Abstract

Schizophrenia is a condition in which a person experiences a significant change in behavior, someone who experiences this disorder becomes self-forgetful, behaves abnormally, injures himself, shuts himself in, does not want to socialize, lacks self-confidence and often enters the subconscious in a full fantasy world. delusions and hallucinations. This case study research uses a descriptive research design aimed at implementing hallucination management interventions on the level of agitation in patients with auditory hallucinations The sample in this study were schizophrenic patients who experienced cooperative auditory hallucinations. The results and conclusions of this study were that there was an effect of giving speech therapy. with others to levels of agitation, restlessness and insomnia. In the nine days of intervention, for the level of agitation agitation showed a scale of 4 categories of mild and for the level of agitation insomnia showed a scale of 3 categories of moderate. Suggestions are expected that further researchers can use it as a guide in implementing hallucination management in schizophrenia patients.

Abstract

Low self-esteem is a negative self-evaluations that associated with feelings of being weak, helpless, hopeless, frightened, vulnerable, fragile, incomplete, worthless, and inadequate. The research objective was to determine the factors that associated with low self-esteem incidence of mental patients in mental hospital Southeast Sulawesi province in 2015. This type of research is analytic using cross sectional. The study population was all mental patients with low self-esteem in RSJ southeast Sulawesi province in 2015 the number of 171 people. A sample of 63 people, the sampling technique is purposive sampling, statistical test used was chi square test and phi. The results showed that the variables associated with the incidence of low self-esteem is a history of persecution physical, the loss of a nearby, family rejection, and repeated failure. Suggested for mental hospital institution providing education on the importance of the client’s family to provide supports and praise sentences clients who have low self-esteem to restore confidence lost clients.
