Abstract

HHH is a Home Industry that produces various bags. Maintaining sustainable quality is challenging for a firm’s management as bags are considered a product with a competitive market. Problem identification as a fieldwork result found that product defects have been considered a significant problem in managing quality. This study aims to evaluate factors that cause defects and provide suggestions for improvements. This research begins with a walk-through survey and in-depth interview. It then uses these tools in identifying problems using 5M. In addition, tools to use in identifying cause and effect using the Ishikawa diagram. The next stage is to design a questionnaire and then filled by the owner and the head of quality control. This questionnaire result is used to identify severity, occurrence, and detection. This study found three types of defects: Stitching Defects with an RPN value of 343, Accessories Defects at RPN 336, and Torn Defects with an RPN of 253. In addition, redesigning and expanding the workshop is a necessary highlight recommendation for improvement. The following recommendation scenario is that the company owner supervises workers, raw materials, and machine maintenance to maintain product quality.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorder is a problem for worker. The research purposes in the CV . Lahan Faedah are analysing working position can cause musculoskeletal disorder and give suggestions to the positions that need improvement. The REBA is extension of Rapid Entire Body assessment, which is a method that provides an objective measurement of the risk of MSDs caused by activity but only for the assessment of activities that have little movement and involve the whole body, namely by combining Table A and Table B to Table C. There are 3 positions The work analysed, namely Work Position A, B, C. The results of the three work positions using the REBA method are work position A, the soybean milling process gets a score of 9 with a high risk level, it is proposed that it requires corrective action to work posture or is given a tool so that the operator does not had a hard time getting the soybeans into the grinding machine

Abstract

UKM Tofu ADA is a tofu producer that makes an effort to develop the quality standardization of the tofu production process. Managing tofu quality through maintaining the production process is challenging, resulting in no good tofu. Defective products cause economic loss and the inability to fulfill customer orders. This study aims to evaluate defects in the tofu production process using the Seven Tools and Kaizen approach. The results of this study configure three types of product defects. Namely, mushy, cracked, and crushed. The highest percentage of defects is mushy tofu, with 43.8%. The proposed improvement using kaizen analysis is the Kaizen Five-M Checklist.

Abstract

Small and medium firms are considered as the national safety net in times of crisis. UKM ACA is a medium-sized business and is recognized as a home industry that maintains sustainable quality. The purpose of this study is to identify defects and design better scenarios to improve product quality. This research begins with mapping the production process flow to identify product defects. After the product defect is obtained, the next step is to calculate the risk priority number. The study results showed three defects: the faded color with RPN 84, thread break with RPN 72, and irregular motifs with RPN 60.

Abstract

XYZ, sebuah perusahaan terminal elpiji yang mendukung program konversi minyak tanah ke elpiji, telah mengotomatiskan pekerjaannya dengan menggunakan komputer sebagai salah satu alat utama. Semua operator di departemen Computer Control Room (CCR) menggunakan komputer sebagai alat bantu kerja dan bekerja selama 12 jam sehari, dengan istirahat yang berdampak pada penurunan performansi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat risiko kelelahan otot operator dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk mengurangi risiko cedera otot berdasarkan pendekatan risiko ergonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah integrasi Nordic Body Map (NBM) dan Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA). Responden penelitian adalah operator CCR dan penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua bulan. Hasil evaluasi NBM menunjukkan kondisi postur kerja yang tidak ergonomis dan hasil ROSA menunjukkan skor akhir sebesar 8, yang mengindikasikan risiko ergonomi postur kerja operator CCR yang dikategorikan sebagai berbahaya. Usulan perbaikan yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi risiko yang dirasakan operator adalah dengan meningkatkan fasilitas kursi sesuai standar ergonomi, berdasarkan perhitungan antropometri, yaitu lebar bahu 47,19 cm, tinggi bahu saat duduk 82,48 cm, tinggi siku 72,03 cm, lebar kursi 72,03 cm, tinggi poplitea 49,1 cm, dan poplitea pantat 50 cm. Implikasi teknis dan strategis dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi penting bagi perusahaan untuk memperbaiki lingkungan kerja operator CCR agar lebih ergonomis dan meminimalkan risiko cedera otot pada operator. Usulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan fasilitas kerja yang sesuai dengan standar ergonomi dapat menurunkan risiko cedera otot pada operator, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kinerja kerja operator CCR di PT. XYZ.
