Abstract

fatigue is a problem that often occurs in the workplace, including security workers. Fatigue is a process that results in a decrease in welfare, capacity or performance as a result of work activities caused by several factors, namely work shifts and work situations will cause fatigue. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between work shifts and work situations with fatigue in security at PT XYZ Balikpapan. The research method used a quantitative research using a cross sectional study design. The research instrument used the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionnaire. The results of this study were 20 security who worked in a shift system who had low fatigue as many as 20 people (40%), who had moderate fatigue as many as 15 people (30%), who had heavy fatigue as many as 11 people (22%), while who had very severe fatigue as many as 4 people (8%). For comfortable work situations as many as 45 people (90%), less comfortable as many as 5 people (10%), very uncomfortable none. The results of the analysis using the Spearman Rho test obtained a p value = 0.000 where p <0.05 which means there is a relationship between work shifts and fatigue and work situations obtained p value = 0,018 where p <0.05 which means there is a relationship between work situations with fatigue.

Abstract

Transportation of coal production results is an activity of moving coal from the front loading area to the storage area for further transportation to the barge. The process of transporting coal is an important activity in mining activities that have a very high occupational health and safety risk. The purpose of conducting this research is to improve hazard, risk assessment, and control in the coal hauling process carried out by PT Alam Karya Gemilang. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative research. This research method is used to describe descriptively the assessment and control of occupational safety and health risks using the hazard identification risk assessment risk control (HIRARC) method at PT Alam Karya Gemilang. Data collection was carried out by direct field observation and interviews with unit operators, field supervisors, and safety personnel in the field. The results of the study contained 16 hazards which included: slippery front area, narrow front area, loading coal during the day and night, dusty roads, foggy roads, damaged units, blind spot areas, exhaust emissions, interaction with heavy equipment units, slippery roads, and bumpy roads. And of the 21 hazards there are 24 identified risks, namely 4 hazards with low risk, 8 hazards with moderate risk, and 13 hazards with high risk. Controls carried out are administrative controls and engineering techniques.

Abstract

Semakin padat perumahan yang di wilayah perkotaan, akan meningkatkan terjadinya resiko kebakaran. Meningkatnya kebutuhan perumahan tidak selalu disertai dengan kepedulian akan pentingnya pengetahuan tentang cara menanggulangi jika terjadi kebakaran. Parahnya kejadian kebakaran pada pemukiman di perkotaan disebabkan oleh terlambatnya informasi kejadian kebakaran kepada petugas pemadam kebakaran. Terhambatnya kendaraan pemadam mencapai lokasi kebakaran dikarenakan jalan macet, kesulitan memperoleh air, dan lokasi kebakaran yang sulit dijangkau, juga merupakan penyebab kebakaran sulit diatasi. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini berikan kepada warga kampung wasteco dengan tujuan agar dapat menambah wawasan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang kebakaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di kampung Wasteco kelurahan manggar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan simulasi/praktik langsung tentang konsep terjadinya kebakaran serta cara menanggulangi kebakaran dini. Sosialisasi diberikan kepada warga secara komprehensif, sedangkan simulasi pemadaman kebakaran dilakukan dengan metode sederhana dan modern (menggunakan alat pemadam api ringan). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan serta cara pemadaman api dengan metode yang benar. Pengetahuan warga Kampung Wasteco menjadi lebih mengetahui proses terjadinya kebakaran dari 3 unsur dan bagaimana melakukan pemadaman api mula dengan Teknik tradisional maupun secara modern menggunakan alat peadam api ringan (APAR). Warga juga dihimbau untuk menyediakan peralatan sederhana sebagai Langkah antisipasi terjadinya kebakaran, seperti pasir, karung goni, handuk, maupun selimut.

Abstract

The volume of waste in Balikpapan City is estimated to reach 380 to 420tons per day. Currently, A Landfill Site in Manggar District area is approaching overcapacity. The government estimates that landfill area will only last until 2026. To help reduce waste, residents RT 50 PJHI – Batakan has several useful activities. One of the useful activities is the activities of the waste, used goods and coin donation movement (GADIS JELITAKU). This activity utilizes plastic waste, paper, organic waste, leftover cooking oil and coins to be recycled into goods that have a price or economics value. However, the provision of public facilities both in terms of cleanliness, health and safety is still lacking. Cleaning facilities or trash cans that are no longer suitable for use in the area will be replaced with trash bins with the addition of 3 categories of waste segregation. With the reconditioning or redesign of this new trash can, it hoped that it can increase residents awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment and increase the level of creativity and innovation in utilizing waste.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the Indonesian economy, both in terms of the number of businesses and job creation. However, due to the lack of awareness of MSME actors of state standardization in the form of procedures established in a food management. The socialization of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) aims to increase the awareness of MSME actors of state standardization in the form of procedures applied in culinary management, with the hope of producing food and beverage products that are of much higher quality and can increase business profits. Good manufacturing practice (GMP) is a way of management and work methods that are in accordance with standards for producing food and beverages that are safe, quality and suitable for consumption. This socialization activity is divided into several stages, namely; location survey, literature study, making activity materials, preparation and implementation, evaluation. The targets of this activity are culinary MSME players in Karang Rejo Village, by first analyzing the problems faced by MSME players. Based on the results of this activity, MSME business owners will understand the importance of processing quality food products and be able to apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in processing and producing quality and safe products for consumers so that in terms of packaging and sanitary hygiene so as to increase sales profits.

Abstract

The installation of convex mirror aims to reduce the number of accidents in the Gang Rambutan RT 002. This road is the entrance to the main road in Karang Rejo Village, so traffic is heavy every day. Convex mirror are additional road equipment designed to improve visibility for drivers. These convex mirror are usually installed on the side of the road where the driver's view is very limited or obstructed, especially around sharp turns. In this activity, convex mirror were installed in two locations in Karang Rejo RT 002 Village. The location was determined after coordinating with Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa, Head of Village Karang Rejo and the Head of RT 002. From this adjustment, it was found that convex mirror was installed in two locations, namely the first point on the main road RT 002 Gang Rambutan and the second point in intersection Gang Rambutan RT 002. After the convex mirror components are installed first, the installation is carried out throughout the day. Therefore, when installing, simply insert it into the hole provided. Based on the results of the review one week after installation, the existence of this convex mirror has benefited the community, increasing the visibility of Gang Rambutan RT 002.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada pekerjaan penggerindaan (grinding) yang diklasifikasikan sebagai Hot Work di lingkungan Terminal Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, mengumpulkan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan telaah dokumen di Terminal Energi X selama periode Agustus hingga Oktober 2025. Pekerjaan penggerindaan di fasilitas migas memiliki risiko kebakaran dan ledakan yang sangat tinggi. Fokus evaluasi adalah kepatuhan terhadap sistem Izin Kerja Panas (Hot Work Permit - HWP), penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), dan prosedur Fire Watch. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun sistem HWP secara administratif berjalan baik, terdapat kesenjangan kritis pada implementasi di lapangan. Kesenjangan utama meliputi pengujian gas yang tidak konsisten dan tidak berkala, ketidakpatuhan kehadiran pengawas api (Fire Watchman), dan pelanggaran perilaku aman terkait pelepasan pelindung (safety guard) mesin gerinda. Kajian merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan spesifik untuk pengawas lapangan, penguatan sanksi terhadap pelanggaran perilaku, dan penetapan prosedur pengujian gas berkala untuk memastikan pengendalian risiko optimal.

Abstract

Keselamatan transportasi merupakan aspek krusial dalam menjamin kelancaran operasional distribusi beton, khususnya pada perusahaan yang mengoperasikan armada Mixer Truck. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan keselamatan transportasi di PT. ABC, dengan fokus pada kepatuhan operator terhadap kebijakan dan prosedur keselamatan, efektivitas pengawasan HSE, serta faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan belum optimalnya program K3 transportasi. Penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan operator dan petugas HSE, serta penyebaran kuesioner kepada pekerja terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman pekerja terhadap kebijakan keselamatan masih rendah, pelaksanaan SOP tidak berjalan konsisten, dan fungsi pengawasan HSE belum efektif dalam memastikan kepatuhan di lapangan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa aspek manusia, sistem, dan budaya keselamatan menjadi penyebab utama belum optimalnya penerapan keselamatan transportasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan program pelatihan, peningkatan pengawasan operasional, perbaikan dokumentasi inspeksi kendaraan, serta pengembangan budaya keselamatan yang lebih proaktif dan berkelanjutan. Dengan penerapan pengendalian yang tepat, perusahaan dapat menurunkan risiko kecelakaan dan meningkatkan kinerja keselamatan transportasi secara signifikan.

Abstract

Penerapan Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Pertambangan (SMKP) merupakan elemen krusial dalam menjamin keselamatan operasional di sektor pertambangan. Studi ini membahas implementasi SMKP pada Mining Operation Division PT X sebagai salah satu perusahaan tambang batubara terbesar di Indonesia. Pendekatan analisis dilakukan melalui penelaahan dokumen internal perusahaan, observasi terhadap kegiatan operasional, serta evaluasi terhadap pemenuhan regulasi yang berlaku. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Mining Operation Division telah menerapkan SMKP secara terstruktur melalui kebijakan keselamatan, prosedur kerja berstandar, identifikasi bahaya, dan pengendalian risiko pada seluruh aktivitas penambangan. Pengawasan operasional diperkuat dengan audit berkala, pelatihan keselamatan, serta program mitigasi terhadap aktivitas berisiko tinggi. Implementasi tersebut mencerminkan upaya perusahaan dalam memenuhi kaidah pertambangan yang baik dan menjaga keselamatan pekerja serta lingkungan kerja. Secara keseluruhan, studi ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan SMKP di Mining Operation Division PT X berjalan efektif dan mendukung keberlanjutan operasional pertambangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor human error yang memengaruhi keselamatan transportasi truck mixer di PT. XYZ dengan menggunakan pendekatan Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS). Pengamatan dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara menggunakan checklist HFACS kepada empat operator truck mixer. Data yang diperoleh mencakup empat level penyebab human error, yaitu Unsafe Acts, Preconditions for Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Supervision, dan Organizational Factors. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Organizational Factors memiliki persentase tertinggi sebesar 75%, menandakan bahwa sistem organisasi perusahaan telah berjalan cukup baik dalam mendukung aspek keselamatan. Namun, Unsafe Supervision memiliki nilai terendah yaitu 45%, yang mencerminkan kurang optimalnya pengawasan langsung dan pelaksanaan safety briefing di lapangan. Selain itu, faktor Unsafe Acts (55%) dan Preconditions for Unsafe Acts (54%) menunjukkan bahwa perilaku individu dan kondisi kerja masih menjadi penyebab signifikan terjadinya kesalahan manusia. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa human error masih memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap keselamatan transportasi truck mixer, sehingga diperlukan peningkatan pengawasan, disiplin berkendara, dan pembinaan perilaku aman untuk meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan kerja.
