Abstract

21st-century learning has brought out innovations in the field of education, such as learning that is no longer only done in the classroom or virtual classes with digital learning media that no longer use text alone but include audio, video, and the internet in learning. However, the development of learning media that links technology has not been optimal. Educators still have not linked videos or representative images to Biology learning, especially plant tissue and animal tissue material, so it is found that students have not mastered these materials well. This study aims to produce e-learning media that can be supported through one type of LMS (Learning Management System) application, namely Schoology, which is valid and effective on plant and animal tissue material. This research was conducted using the ADDIE model, starting from the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The products developed by experts validated by 74% are in good categories, as well as the feasibility test of teachers and students who get a score of 89.60% with a very good category. The development product proved to be effective in high school learning with an increase in learning outcomes using the N-Gain test of 0.54 on plant tissue material and 0.52 on animal tissue material with moderate criteria.

Abstract

Mangrove forest is a form of a transitional ecosystem from land and sea so it has many roles and functions for the ecosystem, one of which is maintaining the biological stability of the waters. This study aims to determine the condition of the mangrove forest and its effect on the diversity of animal species found on Rambut Island. The method used in this study is a meta-analysis by combining some previous data through a literature study on the condition of mangrove forests and animal diversity on Rambut Island. The study results show that on Rambut Island 18 species of mangrove plants have been identified and in the last 10 years, there has been a decrease in the number of mangrove species to 6 species in 2021. The mangrove forest is dominated by Rhizophora mucronata species. Animal species found in mangrove forests are dominated by groups of water birds, such as the great egret (Egretta alba). The decrease in the number of mangrove plant species resulted in a decrease in the abundance and diversity of animal species on Rambut Island. This is because these animals lose mangrove vegetation which provides a place to find food and protection for the animals that live in them. Therefore, the mangrove forest is an area that must be preserved so that it can benefit the animals that live in it.

Abstract

Abstract The learning process in schools is the best public policy tool as an effort to increase students' knowledge and skills. This Community Service (PkM) aims to improve the soft-skill abilities of junior high school students in Bekasi Regency, West Java, so that students recognize entrepreneurship as early as possible and can also increase student interest in entrepreneurship, improve skills and entrepreneurial spirit and integrate entrepreneurship education into learning materials, so that entrepreneurship education is maximally integrated and has an effective influence on students. This activity was carried out at the Ulil Albab Integrated Islamic School Foundation. This activity is carried out in the form of training and introduction to entrepreneurship (entrepreneurs), then followed by training on making various flavors of soyghurt for students. The PkM method is carried out through lectures, discussions, questions and answers and direct practice on the material provided. This activity begins with the implementation of a pretest and at the end of the training a posttest is carried out as an indicator of the success of the activity. Furthermore, given exposure to entrepreneurship material, biotechnology and superior local soybeans irradiated by Gamasugen as well as counseling on the manufacture of various flavors of soyghurt with simple techniques. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, there was an increase in students' understanding and knowledge, the average value of the pretest was 47.03 to 80.71 at the posttest. The results of this test showed an increase of 71.60%. Based on the results of this program, it shows that there is an increase in students' entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in making various flavored soyghurts from Gamasugen's local soybeans.

Abstract

Biodiversity in the environment around communities and schools is an important resource asset for human life as well as in school learning activities. One of the biodiversity that exists in the environment around the human area, namely animals belonging to the category of amphibians and reptiles (herpetofauna groups). The population of herpetofauna animals in Indonesia tends to decline continuously, due to various factors such as habitat loss and other pressures or disturbances. The existence of herpetofauna in agricultural, plantation and residential areas actually has a very strategic role in the balance of nature. Conservation of herpetofauna animals must be introduced to the community, especially the next generation around the area. One of the community groups (the younger generation) that has great potential in herpetofauna conservation activities, namely elementary school students (SD). Conservation education for the next generation (SD students) can be well implemented through good learning methods and media by their teachers. The use of herpetofauna media in teaching science, environment or local content is still minimal. Knowledge of hepetofauna conservation for teachers is still relatively low. The utilization and availability of science or environmental learning media at the elementary school level is still relatively lacking.
