Abstract

A field experiment to evaluate the effect of variety and Trichoderma harzianum compost  doses which riches on the growth and yield of red chilli was carried out at the Experimental Farm Agricultural Faculty Syiah Kuala University, from May 2013 through to January 2014. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Factorial Design with two replications. The treatment one consisted of three variety i.e.: F-1 Paramas 201, Ferosa var CA. 237 and Kheng Aik, the treatment two consisted of four doses T. harzianum compost i.e.: control, 10 g per plant, 20 per plant and 30 g per plant. The result showed that the variety and T. harzianum compost  doses increased growth and yield of red chilli, and the variety F-1 Paramas 201 was found to give the highest plant, long fruit, height per fruit, fruit number per plant and fruit weight per plant and dosage of 20 g per plant of T. harzianum compost was found to give the fruit number per plant, height per fruit and fruit weight per plant.

Abstract

The aim of this research is find out best kind effect of growing media and concentration of the plant growth regulator Dekamon and interaction both of two treatment on growth and yield of melon. This research was conducted at the Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Banda Aceh at May until August 2013. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design 3 x 5 with 2 factors and 3 replications. The results of this experiment shows that the growing media give significant effect on height of plant at the age 36 dap and diameter rods 16 dap. Growing media of soil + husk (M2) is better growing media to  height of plant and diameter rods but soil + compost (M3) is better to give  generative result of melon. The concentration of the plant growth regulator Dekamon give highly significant effect to diameter rods at the age 26 dap, height of plant at the age 26 dap and number of leafes 16 dap. At concentration of 0,20 ml L-1 (K2) give better results to on height of plant, diameter rods and number of leafes per plant but concentration of 0,30 ml L -1 (K4) is better to give generative result of melon.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian beberapa konsentrasi IAA dan Kinetin terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman nilam Aceh secara in vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala, pada bulan Juni sampai dengan November 2020. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan faktor konsentrasi IAA yang terdiri dari empat taraf, yaitu 0 mg L-1; 0,25 mg L-1; 0,5 mg L-1; dan 0,75 mg L-1 serta faktor konsentrasi Kinetin yang terdiri dari empat taraf, yaitu 0 mg L-1; 1 mg L-1; 2 mg L-1; dan 3 mg L-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase eksplan hidup tertinggi 60% dan persentase kontaminasi terendah 20% adalah pada perlakuan 0 mg L-1 IAA + 1 mg L-1 kinetin. Persentase hidup tertinggi 60% dan persentase browning terendah 0% adalah pada perlakuan 0 mg L-1 IAA + 2 mg L-1 kinetin. Eksplan tanaman nilam tertinggi dan jumlah tunas terbanyak pada umur 10 MSI, serta jumlah daun terbanyak pada umur 5 MSI dan 10 MSI adalah pada perlakuan 0,75 mg L-1 IAA + 0 mg L-1 Kinetin.Kata kunci ; Nilam, IAA, Kinetin, in vitro

Abstract

Pliek-u is a specialty food product in Aceh with local wisdom values that should be preserved. The Program of Community Service Based Product (PKMBP) aimed to improve the pliek-u agro-industry by adapting simple processing technologies so that it could lighten work, produce quality products, and attract the interest of the younger generation as pliek-u entrepreneurs in future. The method applied consist of surveys, preparation of tools and materials, assembly of a solar tunnel dryer type Hohenheim Aceh and a hydraulic press, training and dissemination of technology through field schools, and evaluation of the program with pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon rank test with alpha of 5%. The results of the program were the construction of 1 unit of Hohenheim Aceh tunnel dryer, 1 unit of hydraulic press, and the implementation of training and dissemination activities which have been published in the form of videos on YouTube media and press releases through online media. The results of the Wilcoxon rank test also showed that of the 13 participants whose data were valid, 100% of participants received positive rankings and the pre-test scores were significantly different from the post-test scores. Thus, it can be concluded that the program carried out has contributed to increasing the knowledge, expertise capacity, and interest of participants in pliek-u processing technologies since the profile of conventional agroindustry can be transformed to be better agroindustry by the use of solar tunnel dryer type Hohenheim Aceh and hydraulic press. In addition, the use of technologies will ensure the halal requirement of pliek-u.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengeringan cabai rawit merah dengan perlakuan blansir uap pra pengeringan. Sebanyak 500 g cabai rawit merah dikeringkan dalam alat pengering terowongan Hohenheim Aceh solar kolektor paralel dengan perlakuan pra pengeringan blansir dengan 2 taraf yaitu tanpa blansir dan dengan blansir uap, dengan 3 kali ulangan. Parameter penelitian meliputi iradiasi matahari, suhu, kelembaban, laju pengeringan, efisiensi pengeringan, kadar air, rendemen, kandungan vitamin C, dan warna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengeringan membutuhkan waktu selama 3 hari. Kondisi cuaca cerah dengan rata-rata iradiasi matahari 238,71—539,38 W/m2. Hal ini mendukung suhu rata-rata udara ruang pengering sebesar 42,4—44,6 °C dan kelembaban udara ruang pengering sebesar 26,5—29,9 %. Laju pengeringan cabai rawit blansir uap (13,37 %bk/jam) lebih besar dari laju pengeringan cabai rawit tanpa perlakuan blansir (10,93 %bk/jam). Adapun efisiensi total pengeringan cabai rawit merah dengan perlakuan blansir uap adalah 12,74 % dan efisiensi total pengeringan cabai rawit merah tanpa perlakuan blansir uap adalah 11,24 %. Uji-t 2 sampel independen menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan blansir uap memberikan perbedaan nyata terhadap kadar air dan vitamin C cabai rawit merah kering, namun tidak menyebabkan perbedaan nyata  terhadap rendemen dan warna. Namun demikian nilai ΔE cabai rawit merah kering yang diberi perlakuan blansir uap lebih rendah menunjukkan warna yang lebih cerah dan lebih mendekati warna cabai rawit merah segar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis Urea dan konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair NASA terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.) di dataran tinggi Gayo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari sampai dengan bulan Maret 2021 berlokasi di lahan milik warga yang berlokasi Tetunyung Kampung Takengon Timur, Kecamatan Lut Tawar, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2  faktor, yang pertama adalah dosis pupuk Urea yaitu tanpa pupuk Urea Kontrol (U0), 100 kg/ha (U1), 150 kg/ha (U2), and 200 kg/ha (U3) sedangkan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi POC NASA yaitu tanpa POC NASA 0 ml/l (N0), 3 ml/l (N1), 6ml/l (N2) dan 9 ml/l (N3). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa perlakuan dosis Urea memberi pengaruh sangat nyata pada tinggi tanaman 14HST, 21HST dan 28HST , jumlah daun 14HST, 21HST dan 28HST, panjang daun, lebar daun, berat berangkasan basah dan hasil per hektar Dosis pupuk Urea terbaik adalah Urea 100 kg/ha menunjukkan rata-rata hasil per hektar tertinggi yaitu 23,50 ton/ha. Perlakuan konsentrasi POC NASA memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun, lebar daun, berat berangkasan basah, dan potensi hasil per hektar. Konsentrasi POC NASA terbaik  yaitu 3 ml/L dengan hasil per hektar tertinggi yaitu 15,67 ton/ha. Terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara dosis Pupuk Urea dan konsentrasi POC NASA parameter tinggi tanaman umur 14HST, 21HST dan 28 HST, jumlah daun 14HST, 21HST dan 28HST , panjang daun, lebar daun, berat berangkasan basah, dan hasil per hektar. Kombinasi dosis pupuk Urea dan konsentrasi POC NASA yang terbaik adalah pupuk Urea 100 kg/ha dan konsentrasi POC NASA 3 ml/L memberikan hasil per hektar terbaik yaitu 30,95 ton/ha.

Abstract

This community service aimed to educate the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) about management of production technologies in obtaining halal certification. The partners of this program were UKM Meugah Pliek and UKM Wina Mandiri as pliek-u and asam sunti processors in Aceh Besar Regency. The production steps of the products that need technology are drying and pressing process. This program had been conducted through survey, preparation, and education. Results of this program were 2 hours training on production technology management to support halal products, 1 unit Hohenheim Aceh solar tunnel dryer, 1 unit hydraulic press, 4 units digital balance at capacity of 40kg and 1000pc of thin wall plastic containers. The technologies adapted were believed to support the production process in order to warrant the halal products. The results of the program were also published on online media to transfer knowledge and motivation to wider community. The participants showed high enthusiasm to the program as it can increase not only their knowledge but also provide technologies and tools to be used in supporting halal production.

Abstract

The need to produce numerous and good quality plantlet in short time has been carried out with in vitro culture. The objective of this research was to study BAP and sucrose effect on the in vitro multiplication of small ginger. Research was done in Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Department of Agronomy. Bogor Agricultural University from November 2002 until August 2003. The treatment used BAP 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ppm and sucrose 20, 30, 40, 50 g/l. The result showed that sucrose significantly influenced shoot number in 2-5 and 8 Week After Planting (WAP) and leaf number in 2-7 WAP; root length, root number and explant fresh weight. BAP only significantly influenced leaf number in 7 WAP and root quality. With time shoot color changed from green to yellow. Higher RAP and sucrose concentration increased micro rhizome percentage. Sucrose 40 g/l or RAP 2 ppm gave numerous shoot and high explant fresh weight. Key words : Zingiber officinale Rosc var. amarun, In vitro, BAP, Sucrose
