Abstract

ABSTRACTTemu Misti is an important figure as a Gandrung Banyuwangi women dancer. She develops the different types of Gandrung songs, which become specialty of Banyuwangi ethnic. Using the concept of Ritzer’s micro social and qualitative methods, the author explains the existence of Gandrung dancer named Temu in the village of Kemiren in Banyuwangi. As a gandrung dancer, Temu has expertise in dance, vocals, and organizational management. As an outstanding dancer, Temu received an award as an inspirational woman in the recording industry, her role as a dancer who has golden voice as well as a manager of cultural arts organization. Temu has succesfully created generations of gandrung dancers. For her achievements, Temu is categorized as a public figure in art and culture who is able to influence and to drive thoughts and actions of individuals or groups of people by which they positioned Temu as an inspiring woman.keywords: Temu, gandrung, role, inspirational, women dancerABSTRAKTemu Misti adalah seorang perempuan inspirasional sebagai penari gandrung Banyuwangi yang berhasil mengembangkan lagu-lagu gandrung menjadi khas etnik Banyuwangi. Penulis menggunakan konsep eksistensi sosial mikro oleh Ritzer dengan metode kualitatif, untuk menjelaskan keberadaan seorang penari kesenian gandrung bernama Temu di Desa Kemiren Banyuwangi. Sebagai penari gandrung, Temu memiliki keunggulan di bidang olah gerak, olah suara, dan manajemen organisasi. Temu sebagai penari yang unggul dalam olah gerak dan olah suara telah mendapat penghargaan sebagai wanita inspiratif dan sukses, baik dalam industri rekaman, sebagai penari nomor satu bersuara emas, maupun sebagai pengelola organisasi seni budaya sehingga ia mampu menciptakan generasi penari gandrung. Atas prestasinya, Temu dikategorikan sebagai tokoh masyarakat bidang seni budaya yang mampu memengaruhi dan mengarahkan pikiran dan tindakan individu atau kelompok masyarakat hingga membuahkan pernyataan-pernyataan yang memosisikan Temu sebagai individu pada derajat ketokohan wanita inspiratif.Kata Kunci: Temu, gandrung, peran, inspiratif, penari perempuan.

Abstract

Training on Batik Making Process and Beauty Makeup Techniques to Improve Skills for Dasawisma Group RT 18/RW 03 Kalibader Village, Kalijaten Subdistrict, Sidoarjo is based on the problem of housewives of Dasawisma RT 18/RW 03 Kalibader Village, Kalijaten Subdistrict, Sidoarjo (Partners) with an average education level of junior high school, the majority of whom do not work, so that a lot of free time is usually used to gather/chat in one of the stalls so that it is not economically productive. Partners do not have makeup skills, so when there is an Independence Day celebration (if there is a carnival or performance) it is a hassle to have to go to a beauty salon which requires costs. Through the Beginner Community Service Grant (PMP) from the Directorate of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, training was held on the process of making batik and beauty makeup using the methods of socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge and skills of Partners, and it is hoped that in the future batik skills and makeup techniques can help improve the family economy.
