Abstract

Perkembangan material pada saat ini sudah maju, banyak inovasi material maju dan modern telah dikembangkan. Salah satu material maju yaitu material sandwich plate, yang merupakan salah satu alternatif material maju yang digunakan pada konstruksi kapal, karena memiliki banyak kelebihan. Penggunaan material limbah cangkang kerang sebagai salah satu campuran bahan pengisi core sandwich plate merupakan salah satu inovasi untuk meningkatkan nilai material limbah. Karakteristik dinamik material sandwich perlu diketahui untuk menghindari terjadinya resonansi dan getaran yang berlebih pada struktur. Pengujian ekseperimen dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai frekuensi natural material sandwich, dan pemodelan secara numerik dilakukan sebagai verifikasi haril pengujian eksperimen yang telah dilakukan. Diketahui nilai frekuensi natural dari material sandwich plate yaitu 536.4 Hz untuk material sandwich dengan core serbuk kerang sebesar 20%, sedangkan sandwich plate dengan presentase serbuk kerang 30% dari resin memiliki frekuensi natural 545.1 Hz.

Abstract

LPG is one of the gas fuels needed in daily life after the government has converged the use of fuel oil to fuel gas. The distribution of 12 Kg LPG in remote and outermost areas is still often hampered by the delivery process. Constraints in the distribution of 12 Kg LPG caused prices to become unstable. Government program to reach out and equal distribution of goods by making jalur tol laut. One of the sea toll fleets is the pioneer container ship that transports containers from remote and outermost areas. One alternative to transporting 12 Kg LPG is to use dry containers as a means of transportation. The transportation of 12 Kg LPG using containers goes through the design stages and structural analysis to determine the feasibility of the construction. Containers with a length of 20 feet are capable of carrying 126 12 Kg LPG cylinders, with an additional deck construction in the middle of the container with a deck plate thickness of 2 mm. By using the ANSYS APDL software, the analysis of the strength of the additional construction structure in the container is still below the required allowable stress of 103.23 N/mm2 and the actual deflection that occurs is 0.516 mm.

Abstract

Nelayan merupakan salah satu mata pencahariaan masyarakat pesisir di wilayah Indonesia. Pada saat ini banyak nelayan kategori kecil menggunakan kayu sebagai bahan utama konstruksi kapal. Seiring berjalannya waktu serta biaya perawatan yang tinggi untuk kapal dengan bahan kayu, terdapat alternatif dengan penggunaan Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic sebagai bahan utama pembuatan kapal. Pada penelitian disimulasikan perahu berukuran 1 GT dengan berbahan Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic, dimana perhitungan menggunakan metode parametric serta mengacu pada aturan perhitungan gross tonnage Permenhub No.8 Tahun 2013 dan ketebalan laminasi mengacu pada aturan Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Volume V Rules for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics Ships 2021. Dan dihasilkan bahwa kapal ikan berukuran 1 GT memiliki ukuran utama Panjang 6.6 m, Lebar 1.2 m, Tinggi 0.73 m, dan Sarat 0.48 m, serta ketebalan laminasi kulit lambung sebesar 6.05 mm, dan laminasi alas sebesar 6.38 mm.

Abstract

The scarcity of materials due to the impact of the pandemic has caused the price of shipbuilding materials is increased and the production costs to become more expensive. So, optimization steps need to be taken to reduce production costs but still ensure the quality of the coal carrier pontoons. One of the optimization steps that can be done is by changing the frame distance. In this study, two variations of the frame distance, 600 and 650 mm, will be carried out to obtain the optimal value from the initial design of 610 mm. In the numerical calculation, each construction model will be analyzed for the magnitude of the stress using finite element method software in still water conditions, sagging, and hogging. From the calculation results, the profile size of the frame distance of 600 mm is smaller than the frame distance of 650 mm; this happens because the modulus value is smaller. In the stress analysis, the highest allowable stress value was obtained from the sagging condition at a frame distance of 610 mm with a value of 84.87 MPa.
