Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengintegrasian pendidikan multikultural yang terdapat dalam buku teks IPA Sekolah Dasar (SD) kelas V. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data berupa buku teks IPA yang digunakan di SD wilayah Kecamatan Sikur. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan analisis dokumen serta dianalisis menggunakan analisis interaktif dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan/verifikasi. Nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural dari empat Buku Teks IPA untuk SD yang digunakan di Kabupaten Lombok Timur telah terintegrasi akan tapi pengintegrasiannya masih monoton pada budaya mayoritas. Terdapat enam subdimensi dari sembilan subdimensi yang ada. Subdimensi yang dimaksud, yakni: subdimensi budaya dalam dimensi integrasi materi; subdimensi pemahaman dalam dimensi merekonstruksi pengetahuan; subdimensi individu dalam dan kelompok dalam dimensi penyesuaian metode pembelajaran; subdimensi agama dalam dimensi pengurangan prasangka; subdimensi budaya sekolah dalam dimensi penguatan budaya sekolah dan struktur sosial. Sementara subdimensi individu, agama, suku/ras/etnis, demokrasi, dan struktur sosial tidak terintegrasi dalam buku ini. Sementara pada buku empat ditemukan subdimensi budaya, pemahaman, kelompok, agama, dan budaya sekolah. Pola pengintegrasian pendidikan multikultural dalam keempat buku tersebut terdiri dari integrasi dalam bentuk wacana, komik, cerita, dan latihan dalam tiap tema pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Multikultural; Buku Teks; IPA Integration of Multicultural Education in Natural Science Textbooks for Grade V Elementary School Students in East LombokABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the integration of multicultural education in the fifth-grade elementary school science textbooks. The research approach used qualitative research. The data source was in the form of science textbooks used in elementary schools in the Sikur District. Data were collected by observation and document analysis and analyzed using interactive analysis with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding/verification. The values of multicultural education from the four science textbooks for elementary schools used in East Lombok Regency had been integrated but the integration is still monotonous in the majority culture. There were six sub-dimensions of the nine existing sub-dimensions. The sub-dimensions in question were the cultural sub-dimension in the material integration dimension; sub-dimension of understanding in the dimension of reconstructing knowledge; individual and group sub-dimensions in the dimension of learning method adjustment; sub-dimension of religion in the dimension of reducing prejudice; sub-dimension of school culture in the dimensions of strengthening school culture and social structure. Meanwhile, individual sub-dimensions, religion, ethnicity/race/ethnicity, democracy, and social structure are not integrated into this book. Meanwhile, in book four, the sub-dimensions of culture, understanding, group, religion, and school culture are found. The pattern of integrating multicultural education in the four books consists of integration in the form of discourse, comics, stories, and exercises in each learning theme.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan (i) pengetahuan mengenai penelitian tindakan kelas dan (ii) pelatihan penyusunan proposal sebagai rencana perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran. Untuk mencapai tujuan itu, metode yang digunakan ialah pelatihan dan lokakarya. Di samping itu, metode pendidikan orang dewasa (andragogi) diterapkan dengan memanfaatkan model pendekatan proses. Metode ini dipilih agar peserta bisa mengalami setiap langkah proses penyusunan proposal penelitian tindakan kelas sesuai permasalahan pembelajaran yang dihadapinya dalam proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sesuai dengan jadwal yang direncanakan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 23 guru sekolah dasar. Peserta berhasil mewujudkan 5 draf proposal penelitian tindakan kelas yang disusun secara kelompok berdasarkan kebutuhan dan permasalahan yang mereka hadapi di sekolah. Semua proposal dapat diseminarkan dan diperbaiki berdasarkan saran, baik dari tim pengabdian masyarakat maupun dari sesama peserta. Sebagian besar peserta merasa puas terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. Mereka merasa telah mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang mereka butuhkan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes in learning using Contextual Teaching and Learning assisted by image media. Data collection methods were carried out using quantitative and quantitative methods. Data display techniques are carried out using observation and documentation techniques. Assessment instruments include written tests, observation sheets, and videos of learning activities. The conclusion of this research is the results of data collection on completion, every week the first and second increases, the first 62.5, and the second 82.08. When KKM measures the academic achievement of students who take daily tests, the progress of elementary school graduates is an average of 58.33 students, and only three students improve on daily tests, for example six students who take an average of 62.5 students increase by 50%. and second. by 50%. cycle average 82.08, an increase of 50% across twelve graduates. Overall student achievement was observed in Stage One (50%) and increased to 100% in stage B. Previous results showed that SOL activities improved learning and academic presentation grade 4 students SDN 7 Sambelia Lombok Timur. The conclusion from the results of this research is that through the CTL approach teacher abilities, student activities and student learning achievement increase.

Abstract

This training program aims to enhance teachers' understanding and skills in implementing storytelling methods in learning, thereby improving students' comprehension of moral values. The methods employed in this program include observation, interviews with teachers, and the distribution of questionnaires to students to evaluate the effectiveness of storytelling implementation. This activity was conducted at SD-SMP Satap Sambelia, East Lombok Regency. The evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in teachers' understanding and storytelling skills, along with a positive impact on students' learning interest, comprehension of moral values, and changes in attitudes and behavior. Furthermore, storytelling has been proven to enhance students' social interactions and communication skills in the classroom. Therefore, storytelling can be adopted as a primary method for character education in elementary schools, supported by ongoing teacher training and the development of more innovative learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of technology on student and teacher responses. This type of research is non-experimental quantitative research with descriptive quantitative research methods. The sample for this research was 30 teachers in 10 elementary schools in Percut Sei Tuan District using non probability sampling techniques with saturated samples. Data collection used several instruments, namely questionnaires and observation sheets on the use of technology and teacher response questionnaires. Data analysis uses a simple linear regression test and t-test to see how much influence the independent variable has on the dependent variable. The results of the research show that the results of the simple linear regression test and the significance test showed that the contribution contributed by variable X to variable Y was Y = 22.22 +0. 604X with a value of r = 0.542. The results of the analysis using the significant test tcount (3.127) > ttable (2.342), then Ho is rejected, thus meaning that there is a significant influence between the use of social studies teaching aids on teacher performance

Abstract

This study aims to produce valid and effective learning media. This type of research is research and development (R & D) using the Borg and Gall model modified by Sukmadinata covering three stages, namely: (1) preliminary study; (2) preparation of product drafts; and (3) development. The learning media developed is the "Snakes and Ladders" Educational Gambe Media. The subjects in this study were 25 children in group B TK PKK Sikur Barat 01. Class B1 as the control class and B2 as the experimental class. Data was taken using expert validation sheets and character development observation sheets. Data were analyzed by descriptive, normality test, homogeneity test and effectiveness test by t-test. The results of the validator's assessment of the conservation-based learning model is an average of 3.25 including the good category. Field trials were declared effective with an average score of the development of children's environmental conservation values in the experimental class (38.8) better than the control class (22.0). Therefore it can be concluded that the educational game learning media "snakes and ladders" is valid and effective for developing students' awareness of environmental conservation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe or illustrate the implementation of realistic mathematics learning as a solution to improve the learning outcomes of class II students at SD Negeri 30 Manganti. The PMR approach that links mathematical concepts with real contexts is expected to increase student confidence, motivation in learning, activeness and understanding through the use of concrete media. The methods used in this study include discussions to develop students' critical thinking skills and student completeness which is calculated using the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) guidelines by calculating the number of students who have completed and the percentage of classical completeness. This study shows an increase in the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SD Negeri 30 Manganti on measurement material after the implementation of realistic mathematics learning. at the end of cycle I, the average student score reached 81.75 with 5 students completing and 3 students not completing while at the end of cycle II the average score increased to 91.87 with 7 students completing and only 1 student not completing. These results identify that realistic mathematics learning is effective in improving student understanding so that the target of learning completeness can be achieved in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the early reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 2 Gunungkendeng through the use of word card media in Indonesian language instruction. The background of this research lies in the students' low early reading abilities, which are attributed to conventional teaching methods and the lack of engaging instructional media. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with a quantitative method, conducted over two cycles. The subjects consisted of 20 first-grade students, comprising 14 boys and 6 girls. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation, with data analysis using the percentage of learning mastery. The results showed that the use of word card media significantly enhanced students' early reading skills. In the pre-cycle phase, only 25% of students achieved learning mastery. After the intervention in the first cycle, this percentage increased to 70%, and further improved to 85% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that word card media is effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in early reading for first-grade students. In conclusion, the use of word card media in Indonesian language learning can gradually and significantly improve students’ early reading skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of students in grade II of SD Negeri 27 Palaluar in reading comprehension through the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. The basis of this study is based on the low achievement of students in learning reading comprehension material, especially in interpreting fable stories. This study applies the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in two stages. The method of collecting information includes observation, documentation, and written tests. The data obtained were analyzed using a qualitative approach to describe the learning process and the approach to assessing the improvement of student learning outcomes. The results of the study showed significant progress in students' reading comprehension skills. In cycle I, the percentage of students who completed learning reached 67% with an average score of 77. After reflecting and improving learning, in cycle II, the percentage of completion increased to 90% with an average score reaching 82. From these results, it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share learning model is effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills actively and cooperatively.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the vocabulary reading skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 21 SKPG SP2 Emparu through the use of audiovisual media. The main problem addressed is the students’ low reading skills, characterized by poor word pronunciation, low learning focus, and weak classroom communication ethics. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of several stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection instruments included student worksheets, multiple-choice evaluation questions, and observation sheets of student activities. The results of the study showed a significant improvement from the first to the second cycle. In the first cycle, the student learning mastery rate reached only 45%, with an average score of 64.25. After improving the learning process by incorporating small group discussions and active guidance during video viewing, the mastery rate increased to 90% with an average score of 83 in the second cycle. These results demonstrate that audiovisual media is effective in enhancing students' vocabulary comprehension and active participation in Indonesian language learning. This study recommends the use of audiovisual media as an adaptive and contextual learning strategy in primary school settings, especially in remote areas.
