Abstract

Covid-19 has impacted profoundly the business environment. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) becomes not only the major platform but also sustains the existence and running most business. Retail business becomes more dependent on technology. Small Business Enterprises (SME) have to jump and become savvy in ICT. The SME supply chain and marketing environment are moving toward ICT based platforms. On the other side the penetration of social media tool especially smartphone is widely spread. It can be safely assumed that every job holder whether entrepreneur, employee, or professionals or craftspeople is familiar with smartphones. The gap that must be bridged is using smartphone for business purposes. One of the business requirements that are not easy to replace is face to face communications. As Internet is ubiquitous and smartphones can easily access the Internet, there are numerous application that can resides both in computers and smartphones. The application that is closely similar to face to face meeting is known as Video Conference call. With this application it is possible to perform business briefing any time and anywhere provided there is Internet access. As business communication is not limited to technically savvy parties, a supportive system must be selected and introduced to them. We select Zoom as the application and develop a simple training syllabus. The syllabus has been implemented to a retail chain.

Abstract

Many electronic devices have a network connection facility. Projectors today have network facilities to bolster its customer satisfaction in everyday use. By using a device that can be controlled, the expected availability and reliability of the presentation system (computer and projector) can be maintained to keep itscondition ready to use for presentation. Nevertheless, there is still a projector device that has no network facilities so that the necessary additional equipment with expensive price. Besides, control equipment in large quantities has problems in timing and the number of technicians in performing controls. This study began with study of literature, from searching for the projectors that has LAN and software to control and finding a number of computer control softwares where the focus is easy to use and affordable. Result of this research is creating asystem which contains suggestions of procurement of computer hardware, hardware and software projectors each of which can be controlled centrally from a distance.

Abstract

Computer Networks is an important course as a basis in computer science. This is because at this time all activities are associated with the use of network system or communication system. In the course of learning in Computer Networks, students are often difficult to understand network concepts, especially with many layman terms for students. The term IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and Router are the terms widely used in network. To better understand the use of the IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and Router, it should be given concrete examples of the application day-to-day. Such as setting the IP, Subnet, Gateway, and Router on a PC connected to the network, it is hoped that students can quickly understand. This prototype used some Virtual Machines considered to represent the need for the creation of multiple virtual machines in one computer. The resulting prototype is expected to be useful in learning the Networking matter in Computer Networks subject. Research successfully created 2 Virtual Machines in 1 computer, with the network in both Virtual Machines isolated and not connected to the Internet.
