Abstract

This study used an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design4 treatment 3 replication The results showed that the giving of various types of feed gave significant effect (P <0,05) to EPP and RGR but not significant (P> 0,05) to PER and survival rate. The feed that can increase EPP and RGR is the silk worm and snail. The feed of silk worm and snail can produce EPP of 7.33% and 5.75% while RGR value is 2.24% / day and 1.73% / day. The feed that can increase PER is a silk worm capable of generating PER of 0.23%. Water quality in maintenance media is in the appropriate range for the growth of rice eel (M. albus). Based on the results of research can be concluded that the feed that can increase eel growth is by giving the silk worm.

Abstract

 Catfish (Pangasius sp.) Is one of the most cultivated freshwater fish, because it is one of the fish that has a high economic value. However, the use of phytopharmaca is used to improve feed efficiency and fish growth. One of the phytopharmaca which can be used as an antimicrobial is temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb). This study aims to determine the optimal dose of the effect of temulawak extract on artificial feed in increasing feed consumption, efficiency of feed utilization, and growth rate of catfish (Pangasius sp.). The test fish is maintained with a stocking density of 1 tail / l with a maintenance time of 42 days. This study used an experimental method with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were Treatment A (addition of 0 ml ginger extract), B (addition of 6 ml temulawak extract), C (addition of 12 ml curcuma extract), and D (addition of 18 ml ginger extract). The data observed included absolute weight, crime scene, EPP, SGR, REP, SR and water quality. The results showed that the addition of temulawak extract to artificial feed had a very significant effect on absolute weights, crime scenes, EPP, SGR, REP but did not differ significantly for survival. The optimum dose of addition of curcuma extract to total feed consumption is 11 ml capable of producing a maximum crime scene of 168.1 g, efficiency of feed utilization is 10.5 ml capable of producing a maximum EPP of 70.3% and specific growth rate is 10.8 ml resulting in maximum SGR 2.46% / day

Abstract

Daphnia sp. merupakan pakan alami yang potensial untuk larva ikan karena mempunyai kandungan nutrisi yang tinggi. Kandungan nutrisi Daphnia sp. tergantung pada pakan yang dimakan dalam media kultur. Kultur Daphnia sp. sering dilakukan dengan penggunaan pupuk yang difermentasi. Fermentasi merupakan suatu proses penguraian atau perombakan suatu bahan organik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu fermentasi kotoran burung puyuh, roti afkir, dan ampas tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan bobot biomassa Daphnia sp. dan mengetahui waktu fermentasi terbaik untuk pertumbuhan, bobot biomassa, dan kandungan lemak Daphnia sp. Kepadatan Daphnia sp. yaitu 100 ind/L. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan perlakuan kultur Daphnia sp. menggunakan pupuk yang difermentasi dengan waktu berbeda yaitu: perlakuan A (pupuk tanpa fermentasi), perlakuan B (pupuk fermentasi 7 hari), perlakuan C (pupuk fermentasi 14 hari), dan perlakuan D (pupuk fermentasi 21 hari). Kombinasi kotoran burung puyuh: roti afkir: ampas tahu yaitu dengan perbandingan 1: 2: 1.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi kotoran burung puyuh, roti afkir, dan ampas tahu yang difermentasi dengan waktu berbeda dalam media kultur Daphnia sp. memberikan pengaruh nyata (P˂0,05) pada pertumbuhan Daphnia sp. dan berpengaruh sama (P≥0,05) pada bobot biomassa Daphnia sp. Perlakuan B memberikan nilai terbaik dengan kepadatan populasi tertinggi yaitu 99.437,53 ind/L; laju pertumbuhan spesifik yaitu 0,493 /hari; bobot biomassa 118,62 ± 9,40 g; dan kandungan lemak 9,50%.

Abstract

This research was aimed to found out the effect of fermented quail feces, bread waste, and tofu and determine the best treatment to generate the biomass growth, and the nutrition content of the Daphnia sp. This research used laboratory animals such as Daphnia sp. and a container of concrete tanks as many as four. The methods of this research was used experimental methods with Complete Randomize Design with 4 treatments and population count repetition as 3 times with the density of the Daphnia sp. was 100 ind./l. Treatments of this research were Tretment A (0 % chicken mannure, 50 % tofu waste and 50 % bread waste), B (25 % chicken mannure, 50 % tofu waste and 25 % bread waste), C (25 % chicken mannure, 25 % tofu waste and 50 % bread waste, D (50 % chicken mannure, 25 % tofu waste and 25 % bread waste) with the total amount of the combination was 200 g/l. Data which observed were population density, biomass, and nutrition content. The results showed that the treatment of A was the lowest population density valued 548.67 ind / ml and the highest population density was on C treatment with a density of 1328.67 ind / ml at the peak of the stationary phase. Biomass in treatment C resulted in 336.30 grams and the treatment A yield 82.64 grams, and the content of nutrients with the highest protein is found in the C treatment with a value of 66.80%.Keywords : Daphnia sp.; chicken manure; tofu waste; bread waste; fermentation

Abstract

Platy sword fish (Xiphophorus helleri) is one of ornamental fishes which are commonly raised. The price of platy sword fish could decrease if they have fade coloration on their body. One of solution to improve and maintain quality of the color is by adding astaxanthine into its artificial feed. This study aims to analyze effects of the astaxanthine addition in artificial feed on an increase of color intensity of platy fish as well as to find optimal dose of astaxanthine. Fish used to be tested is platy sword fish ( X. helleri ) with the total of 120 tails in which they have an average weight of 2,0 ± 0,06 g per fish. Astaxanthine used in this study is obtained from PT. Indobeta Store Jakarta. While feed used in this study is commercial pellet containing protein 30 % and by adding astaxanthine based on the treatments, those are A treatment (0 mg astaxanthine/kgfeed), B treatment (100 mg astaxanthine/kg-feed), C treatment ( 200 mg astaxanthine/kg-feed ), and D treatment ( 300 mg astaxanthine/kg-feed ). Observation of the color intensity was conducted in 6 weeks using TCF (Toca Color Finder). The addition of astaxanthine into artificial feed with different doses can influence on the increase of color intensity of platy sword fish (X. helleri). Astaxanthine dose of 200 mg/kg feed is best dose for the increase of color intensity of platy sword fish (X heller ).Keywords: platy sword fish, astaxanthine, color intensity, survival rate

Abstract

PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EKSTRAK BUAH NANAS PADA PAKAN BUATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PEMANFAATAN PAKAN, PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELULUSHIDUPAN BENIH IKAN BAWAL AIR TAWAR (Colossoma macropomum)Cici Ulviyadipura, Johannes Hutabarat, Pinandoyo Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Diponegoro Email: Pinandjaya@yahoo.comABSTRAKPenambahan ekstrak buah nanas dapat meningkatkan tingkat pemanfaatan pakan. Enzim bromelin yang terkandung didalam ekstrak buah nanas mampu memecah protein menjadi senyawa yang lebih sederhana sehingga mudah diserap kedalam tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak buah nanas pada pakan buatan dan menentukan dosis optimum untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan pakan, pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan bawal air tawar (C. macropomum). Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan bawal air tawar (C. macropomum) berukuran 5 – 6 cm dengan rata-rata bobot awal 3,07±0,03 g dan kepadatan 1 ekor/1 liter selama 35 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah perlakuan A, B, C, D dan E masing-masing dengan penambahan ekstrak buah nanas sebesar 0%, 0,75%, 1,5%, 2,25% dan 3%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak buah nanas memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap total konsumsi pakan (TKP), efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan (EPP), dan laju pertumbuhan relatif (RGR) namun tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P>0,05) terhadap protein efisiensi rasio (PER) dan kelulushidupan (SR). Dosis optimum ekstrak buah nanas sebesar 1,85% mampu menghasilkan TKP maksimal sebesar 79,8 g, dosis optimum ekstrak buah nanas sebesar 1,80% mampu menghasilkan EPP maksimal 41,8% dan dosis optimum ekstrak buah nanas sebesar 1,81% mampu menghasilkan RGR maksimal sebesar 3,30%/hari.Kata kunci : ikan bawal air tawar; ekstrak buah nanas; pemanfaatan pakan; pertumbuhan; kelulushidupanABSTRACT

Abstract

This purpose of this studyis to determinethe optimizationof the use of dextrin on shrimp feedin pellet form to reveal the value of protein efficiencyratio (PER), the efficiencyof feed utilization(EPP), the relative growth rate(RGR) andsurvival rate(SR) of juveniletiger shrimp(P. monodon). experimental method with used complete randomized design(CRD) 4 treatmentsandt 3 plications. Abstract

To produce certain quality germ of goldfish artificial fertilization is made. The obstacle is insufficient fish sperm becauseof inadequate male mather and the gonad which arent simultaneously mature. To solve this problem, the fish sperm is stored by using thinning agent. The agent has to sustain sperm life during the storage. One of the medium is glycerined-milk. The research aims to find out the effect of glyserine with different concentration on thining milk to sperm motility and percentage of eggs hatching. Different glyserine concentration treatments are A) 0% B) 1% C) 3% D) 4%. After three days storage, the sperm motility is done by using microscope. The result show that variety of glyserine concentration in thinning milk give obvious effect to sperm motility percentage, fertility percentahe, and egg hatching. The highest sperm motility percentage obtained by treatment D (96,28 %) followed C 95.68 %, B (91,90 %), A (90,48), and E (89,04). The percentage of Fertilization are D,B,A,E with result 97,44 %, 94,64%, 90,92%, 89,91 %, 89,32 % respectively. The percentage of hatching are D (86.85 %), C (85.41%), B (84,23), A (83,73) and E (78,16). The water quality during research is still on the reasonable range to egg hatching.
