The development of information technology, especially in the banking sector, customers can now easily access their financial services through mobile banking platforms. However, amidst such convenience, there are concerns about the security of customer data. The focus of this research is on written law or law on the books and customs, as the protection of personal data is crucial as the data stored in the banking system includes financial details, personal identity, and other sensitive data. This research uses normative legal research methods, which are also known by other terms such as positive legal research methods, doctrinal legal research methods, and pure legal research methods. The main regulations in Indonesia in this case are Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), as well as Bank Indonesia Regulations (PBI) regarding Information Security and Banking Transactions (PBI 18/40/PBI/2016). Protecting the personal data of BRI mobile banking customers requires a deep understanding of the various types of digital crime, including social engineering practices. With appropriate protection measures and high awareness from all relevant parties, it is expected to effectively reduce the risk of data leakage and maintain the security of clients' personal data.

The issue of the amount of interest on online loans or peer-to-peer lending has become an actual issue and raises problems from the aspect of legal protection for the parties. Reasonable and fair interest for parties can expand financial access and increase the achievement of financial inclusion of the Indonesia people. This study uses normative legal research methods but is equipped with supporting data from observations and interviews from the field as using empirical legal research methods. Based on the discussion carried out it can be seen that the information contained in the online loan application is not transparent regarding the existence of reasonable interest rates on online loans, does not provide legal certainty for consumers, especially in protecting their rights, this is due to the fact that there are still many business actors who provide unclear information. The legal regulation model for the imposition of fair interest on co-financing services or online loan services since the issuance of the Financial Services Authority Circular No 19/SEOJK.06/2023 concerning the Implementation of Information Technology-Based Co-Financing Services the interest is expressly differentiated between productive funding and consumptive funding

This study discusses the aggravation of criminal penalties against perpetrators who force children to engage in sexual intercourse, with a focus on Decision Number 253/Pid.Sus/2025/PN.Kis. Cases of sexual violence against children in Indonesia continue to increase and have serious impacts on children’s futures, both physically and psychologically. These crimes become even more concerning when committed by individuals closest to the victim, such as a stepfather, who should provide protection and a sense of security to the child. This research aims to analyze the legal regulations regarding the aggravation of punishment for perpetrators of forced sexual intercourse against children, the forms of coercion committed by the perpetrator, and the judge’s considerations in rendering the decision in Case Number 253/Pid.Sus/2025/PN.Kis.The research method used is normative legal research with statutory and case approaches. The data sources consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study show that the aggravation of criminal sanctions against perpetrators of sexual violence against children is regulated under Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection, including the possibility of imposing additional measures in the form of chemical castration. In the case examined, the judge sentenced the defendant to 12 years of imprisonment and a fine but did not impose additional measures such as chemical castration, despite the repeated acts and threats committed against the victim. Therefore, stricter and more proportional sanctions are necessary to create a deterrent effect and ensure the protection of children as victims of sexual violence.

The rapid growth of financial technology (FinTech), particularly information technology–based lending services (peer-to-peer lending), has transformed the financing ecosystem by enabling direct interaction between lenders and borrowers through digital platforms. Despite this development, governance mechanisms that represent and protect the collective interests of funders remain limited within the regulatory framework. This study aims to analyze the legal position, functions, and potential regulatory framework of the General Meeting of Funders as a governance mechanism in information technology–based joint funding services. The research employs a normative juridical approach using statutory, conceptual, and comparative legal analyses. The findings indicate that the absence of a formal collective forum for funders may weaken transparency, accountability, and collective decision-making in digital lending platforms. The proposed concept of a General Meeting of Funders can function as a participatory governance mechanism that facilitates collective supervision, strengthens the accountability of platform operators, and enhances legal protection for funders. This study contributes to the development of regulatory frameworks for digital financial services by proposing a governance model that balances technological innovation with legal certainty and investor protection.

Zombie companies—persistently unprofitable firms sustained by cheap credit or government support—pose a significant challenge to Indonesia’s post-COVID-19 economic recovery. This study analyzes their legal status within Indonesian law, particularly in relation to the going concern principle, bankruptcy provisions, and state intervention policies. Using a normative-empirical approach, the research examines key regulations, including Law No. 40/2007 on Limited Liability Companies, Law No. 37/2004 on Bankruptcy as amended by Law No. 4/2023, and OJK regulations on credit restructuring. Findings reveal regulatory gaps that enable the persistence of zombie firms, leading to moral hazard, inefficient capital allocation, and rising non-performing loans (NPLs). Comparative insights from China highlight the importance of stricter enforcement and structured firm exit mechanisms. This study recommends establishing objective zombie thresholds, strengthening OJK oversight, and reforming legal frameworks to enhance market discipline and support sustainable economic growth in emerging economies.
