Abstract

The company value is the expectation of stakeholders. If it has good value, the stakeholders will have good welfare. There are two factors that affect the company value, namely external and internal factors. This study indicates the company value as dependent variable which is measured using price book value. This measurement compares stock price with the book value. The independent variables are financial performance and intellectual capital. Financial performance is measured using the current ratio, dept to equity ratio, and return on equity ratio. Whereas, intellectual capital uses the measurement of value-added intellectual coefficient (VAIC). The purpose of the study is to determine and examine the effect of financial performance and intellectual capital on the company value in basic and chemical industries listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2017 to 2019. There are twenty-seven basic and chemical industries that have been selected using a census method. The data using descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, and hypothesis. The result of the study indicates financial performance and intellectual capital simultaneously affect the company value. However, financial performance which is measured using CR and ROE, shows significant negative effect on the company value. Furthermore, financial performance which is measured using ROE, has significant positive effect on the company value. The result also indicates that intellectual capital has negative effect on the company value.

Abstract

The more intense the level of business competition today, resulting in the company faced with the challenge to be able to maintain the survival of his company. therefore companies must be able to compete and one tool that can be used by the company is by providing compensation, both in the form of financial compensation and non-financial compensation. if the compensation program is perceived to be fair and competitive by employees, it will be easier to retain employees and encourage employees to improve their performance so that their performance can improve and companies are able to produce products at competitive prices. companies not only excel in business competition alone, but also able to maintain the survival of the company, even able to increase profits and expand its business.

Abstract

Every company wants its business to continue to growth, develop and improve, along with changing times and technological developments. To be able to continue to growth and develop in the midst of increasingly rapid changes in the external. Environment, a company must focus on changing its internal factors, namely finding, attracting and retaining the best people in the company. Only the best people, in sufficient numbers, in the right position and with optimal utilization, can encourage the company to continue to growth. To get the best people, a company uses a talent management system that functions to find out the performance of the best people. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an influence of talent management on the performance of employees of PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Margomulyo Unit. This research is a quantitative research using the positivism paradigm based on the existing theory, namely the theory regarding the influence of talent management on employee performance. The results of this study are that there is an influence between talent management and the performance of employees of PT. Japfa Comfees Indonesia Tbk. The Margomulyo unit of t-count value of 6.052 is greater than t-table of 1.982, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This study is conducted to determine (1) the effect of Downward Communication on job satisfaction of the main branch post office Surabaya 60000, (2) the effect of compensation on job satisfaction of the employees of the Surabaya main branch post office 60000, (3) the effect of Downward Communication and Compensation on job satisfaction employees of the main branch post office Surabaya 60000. The sample uses 52 employees. This research includes causal associative research using a quantitative approach, namely validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression, t statistic test, F statistic test, and coefficient of determination (R2).  It is proven through the F test, F count 3,18 > F table 704,470 and a significant value of 0,000 < 0,05 it can be concluded that Downward Communication (X1) and Compensation (X2) have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction (Y) simultaneously and the coefficient of determination 3,4%.

Abstract

The finishing community is usually identically considered as a layer of society with a low level of welfare. This can be seen from the condition of Indonesian fisherman who are still lacking in meeting the needs of their family life. The work and income of fisherman are highly dependent on the weather and seasons, so that the impact on income is uncertain. In the condition that the husband’s income as a fisherman is relatively low and uncertain, the one who can help maintain the family’s livelihood is the fisherman’s wife. This study aims to determine the relationship between the characteristics of fisherman’s wives with the family income of fisherman in Kenjeran Surabaya. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a research sample of 20 respondents. Testing the data used in this study is the validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, F test, and the coefficient of determination using SPSS 25.0 for windows. The result of this study indicate that the characteristics of fisherman’s wives do not have a significant relationship with fisherman’s family income with the value of Fcount (1,317) < Ftable (4,38), and the value of sig. 0,289 > 0,05 then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. The results of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained an effect of 15,8%, while 84,2% of fisherman’s family incomes were influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Corporate governance can be interpreted as a corporate control mechanism where the mechanism focuses on financial management managed by financial managers in order to gain profitability in order to attract investors. This study aims to determine the effect of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on earnings management in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2018 – 2020, simultaneously. The data analysis method in this study used a simple linear regression model. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the variable of Good Corporate Governance has a significant effect on earnings management simultaneously.

Abstract

Thei samplingi techniquei was carriedi out using simplei randomi sampling technique, andi datai analysisi usingi pathi analysis, partiali test, simultaneousi test, iand coefficienti of determinationi test withi the helpi of SPSS (Statisticali Programi for iSocial Science) versioni 25.0 iprogram. Abstract

The emergence of increasingly sophisticated digital tools has begun to shift almost all users of conventional marketing tools. The world of business and business or other life will not run as it should without communication. Construction companies are one of the industries that are experiencing the impact of the sophistication of digital tools. Without exception the company CV. Mitra Tangguh as one of the contractor companies in Surabaya. CV. Mitra Tangguh Rekacipta uses digital marketing as a form of marketing communication to boost sales of services from the company. The digital marketing used is Instagram, Whatsapp. website and e-mail. In this case digital marketing carried out by CV. Mitra Tangguh Rekacipta has affected the company's turnover. The research technique used is a qualitative case study method with the aim of obtaining a complete and in-depth description. Data collection techniques researchers conducted observations and interviews with objects and informants. The results obtained are increased turnover obtained from marketing communications CV. Mitra Tangguh Rekacipta has not been effective due to a lack of companies taking advantage of digital marketing opportunities.

Abstract

The purpose of ths study was analyze the influence of managerial proportion, return on assets, and leverage on discretionary earnings management in IPOs companies which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2018 until 2020. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of managerial ownership, return on assets, and leverage on discretionary earnings management. IPOs are now widely adopted by the Company as a solution to obtain additional capital and also as a separate value that can improve the Company's image to investors. Achieving good profits is closely related to the Company's success in attracting more investors. Discretionary earning management activity as a solution for managers who have ownership proportions to manage the level of profit achievement by paying attention to the level of return on assets & leverage in the initial period when listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange so that it can attract more investors for the success of the Company in managing its operations. The amount of managerial ownership in this study is measured by Managerial Proportion (MNJ), Return on Assets is measured by ROA, and Leverage is measured by Debt Equity Ratio (DER). This type of research is associative with a quantitative approach. The population used in this study were companies that conducted IPOs on the IDX in the period 2018 - 2020. The determination of the sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria, so as many as 13 companies were obtained. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that MNJ, ROA, and DER simultaneously or together have an effect on discretionary earnings management
