Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by wordwall quiz media on earth and solar system material on learning outcomes and activeness of seventh grade students of SMPN 6 Kisaran. The study used a Quasi Experimental design with a Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design research design. The sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class with the TGT learning model and the control class using the direct learning model with a total of 32 students each. Sampling was done by random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using tests and observations. The data were analyzed by testing the hypothesis using the Mann Whitney test on student learning activeness and the Independent Sample T-test on student learning outcomes. The results of observations of student learning activeness show that the average value of student learning activeness of the experimental class is 79.2 which is included in the category of very active and the control class is 65.2 which is included in the active category. The pretest learning outcomes of students in the experimental class showed an average value of 36.6 students and in the control class 33.6. The posttest learning outcomes of students in the experimental class showed an average score of 78.4 with 24 students complete and in the control class 57.3 with 4 students complete. Hypothesis testing shows that there are significant differences in student activeness and learning outcomes in the experimental class using the Teams Games Tournament Type Cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall Quiz compared to the control class using the direct learning model on solar system material.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and identify the development of operations research and its model as a problem solving technique. Operations research can be seen as a combination of art and science. The science lies in the use of mathematical techniques and algorithms to solve problems, while as an art, the success of this mathematical model solution is very dependent on the creativity and ability of the decision maker in solving the problem. Data were collected from articles and national journals published in the last 5 years, with related keywords such as "development of operations research", "operations research", and "operations research models". Analysis was carried out on 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The research results show that the development of operations research has had a major influence on management organizations. Both the number and variety of applications are growing very rapidly. The development of operations research represents fundamental progress achieved at an early stage in the development of existing techniques for operations research. This research aims to serve as a guide for everyone who wants to learn and deepen their knowledge. Apart from that, the aim is also to provide enlightenment to educators, students, educational practitioners, managers of educational institutions, and the general public, in order to create a golden generation with broad knowledge and insight. By implementing these recommendations, it is hoped that the development of operations research can be well understood so that it can help students build professionalism and broad understanding in the field of operational research.

The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the learning climate of automotive training, as well as a picture of the learning motivation of automotive training participants, and to examine the relationship between the learning climate and the learning motivation of automotive training participants at LKP Smart College Kota Padang. This study took a quantitative approach to correlational research. The participants in this study were 18 trainees who attended automotive training at LKP Smart College Kota Padang. In this study, the sample size was 14 participants drawn from 80% of the population, for a total of 18 people. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses a percentage formula and a ranking order correlation formula. The results of this study show that (1) the learning climate for automotive training is classified as less conducive, (2) the learning motivation of automotive training participants is low, and (3) there is a relationship between the learning climate and learning motivation which is stated to be significant because this is classified as really high. It is essential that instructors pay attention to participant variety so that participants feel appreciated and driven to further develop their talents. It is essential that training organizers provide suitable facilities in order to establish a comfortable learning environment and boost participants' learning motivation.
