Abstract

Mapala Sakai itself is the first mapala caving pioneer in Riau. The science of caving is currently very common among nature-loving students in Pekanbaru, as a result nature-loving students are less concerned with the condition of existing karst areas. So the lack of availability of complete data and information regarding existing karst areas, results in management and policy making regarding karst and its contents being undirected and tending to ignore the important function and potential of karst as a never-ending water provider as well as being a repository of knowledge from various fields such as, biology, geology, hydrology, archeology, and also speleology. To maintain and preserve the karst areas in Indonesia, there is a need for cavers (cave exploration activists) who will study the science of caving and speleology. This research explains how Mapala Sakai's communication strategy increases interest in caving for mapala in Pekanbaru, and finds out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Mapala Sakai's communication strategy. This research method is descriptive qualitative, using a strategic communication model, in this research involving four informants in order to obtain relevant data, in accordance with the objectives and needs of the research using purposive sampling techniques. Based on research with informants, the results of this research show that Mapala Sakai's communication strategy in increasing interest in caving for Mapala in Pekanbaru is based on communication elements, namely communicator selection, message selection, media selection, audience selection, and response. These results were obtained from data processing using qualitative data analysis techniques. This research shows that Mapala Sakai, through a communicator selection strategy, targets audiences including active members of Mapala in Pekanbaru. The media used are social media such as YouTube and Instagram and direct face-to-face meetings, and the response is an increasing number of mapala members in caving activitie

Abstract

The health sector is part of the impact of climate change both directly and indirectly. Climate change affects rainfall and temperature changes, causing disease-transmitting vectors such as mosquitoes to breed more easily. Moreover, it is supported by environmental factors and bad behavior in implementing clean and healthy living. Therefore, in addition to mitigation, efforts to adapt to climate change are important in anticipating the impact. The activity aims to provide supplies to increase community capacity, especially in terms of environmental health and clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), as an effort as a climate change adaptation strategy. The method was health education with lectures, discussions, and a question-and-answer approach. In addition, a pre-test was previously carried out to fill in open questions related to the topics. All community leaders in Antutan village followed this activity. The activity was implemented on July 17, 2024, in Antutan Village, Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province. This activity was successful, marked by the enthusiasm of the participants during the presentation as well as the many questions that came in during the question-and-answer session and discussion. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence and employee empowerment on employee performance at PT Bank Muamalat KCP A. Rivai Palembang. The methodology used in this research is quantitative, with data collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 38 respondents. The data collected were processed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and classical assumption tests to ensure the validity and reliability of the results. The analysis results reveal that both emotional intelligence and employee empowerment have a significant effect on employee performance, both independently and collectively. Emotional intelligence contributes to how employees manage their emotions and relationships, leading to better decision-making and work performance. Meanwhile, employee empowerment enhances employees' sense of autonomy, responsibility, and engagement, which in turn improves their performance.
