Abstract

The digital technology has equipped people especially the students with applications needed for online learning in the form of applications. However, these applications will be useless if the online learning concept is not applied in the correct way. This research is aimed to describe qualitatively the instructional design of teaching reading online in a small class which consists of 5 students. The method of the research is qualitative research. The data collected by observing the process of learning and documenting the process. The result found that the small numbers of students is the most important aspect to make the instructional design effective. All the students were active in the online learning. The online media used were Google Meet and WhatApps Group (WAG). The Google meet was the substitution of classroom and WAG was the medium to sending the materials. The highest score for the progress test was 92 and the lowest was 78. The score indicates that the instructional design for teaching reading online in the small class is effective. Abstract

Abstract Teaching English for the students in the elementary level should be meaningful and fun. By learning in a great atmosphere, the students are expected to understand well the materials. Most of the elementary schools in east java put English as the lesson, start from the first grade. A good decision but in the application, most English teachers don‘t use the proper method. This condition makes the learning process in vain. Condition stated is also occurs in MI PSM Gambyok. The research describes this condition using the instructional design point of view in the descriptive research. The school has problem with the teaching method which shows by the score in daily test are good (up to 7) but centered-test like middle test or final test are bad (below 5). It shows that the trouble is in the teaching method. This research finds that the teacher do the same activities trough the same instructions with the different materials. The problem wouldn‘t be solved, if the teacher still used the same instructions. Key words: Instructional materials, learning process, method

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of students from the engineering faculty of the University of Kahuripan Kediri on online English lectures. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative by using questionnaires and interviews to obtain the necessary data. The results of the study found that 15 students found it difficult to learn online for the following reasons: 1) Students were not familiar with video conferencing because they had to be in front of their gadgets for 45 to 75 minutes, 2) Students felt their English skills were lacking. good for attending lectures at the Pre-intermediate level, and 3) Students admit that they often experience intermittent signals that make them unable to attend lectures properly. 67 Students (55%) perceive that online lectures are still interesting but lack opportunities to be active. Meanwhile, 54 students (45%) perceive that online lectures are going well and can replace face-to-face lectures. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the majority of students have a positive perception of online English learning

Abstract

Teachers are one of the determinants of educational success and play a major role in achieving educational goals. In addition to the great responsibility of teachers to educate students through the transfer of knowledge, teachers are required to master various kinds of competencies to support the continuity of learning activities. Personality competence is one of the competencies that must be possessed by teachers because as role models for students in learning activities, teachers must present themselves as a teacher profile with a steady and stable personality. The teacher's personality competence is a competence that has a significant influence on the development of student character in accordance with the values ​​and norms that apply in religion and society. Problems related to learning motivation, social behavior, discipline, and student achievement are also influenced by the teacher's personality. Therefore, the teacher's personality competence needs more attention to be developed as an effort to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

AbstrakDesa Sebet merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Plemahan Kabupaten Kediri. Desa Sebet sendiri ialah desa mitra dari Universitas Kahuripan Kediri dimana mahasiswa dari universitas melaksanakan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di desa tersebut. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh civitas akademika universitas banyak yang diarahkan kesana. Di desa ini belum banyak warganya yang memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah yang mereka miliki untuk menanam tanaman TOGA atau tanaman obat rumah tangga serta pengetahuan mengenai TOGA dan manfaatnya ini pun masih kurang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah kegiatan untuk memberikan sosialisasi mengenai tanaman TOGA yang dapat ditanam dipekarangan rumah warga, khususnya kepada ibu-ibu PKK sehingga para ibu ini dapat memanfaatkan pekarangan rumahnya dengan tanaman yang bermanfaat. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah agar ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Sebet Kecamatan Plemahan dapat mengetahui keberadaan tanaman TOGA beserta manfaat yang dimiliki tanaman tersebut sehingga harapannya sosialisasi ini dapatmenambah wawasan yang dimiliki oleh Ibu-Ibu PKK dan dapat memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah. Kata kunci: Tanaman Toga, Pekarangan Rumah, Sebet. AbstractSebet Village is one of the villages located in Plemahan District of Kediri Regency. Sebet Village itself is a partner village of the University of Kahuripan Kediri where students from the University carry out the Nyta Work Lecture (KKN) in the village. Many community services carried ut by the university academic community are directed there. In this village, not many residents use their own yard to grow TOGA or household medicinal plants, as well as knowledge about TOGA and its benefits are still lacking. Community service activities are activities to provide socialization about TOGA plants that can be planted in residents' homes, especially to PKK ladies so that these mothers can utilize their yard with useful plants. The purpose of this community service is PKK ladies in Sebet Village, Plemahan district, to know the existence of TOGA plants and the benefits of these plants so that the hope of this socialization can add insight to the PKK and can take advantage of the yard. Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan motivasi, memberikan pemahaman tentang konsep dan penerapan penulisan artikel untuk jurnal ilmiah bagi guru di Islamic International School PSM Kediri. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan pemaparan materi motivasi yakni latar belakang pentingnya menulis artikel ilmiah, dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan konsep penulisan artikel ilmiah (judul artikel ilmiah, abstrak, pendahuluan, tinjauan pustaka, metodologi, hasil dan pembahasan, kesimpulan, daftar pustaka) serta menerapkan konsep tersebut pada penulisan artikel ilmiah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini adalah berupa bentuk pendampingan dengan metode presentasi, ceramah dan diskusi. Peserta guru termotivasi untuk mengetahui lebih jauh konsep penulisan artikel ilmiah dan juga antusias dalam mempelajari kerangka penulisan artikel ilmiah. Para guru sepakat bahwa pelatihan penulisan artikel memberikan banyak manfaat bagi mereka
