Abstract

The rapid evolution of technology and social media influence, added with the dynamic of consumer behavior and possibility of change in policy and regulation, have brought about consequential uncertainties to the non-formal foreign language education industry in Jabodetabek, Indonesia. Scenario planning approach is used in this research to guide stakeholders in preparing the future. The time frame referred in this study is from 2030 to 2035 (5 to 10 years from the time this paper was written), a period deemed to be short to medium term. Eleven key driving factors were identified from this study through qualitative analysis and were assessed using a PESTEL framework. Following the qualitative analysis, rating method was conducted and two critical uncertainties for this industry were identified, they are “affordability & economic condition”, and “consumer-driven demand”.

Abstract

This study delves into the relationship between rewards, career development, and employee performance within the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia (MoF), amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 epidemic. Employing a path analysis, perspectives from 100 MoF workers are examined, revealing noteworthy findings that contribute significantly to the understanding of these relationships. Notably, a clear and statistically significant correlation between rewards and employee performance is identified, alongside a favorable direct correlation between career development and rewards. Importantly, there is no statistically significant evidence indicating a direct influence of career development on employee performance. Through indirect analysis, rewards emerge as a mediating factor, exerting no significant impact between career development and employee performance. This study provides a scholarly contribution by offering insights into the adaptations made to HRM practices within the financial public services sector in response to the pandemic's effects. The findings hold considerable practical implications, furnishing insights for public organizations to strategically manage their incentive systems and career development programs, as well as comprehend the complex interrelationships among these factors. Public organizations seeking to enhance their HRM practices can derive guidance offered by this study, serving as a resource on cultivating a resilient and productive workforce in the post-COVID-19.

Abstract

This research existed as conducted to assess the compatibility of scenario planning to prepare plausible strategies for learning and consulting company that functions as part of an SOE port operator group, in developing its capabilities to meet the difficulties of fulfilling the parent company's mandate as an HR solution enabler. A qualitative research initiated by combine external environmental analysis using PESTEL and internal resource evaluation with the VRIO model to identify critical uncertainties that impact the company's strategic direction. These variables form the basis of a four-scenario matrix that captures a range of believable upcoming conditions. Each circumstance exists as advanced with detailed stories, calculated consequences, promptly warning signals, and reply possibilities. From the more extensive set of driving influences, two vital ambiguities stand as determined: the degree of calculated freedom granted to the corporation within the SOE group and the level of marketplace openness beyond the inside harbor operator ecosystem. The discoveries indicating that (1) advancement focuses vary notably between contexts but still demand a baseline, especially in terms of resource oversight capacities, strategy standardization, and business abilities; (2) Excessive dependency on third-party ability without a systematic inner competency roadmap poses long-term calculated risks; and (3) Gradual skill advancement, aligned with feasible upcoming conditions, empowers bodies to balance short-term efficiency necessities and performance targets with long-term calculated placement. The investigation concludes that context organization plays a essential position as a business approach tool while as well highlighting the importance of ordered skill construction that aligned with organization long-term tactical intent and institutional oversight restrictions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the current position of the Indonesian credit card industry in formulating alternative scenario planning as a repositioning effort in the digital era. Using a qualitative research design with descriptive methods, this study was conducted using interview data collection and documentation studies from various literature sources. Scenario planning was developed using PESTEL analysis and Porter’s Five Forces to identify key points, changes, and future scenario planning for credit cards in Indonesia. The results indicate that efforts to reposition the Indonesian credit card industry require strengthening and integrating the Indonesian credit card industry ecosystem with digitalized services. Transformation efforts are not limited to just transformation efforts, but also the need to strengthen regulators that offer customer acquisition and expand flexible collaboration
