Abstract

ABSTRACTEducation is a means of gaining knowledge to improve the quality of human resources in global competition. Therefore, improving the quality of education is needed through schools as formal institutions. As a formal institution, the school can provide provisions for students to achieve success in the learning process which is reflected in academic achievement, one of them is in biology learning. This study aimed to determine the correlation between intrapersonal intelligence (X) with student academic achievement in biology (Y). Research conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Bekasi Utara in April 2019. The method used is correlational. Data were analyzed with bivariate correlation coefficient significance test. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation (r= 0,260) between Xwith Y through linear regression equation Ŷ = 71,407 + 0,084X. Keywords: biology learning, intrapersonal intelligence, student academic achievement.

Abstract

21st-century learning has brought out innovations in the field of education, such as learning that is no longer only done in the classroom or virtual classes with digital learning media that no longer use text alone but include audio, video, and the internet in learning. However, the development of learning media that links technology has not been optimal. Educators still have not linked videos or representative images to Biology learning, especially plant tissue and animal tissue material, so it is found that students have not mastered these materials well. This study aims to produce e-learning media that can be supported through one type of LMS (Learning Management System) application, namely Schoology, which is valid and effective on plant and animal tissue material. This research was conducted using the ADDIE model, starting from the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The products developed by experts validated by 74% are in good categories, as well as the feasibility test of teachers and students who get a score of 89.60% with a very good category. The development product proved to be effective in high school learning with an increase in learning outcomes using the N-Gain test of 0.54 on plant tissue material and 0.52 on animal tissue material with moderate criteria.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah dalam pendidikan di Indonesia yaitu masih adanya miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh peserta didik sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Miskonsepsi pada materi Sistem Saraf secara keseluruhan yaitu sebesar 25.47%. Pada sub materi mekanisme impuls saraf mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 4.37% dengan persentase jumlah peserta didik yang tidak paham paling tinggi dibanding sub materi lain yaitu sebesar 8.26%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Biologi berupa film pendek pada materi Sistem Saraf, khususnya materi mekanisme impuls saraf. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan media ini adalah metode Research and Development model pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Validasi dilakukan oleh 2 ahli yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Kolmogorov Smirnov. Uji efektivitas menggunakan uji t. Hasil menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran berkategori baik dan media efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Arthropoda Phyllum is part of the Biology subject that requires an understanding of concepts. One of models for these subject is a reciprocal teaching integrated mind mapping model. This model make the students better to understand and easier to remember it for the relationship between various concepts, and their visualization and image colours. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of reciprocal teaching integrated mind mapping model application towards to student’s understanding concept on Arthropoda Phyllum. The research was conducted in SMA 105 Jakarta from February until March 2016. The research method was used a quasi-experimental with research design posttest-only control group design. Sample handling technical was used simple random sampling method. The instrument of these method was comperehension concept posttest in the form of multiple choice objective test accompanied by CRI index (Certainty of Response Index) or the scale of confidence of respondents in answering questions. Based on data analysis result, showed that data as normally distributed and homogeny. The conclusions of this research show there is effect of application reciprocal teaching integrated mind mapping model toward student’s comperehension concept on Phyllum Arthropoda.

Abstract

Analytical thinking skills needed for students in solving problems encountered when learning topic are quite difficult and requires analysis of the issue. Learn to use Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) can help optimize student’s analytical thinking skills. Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) involving active students to seek out and study topic that will be taught. Students learn to solve their own problems in groups and cooperate with each other. Nervous system topic requires analysis of the relationship between the constituent organ tissue structure and associate them with the mechanisms and function disorders that occur in the nervous system topic. This study aimed to determine about effect of Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) on student’s analytical thinking in nervous system topic. The research was conducted in SMAN 33 Jakarta on March 2016. The reseach method used was a quasi experiment with Post Test Only Control Group Design. Subjects in this research were XI IPA 3 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class. A total sample of 64 student was selected by simple random sampling technique. The instrumen used analytical thinking test was essay. Based the calculation, the average value of the test thinking analysis of the experimental class is 84 and the average value of the test thinking analysis of the control class is 82. Based on calculation, prerequisite test analysis data obtained was not normally distributes but homogeneous. The statistical hypothesis with Mann-Whitney test result on accepted null hypothesis at α 0,05. It showed that there was no about effect of Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) on student’s analytical thinking in nervous system topic.

Abstract

Abstract Family economic empowerment is one of the steps taken by the government to improve family welfare. The problem faced by almost all urban communities during the pandemic is meeting daily needs, especially those that can increase immunity and decrease income. Urban areas are synonymous with narrow yards. The use of yard land to overcome daily needs and increase the economy is a problem of community service activities carried out in Malaka Jaya Village. The KKN-PM (Kuliah Kerja Nyata terintegrasi Pengabdian Masyarakat) conducted by lecturers and students is implemented to overcome these problems. The implementation of the activity begins with providing briefing to students, then students carry out counseling activities, training and assistance in the use of yard land, processing cultivation products and online marketing. Abstrak Pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga merupakan salah satu langkah yang dilakukan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Permasalahan yang dihadapi hampir seluruh masyarkat perkotaan dimasa pandemi adalah pemutuhan kebutuhan harian terutama yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas dan menurunnya pendapatan. Wilayah perkotaan identik dengan lahan pekarangan yang sempit. Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan untuk mengatasi kebutuhan harian dan peningkatan ekonomi merupakan permasalahan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Malaka Jaya. Program KKN-PM (Kuliah Kerja Nyata terintegrasi Pengabdian Masyarakat) yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa UNJ dilaksanaan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan memberikan pembekalan kepada mahasiswa, kemudian mahasiswa melaksanakan kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan, pengolahan hasil budidaya dan pemasaran online.
