME) to the learning outcomes of mathematics siswakelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru, it is known from the results of hypothesis testing, by generating t = 2.15 and 1.67 on a level table = signifikanα = 0 05. So that t (2.15)> t table (1.67) H0 ditolakdan Ha accepted. Keywords: Realistic Approach Mathematic Education (RME) and learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is (1) to know the interest of learning mathematics and student achievement of Class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kotabaru. (2) to know whether or not there is a positive and significant correlation between interest in learning mathematics with student achievement Class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kotabaru.This type of research is quantitative research, which is a lot of research required to use numbers, ranging from data collection, interpretation of the data, and the appearance of the results. In addition to data in the form of numbers, in quantitative research there is also data in the form of qualitative information. The type of approach used according to the patterns or nature of non-experimental research is correlation research.Correlation research aims to find whether there is a relationship and if there is, how closely the relationship and meaning or not that relationship.The result of the research shows that the students' mathematics learning grade XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kotabaru is categorized in moderate stage with frequency of 46 students and the total percentage is 67,6%. Similarly, the achievement of learning mathematics is also categorized in the middle stage with the frequency of 46 students and the number of percentage of 67.6%. The relationship between interest in learning with high learning achievement of mathematics. It can also be seen from the value of t arithmetic> t table (3,358> 1,997) and significance (0.001 <0.05), then Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a significant relationship between learning interest and learning achievement. Because t arithmetic positive value, then it means interest in learning positive and significant correlation to learning achievement. So in this case it can be concluded that interest in learning is positively and significantly related to the achievement of learning in the students of Class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Kotabaru.Keywords: Interest in Mathematics Learning, Learning Achievement

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is (1) Applying mind map strategy to learning mathematics material of tangent of circle, (2) To know the result of student learning through applying mind map strategy on learning mathematics material of tangent of circle, (3) Knowing the effectiveness of the implementation of mind map strategy in learning mathematics in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kotabaru. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kotabaru. The method used in this study was an experimental method using non-equivalent control group design, with two classes of control classes and experimental class experimental class using mind map strategy and control class using conventional strategy. Data analysis using comparative statistical technique with two sample t test. The effectiveness of strategy implementation is analyzed through the improvement of learning outcomes. This increase is an increase from the pretest value to the posttest.The results showed: 1) mind maps applied in the experimental class, making the students trained to create and present their own mind map results. making it easier to remember lessons. This is because students have new techniques in making a summary of the lesson. 2) student learning outcomes after analyzed using comparative statistical technique with t test two samples there was no significant difference. The experimental class has an average grade of 79.15 and the control class has an average rating of 74.20. Percentage increase from pretest to posttest by 2.7% for control class and 7.15% for experimental class. 3) based on some results in the research, the learning in the experimental class is better when compared with the learning in the control class. Nevertheless, however, in the drawing conclusions by looking at the results of analysis with comparative statistics with t test two samples as a reference. The conclusion is that there is no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class because the test value of thitung <ttable is 1.53631 <1.68595. Keywords:  Effectiveness, MindMap, Circles tangents and Learning Outcomes abstrakÂ
