Abstract

Since Corona Virus Disease (COVID) – 19 is considered a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), governments, and communities, worldwide trying to prevent transmission and reduce the number of deaths caused by the virus. One method of preventing transmission is spraying disinfectants using certain chemical compounds. However, chemicals can also hurt the environment and humans themselves if the doses used are not by existing standards. An alternative disinfectant method that does not use chemicals and is environmentally friendly, namely by using the UV (Ultraviolet)-decontamination method, UV-C rays. This research aims to find out the results of UV irradiation from UV-C lamps in theory and measurement. Then, the optimal placement of a fixed - UV lamp system to obtain an effective disinfectant dose and the length of time it takes to reach the target dose prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The methods include theoretical calculations and data measurements to see the results of UV radiation irradiation on UV-C lamps and look for correlations between the two to find the conversion value. Moreover, with the help of DIALux Evo 9.2 software to find out the radiation value from the conversion equation, see the optimum UV dose spread, and reach the desired dose target time. The result is that there are differences in the results of UV irradiation on UV-C lamps with the efficiency of lamps and ballasts as well as on the measurement method that affects UV-C radiation, but according to field conditions and does not affect the actual application. The number of lamp placements and the dimensions of the room affects the dose spread. Moreover, the minimum time to achieve the target dose in the case study is 29 minutes using six placements of UV-C lamps with two lamps each at the six placement points.

Abstract

A green building is a building wherein planning, construction, operation until the maintenance reduces the negative impacts, such as efficient use of energy, water, and other resources, maintaining the excellent quality of the building, and considering the quality of life of occupants. Good environmental damage in the building will affect the health, comfort and, safety of the occupants' lives. Therefore, it takes green buildings concept for buildings where people do activities in a home, an office, a school, a hospital, or a community center. To implement the green building concept, the building needs a monitoring system to monitor the quality of its environment. This research aim is to design sensor systems to monitor the building environment. The parameters monitored are temperature, humidity, illuminance, and noise intensity. The sensor system needs to the integrated with microcontroller and Blynk applications. The sensor system obtains the environment parameter. The accuracy rating for the temperature sensor is 94.41%, the humidity sensor is 93.53%, the light sensor is 91.26%, and the sound sensor is 97.13%. Blynk's warning system can make it easier for users to monitor the environment of a building.

Abstract

Nowadays, fulfilling the needs of human life requires costs. If the daily needs are under control, then the expense spent to meet the daily needs will also be controlled. In everyday electricity usage, the lights may turn on when the user does not need them. This incident resulted in a waste of electricity and costs. This research designs a Light Emitting Diode (LED) light control system using a microcontroller and smartphone application. The features available in the lamp control application consist of Off and On, Timer, Schedule, Electrical Energy Monitoring, and Automation based on Electricity Billing Budgeting. The tools and software used in the design of the lamp control are: Node MCU ESP8266 version 2, SRD-05VDC-SL-C relay module, ACS712 current sensor, Arduino IDE, MIT App Inventor, and ThingSpeak. The time delay from pressing the ON/OFF button on the smartphone until the light turns on is about 1-6 seconds. The error value for calculating the lamp power with the ACS712 current sensor against the lamp power from the specifications on the light box is 1.3%.

Abstract

The development of information technology brings every company to take advantage of the technology they have. The utilization of information technology must be supported by good information technology governance. PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is an Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) that is engaged in financial services. PT Permodalan Nasional Madani aims to assist the development of micro, small, medium, and cooperative enterprises. PT Permodalan Nasional Madani uses the PNM Digi application system in running the company. With the existing problems, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani needs to evaluate its IT governance by conducting an information technology audit. In conducting the audit, a framework is needed, namely COBIT 5 to measure the level of capability possessed by the company. This audit is carried out using the information technology audit stages that focus on 4 to 5 COBIT 5 processes that are priority improvements. The results of this audit will be in the form of an audit report containing findings, measurement results of capabilities, impacts if not corrected, level of gaps, and recommendations for improvement to recommendations for increasing levels for PT Permodalan Nasional Madani.

Abstract

This paper aims to design a receiving antenna for harvesting energy using the wireless energy transfer method based on the ultra-high frequency (UHF) band. The study was conducted by comparing four types of the receiving antenna design. A mathematical and experimental analysis has been done to evaluate the performance of the designed antennas. A Yagi-Uda antenna is utilized as the transmitter. The results show that the zig-zag type antenna has the best performance. It can receive electromagnetic energy from a transmitter with maximum efficiency is 0.1% for the receiving antenna volume of 0.34 cm3. The proposed method can meet the energy necessity of an implant device with a charging time of approximately 21.61 hours for the 700 mAh rechargeable battery capacity. As our preliminary conclusion, based on our results, this proposed method can be used as a reference for the practice in the WET field and the medical and restricted areas in the electromagnetic energy harvesting case.

Abstract

Community engagement through training in logo and packaging design for culinary MSMEs in Legok Village is an initiative aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in rural areas. Legok Village, renowned for its traditional culinary richness, is the focal point of this research. This study presents a community-based approach employed to strengthen the visual identity of culinary MSME products through design trainingusing Adobe Ilustrator. The methodology includes phases of identifying the needs of MSMEs, conducting logo and packaging design training, and evaluating the impact of this training. The research findings indicate that logo and packaging design training has a significantly positive impact on the development of culinary MSME products, enhancing their visual appeal, and increasing brand awareness in both local and regional markets. The results have significant implications for the development of culinary MSMEs in similar villages. The improved quality of logo and packaging design benefits MSME businesses and can increase household income, stimulate local economic growth, and enhance the quality of life in rural communities. Thus, community engagement through logo and packaging design training for culinary MSMEs emerges as a crucial instrument in building economic sustainability in rural villages.
