Abstract

The research objective is to design a web-based e-learning game that could be used to be a learning facility of C language programming and as an online game so it could be enjoyed by everybody easily in internet. Flex usage in this game online is to implement RIA (Rich Internet Application) concept in the game so e-learning process is hoped to be more interesting and interactive. E-learning game is also designed in MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) concept. The research method used is analysis and design method. Analysis method is done through literature study, user analysis, and similar game analysis. Meanwhile, design method is about monitor display, gameplay and system design. The conclution of this research is that this game provides an interesting learning media of C language program accordingly to subject material at class and also easier to use through website.

Abstract

Multimedia can be used as a supportive element in education. The most significant implementation of multimedia is shown in computer assisted instruction (CAI). It is a self-instructional program which provides an accessible, interactive, and flexible way of presenting curriculum material. Therefore, this research objective is to design and develop a CAI for physics as a supportive learning method at school. Interactive Multimedia System Design & Development Cycle is used as the research method. It explains about a development and design cycle, especially for interactive multimedia system. Any information and data for analyzing user's need are obtained through questionnaire and interview. From the research, it is shown that most of the students face difficulties in learning physics as they imagine the logic or process that happens. Being implemented, most students as well as teachers are interested in this application that makes it easier for them to understand the physics process.

Abstract

Along with the growth of social media, a variety of potential threats to users is also increasing. These kinds of threats often occur because the users accidentally or unknowingly disclose their information or identity on social media. Threats resulted from the disclosure of information are needed to be known so that the users can understand the risks that arise and take precautions. This research was aimed to summarize the potential threats arising from the information disclosure in social media. The research method used was a systematic literature review to explore and summarize the literatures that discuss the specific topic. The research results show that the potential threats are mostly social threats and identity theft.

Abstract

Video game is one of many media designed to provide entertainment to its targeted users. In response to that, narrative that presents story to engage the users in many ways, such as through interactive story that responds to the actions taken by the players during the gameplay. To understand how the narrative is brought in the games, there is analytical framework specifically presented to break down the elements included in the games like storyworld, character, emotion, narrative interface and micro-narrative. In this research, the analytical framework is used to analyze the interactive horror story games developed by Supermassive Games, taking deeper look on the elements brought by each game. There are various implementations on each of the games, from the storyworld resembling numerous popular horror thriller media, presence of multiple playable characters, emergence of emotions like Fear and Anxiety among others, and the existence of micro-narratives to supplement the main story.
