Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah merencanakan pengembangan Sistem Penyaluran Air Limbah (SPAL) dan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) skala komunal untuk seluruh wilayah Perumahan Singhasari Residence, Kabupaten Malang dan dilakukan pembagian wilayah pengembangan yang dibagi dalam 3 zona pelayanan, yakni wilayah pelayanan I, II dan III. Hasil kajian aspek teknis, diperoleh debit air limbah yang masuk ke pengembangan IPAL eksisting sebesar 0,027 m3/det. Sedangkan debit yang masuk pada unit IPAL wilayah I adalah 0,017 m3/det. Pada rencana pengelolaan SPAL dan IPAL komunal berbasis masyarakat akan sulit untuk dilaksanakan karena rumah yang berada di Perumahan Singhasari Residence berstatus rata-rata sebagai rumah kedua milik warga. Berdasarkan hasil analisa diperoleh biaya OM untuk wilayah I adalah Rp 5000/m3. Sedangkan biaya OM untuk pengembangan SPAL IPAL eksisting adalah Rp 3500/m3.

Abstract

This study explored the relationship between households’ average formal education levels and sanitation practices. Although formal education was intended to prepare individuals for personal and professional life situations, local habits and cultural practices could sometimes be more influential than educational background, as evidenced by urinary habits practiced in the country. These habits played a crucial role in determining whether urine was disposed of in the toilet, processed in a septic tank, or directly entered the drainage system when spilled on the bathroom floor. In this study, the definition of sanitation differed from that previously outlined by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs defined sanitation based on the percentage of households that used safely managed services, including handwashing facilities. This study, however, focused on excreta disposal, desludging intervals, septic tank types, and urinary habits, such as whether urine was disposed of on the bathroom floor or in the toilet. These factors were chosen for their ability to accurately reflect the actual conditions observed in the study area. A survey was conducted among 100 households, and data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results revealed no relationship between households’ average formal education levels and sanitation practices. This analysis suggested that other factors, such as cultural beliefs and environmental habits, may have influenced sanitation practices.

Abstract

The energy cost at Perumda Air Minum Tirta Sewakadarma reached Rp452/m³, exceeding the national average of Rp380.13/m³. Despite this, no energy audit has been conducted in accordance with established standards. This study aims to conduct a preliminary energy audit and assess opportunities to enhance energy efficiency, particularly at the distribution pump of IPA Waribang II. The research involved primary data collection through field observations and secondary data. The audit revealed SEC of 0.23 kWh/m³, which is good. However, total pump efficiency was only 44.23%, below the recommended minimum of 60%. The distribution pump’s capacity exceeds the IPA, prompting manual adjustment of motor speed using VSD to 1,250 rpm, down from its maximum 1,480 rpm, to match IPA output of 150 L/s. The optimization could is by forming a subzone aligned with IPA capacity and automating the VSD based on demand fluctuations. Alternatively, the pump could be replaced with one appropriately sized for the IPA. The voltage imbalance is 0.33%, indicating stable power supply. The power factor is measured at 0.91 and could be improved to 0.99 using capacitor bank to avoid reactive power penalties.

Abstract

Tingginya populasi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya menyebabkan luas lahan pertanianberkurang rata-rata 1% - 2% setiap tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan kesesuaian lahanpertanian, nilai daya dukung lahan pertanian, serta menentukan prioritas kebijakan daya dukung lahan pertanian terhadap ketahanan pangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis peta overlay, perhitungan daya dukung lahan pertanian, dan teknik Analisis Hierarki Proses (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 kelas kemampuan lahan, yaitu kemampuan pengembangan lahan sedang (C) yang tersebar di 3 (tiga) kecamatan yang meliputi Porong, Krembung, dan Jabon. Kemampuan pengembangan lahan cukup tinggi (D) yang tersebar di 7 (tujuh) kecamatan yang meliputi Porong, Krembung, Jabon, Balongbendo, Wonoayu, Prambon, dan Sukodono. Kemampuan pengembangan lahan sangat tinggi (E) yang tersebar di hampir seluruh wilayah kecamatan di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Arahan kesesuaian lahan pertanian rata-rata berada pada kemampuan lahan yang sangattinggi (E). Oleh karena itu, arahan pengembangannya adalah untuk tanaman musiman (padi). Arahan kebijakan prioritasuntuk daya dukung lahan pertanian terhadap ketahanan pangan dapat dilakukan dengan: 1) meningkatkan indeks produksi tanaman pangan sebesar 55,3%, 2) mempertahankan lahan pertanian pangan sebesar 29,0%, dan 3) memberikan insentif kepada petani yang mempertahankan lahannya sebesar 15,6%.
