Abstract

Mother's milk is a liquid that contains high nutrients which are very beneficial for optimal health, development and growth of babies. Breastfeeding is a scientific condition but there are still mothers who experience problems in breastfeeding such as work, workload, mothers feel stressed, tired, depressed and low self-confidence of the mother will affect the success of breastfeeding her baby where it can affect the physical and psychological condition of the mother. eventually will hinder the smooth in producing breast milk. The purpose of this service activity is carried out in the Work Area of the Kebon Kopi Health Center with the aim of this activity being to provide information and increase knowledge, as well as understanding post-partum and breastfeeding mothers and mothers can do it independently at home, this activity is carried out from March to March July 2021, assisted by 2 Midwifery students from STIKes Baiturrahim, the targets in this activity are post-partum mothers and breastfeeding mothers, the method used is lectures, question and answer and media discussions used are leaflets, then evaluated By giving questions to the mother, some of the questions she can answer well, the result of this activity is that the mother's knowledge increases and she can apply it independently. The results of this activity are published in health academic journals.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is the best food for infants breast milk (breast milk) is given for 6 months without other additional food and continued until the age of 2 years, breastfeeding can reduce infant mortality and can increase growth and development in children.  at this time there are still many mothers who do not give exclusive breast milk to their babies. Based on data obtained by one of the health centers in Jambi from 111 babies who were given exclusive breast milk 63 babies and who did not give exclusive breastfeeding 28 babies, although most have given exclusive breast milk there are still babies who are not given exclusive breast milk, this can be influenced by the condition of mothers who work outside the home that makes the mother can not breastfeed her baby beside the mother's knowledge of the importance of exclusive breast milk is still not optimal, the busyness of working mothers makes mothers prefer formula milk that is more practical for the baby. Related to the problem, it is necessary to empower cadres so that cadres can play an active role in providing information to mothers who are in the integrated service center area. This service is done to improve the knowledge, understanding, and skills of integrated service center cadres. This activity was carried out in the Working Area of Simpang Kawat Health Center held in March to August 2020, the target in this activity posyandu cadres use the method of lectures, discussions, question and answer with leaflet media and laptop. As a result of this activity increased the knowledge, understanding, and skills of cadres about exclusivebreast milk and will be published in the form of journals to be easily accessed by the community.

Abstract

Growth in infants and nutritional problems in children are often caused by the inaccuracy of parents in their habits of inappropriate breastfeeding and complementary feeding, and mothers are less aware that babies aged 6 months already need complementary feeding. mothers in good quantity and quality. At the age of 6 months apart from breastmilk, the baby can start to be given complementary foods, because at this age the baby already has a chewing reflex with stronger digestion. In giving baby food, it is necessary to pay attention to the punctuality of delivery, frequency, type, quantity, foodstuff, and method of manufacture, improper infant feeding habits, such as feeding too early or too late, insufficient food given and inadequate frequency. this can have an impact on the health and nutritional status of the baby. Based on the data obtained from the health office, it is known that from 12 districts the prevalence of malnutrition and malnutrition based on the BB / U indicator is 17.2% and based on the TB / U indicator is 20.2%. This community service aims to provide information and improve the skills of mothers in complementary feeding of breast milk. This community service was carried out in the Work Area of the Simpang Kawat Puskesmas, at the time of January 2020 the service method used a survey approach, lectures and discussions. The results obtained by mothers can understand the meaning of complementary foods for breast milk, the benefits of complementary foods for breast milk and the schedule for which they are given.

Abstract

The postpartum period begins when the placenta is born and ends when the uterine organs return to their pre-pregnancy state. During the postpartum period, they will experience physical and psychological changes, physical changes include the ligaments becoming soft and loose, the tense muscles of the uterus enlarging, posture The body changes to compensate for weight changes during pregnancy. Postpartum care is needed because it is a critical period for both mother and baby. Yoga is a type of body, mind and mental exercise that really helps mothers to strengthen their pelvic muscles, abdominal muscles and reposition the spine in a correct and good position, improve body posture, reduce discomfort in postpartum mothers. This community service activity aims to Mothers' knowledge and understanding increased, this activity was carried out in the Working Area of the Kopi Garden Community Health Center and was carried out on December 20 2021. The target of this activity was post partum mothers, totaling 20 people. The method used was lectures, discussions and questions and answers, using leaflet media, to measure the team's knowledge of performingpre test with good knowledge results of 8 (40%), poor knowledge of 12 (60%), and after education was carried out to determine the increase in mother's knowledge, it was carried outpost test and the results obtained were good knowledge of 16 (80%) while poor knowledge was 4 (20%), so it can be seen that there was an increase in the mother's knowledge before and after the education. As a result of this activity, the mother's knowledge increased and the mother wanted to apply yoga independently at home.
