Abstract

The aim of the study is to depict the effectiveness of online learning on the students’ ability to write TPACK based teaching instruments during the pandemic. The subjects of the research were 15 students of pre-service student-teacher candidates of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Science, Pakuan University, the academic year 2020-2021. The approach of the study is quantitative with questionnaires, and documents as the instruments. The result of the study shows that online learning has not reached the maximum effect on the students’ ability to write TPACK-based teaching instruments, although the result is considered fair. Meanwhile, the teachers still need to get the knowledge on how to integrate materials using digital applications and mix them into interesting teaching materials and media.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach on the academic performance of fourth-grade students at SDN Lawanggintung 2. This study is quantitative with a pre-experimental design, using purposive random sampling and a one-group pretest-posttest method. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students at SDN Lawanggintung 2. The study results showed that the TaRL approach was proven effective in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN Lawanggintung 2. The research instrument used was the students' pretest and posttest scores in Indonesian, which functioned as a measure of learning outcomes. The pretest results showed an average score of 56.25. After the TaRL approach was applied as a treatment, the post-test results showed an increase in the average score of 78.25. This increase was supported by the significance values ​​of the pretest and posttest, which were <0.05. Furthermore, the N-Gain value 1.61 was included in the high category (g ≥ 0.70), indicating an effective increase. The results suggest that implementing the TaRL approach can notably enhance students' learning achievements in Indonesian language classes.

Abstract

This article discusses the development and feasibility testing of QuizWhizzer-based Electronic Interactive Game media with the Sub-theme of An Attempt for Environmental Conservation at the fifthgrade students of SDN Cikutamahi 01. The method used is the Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE method (Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating). To find out the feasibility of QuizWhizzer-based Electronic Interactive game media, the researchers provided validation for 6 experts, trials, and field trials. The results indicate that the QuizWhizzer-based Electronic Interactive Game is feasible to use as an evaluation in the classroom. Based on the data validation, the media expert validation average percentage was 92%, the linguist validation average percentage was 100%, and the material expert validation average percentage was 98.33%. In addition, the results of the small group trial obtained 81.33%, and the data from the field trial obtained 95.23% in the "Very Good" category. It means that the electronic interactive game media based on QuizWhizzer on the subtheme of environmental conservation that was developed is very feasible to use as an evaluation for students at class V of SDN Cikutamahi 01.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing university students’ ability to solve environmental pollution problems, with mathematical literacy as a moderating variable. Conducted in Indonesia, the research adopted a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design involving 64 biology education students from Universitas Pakuan. Participants were assessed using open-ended problem-solving tests and a rubric aligned with the PISA framework. Results from two-way ANOVA showed significant effects of the learning model (F(1, 58) = 32.84, p < .001, η² = .216) and mathematical literacy levels (F(2, 58) = 29.17, p < .001, η² = .201) on problem-solving performance. Although both groups improved by 18.75 points from the pretest to the post-test, the PBL group outperformed the control. Post hoc analysis (Tukey HSD) revealed that students with high mathematical literacy achieved the highest scores (M = 91.8, SD = 3.7), confirming its moderating effect. These findings underscore the value of integrating mathematical literacy into PBL to promote contextual learning and real-world problem-solving. Future studies should explore broader samples and longitudinal impacts across diverse educational contexts.
