Abstract

Sebuah kajian komprehensif iklim organisasi literatur mengakibatkan identifikasi delapan dimensi iklim organisasi. Delapan operasional definisi dimensi dikembangkan dan diuji antara sampel tenaga dosen dan non dosen (karyawan).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat tekanan kerja kurang positif sedangkan untuk dimensi yang lain memiliki iklim kerja yang positif. Namun organisasi perlu mengembangkan lagi tujuh dimensi yang lain agar memiliki persepsi yang lebih positif (tidak ragu-ragu).

Abstract

The paper will discuss social responsibility that is related to business. The term 'social responsibility' refers to the responsibility of managers or organizations in carrying out their socially approved missions, to be responsive to, to be congruent with and to interact and live with the forces and elements of their social environment. Social responsibility was still perceived as the burden for almost all of the business society in Indonesia. This perception was then followed by business malpractices that created disadvantages for the society as a whole. Recently, as people were not passive anymore, the business society can no longer do what they want to do without social considerations. Business is not merely a matter of economics. The existence of businesses should provide the society with welfare. This new paradigm is a new challenge for Indonesian businesses today and in the future.

Abstract

Measuring organization effectiveness has not so simple matter. It is because organization has no single objectives that must be met in a certain period of time Therefore, you cannot say that a certain organization is an effective organization merely because of its profits or something like that. What you should do is using an appropriate approach to determine its effectiveness, such as the goal-attainment; internal process model; system model or the human relation model.In using a certain approach to evaluate, you must consider what we say an organization life cycle. Why? It is because in each stage of the life cycle contains unique characteristics that are different each other. When the organization is in an entrepreneurial stage, you should not evaluate its effectiveness by using goal attainment model but you have to apply the system model. Also, when a certain organization has reached its growth in its cycle, you must use the human relation model to evaluate. Finally, I would like to say that actually there is no precise operational definition of the organization effectiveness. It is because of its Complexities.

Abstract

LEADERSHIP plays a central part in every organization, because it determines the achievement of the organization's goals. But what kinds of leadership we need today and for the future? The change in the social environment towards the civil society at this moment need to be anticipated with the participate style rather than autocratic style of leadership. By orienting the leadership towards the human aspects, it is possible to that leader applying the social skills that enable him/her creating the emotional quotient (EQ) that is very important in today's leadership.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the importance of cultural aspects within the environment. This is mostly important whenever the market goes globally, because the larger market means the most differential taste will be. The differences in cultural background of the consumers cause the differential in consumer's taste. That's why the marketers should consider the cultural aspects of the consumers. Cultural consideration in the marketing programs will create growths of the enterprises because of the acceptance of the products and the acceptance of the way the products are promoted. Therefore, the observations of cultural patterns of the consumers should always be done accurately. By doing the accurate observations, the marketers can designing good decisions about the strategies and the marketing programs.

Abstract

This paper is about organizational change. The dynamic of the environment fade today creates many' changes that must be faced by all organizations around the world. The liberation of economic system; the advancement of information technology; competition; and demographics changes will forced the organization, to change the system that already established. However, the process oi change need a great effort, time and energy to Tight against  the power of the status quo.To respond the changes in the environment, the organizations should do the development programs, (OD Program) that is the planned system wide effort managed from the top with the assistance of a change agents to, improve the organization, effectiveness. Without an effective, OD program, organizations will collapse in the competitions.Keywords: Organization change; liberation of the economic; system; and organizational development.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe a hot issue called plagiarism. Even though, this is not a simple matter and even some people said that it is a mission impossible, higher education should participate to overcome the problem. The problems of plagiarism exist 'because of many reasons. First it is caused by internal factors, such as personality; values and low appreciation of science. Second it is merely 'caused by external factors such as education system, promotion system, character building, reading habits and control of the institution.  Therefore, several  steps should be taken, such as emphasizing  of the character building  in the process  of learning; providing  the system  control and improving  the process  of consultation. By doing this steps, it is possible to minimize that deviant behavior.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan furnitur atau mebel dari bambusebagai implementasi kriya bambu di Canala, Kaledonia Baru untuk peningkatan potensiekonomi kerakyatan. Hal ini tidak lepas akan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat dandiharapkan dapat mengembangkan produk-produk lain. Peningkatan kualitas produkdilakukan dengan berlatih secara terus-menerus agar skill yang dimiliki semakin baik, meliputipengembangan desain, pengembangan produk maupun pengembangan kreatifitas yangdimiliki. Implementasi kriya bambu dengan produk yang dibuat adalah furnitur tempat tidurdan kursi, furnitur tempat tidur merupakan ranjang yang berfungsi untuk beristirahat atau tidur,sedangkan kursi merupakan perabot yang digunakan untuk duduk. Proses pembuatan kursidan tempat tidur bambu, meliputi: persiapan bahan bambu, menebang bambu, desainsederhana, pemotongan bambu sesuai desain, pembuatan alas dengan di ukir, pembuatankomponen, perakitan komponen, memberikan ikatan tali pada sambungan, finishing dankontrol kualitas. Peluang produk ini diharapakan dapat berpotensi menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan dengan potensi pangsa pasar di masa mendatang, apabila dikelola dengan baik dimasyarakat Canala, Kaledonia Baru.
