Abstract

One of the electrical energy is a battery, but battery will produce waste that is difficult to decompose naturally. The Indonesian government in 2025 wants as much as 23% of national energy to come from renewable energy and 8.3% from bioenergy. The mineral content of aloe vera has the potential as an electrolyte solution, so it can be used to conduct electricity. Based on this, the researchers conducted research by creating an eco-friendly and renewable battery using aloe vera extract. The results of the research are the creation of an aloe vera extract battery box, the voltage generated is 71,5V, the aloe vera extract battery box is capable of turning on LED lights, incandescent lamps and mini electrical control panels. In addition, the use of aloe vera extract as a battery has several advantages such as eco-friendly, rechargeable, cheaper than an ordinary battery and can produces more energy.

Abstract

LPG is one of the Gas Fuel products that can be used as fuel to replace the use of Oil Fuel. Therefore, an energy conversion tool is needed to utilize LPG as a motorcycle energy source. The purpose of this research is to design and manufacture a gas motor converter kit. This converter kit has three technologies, such as a fuel distribution system using a manual fuel faucet, a solenoid valve that functions to cut off gas flow, and the position of the fuel tube under the seat. The research method using VDI2221 (Verein Deutcher Ingenieure). The research result is the creation of converter kits that are made through the design, turning, milling, welding, and assembling process. The research conclusion is the converter kits can be implemented on 100cc motorcycles, and no leaks or defects were found in the converter kits, so the tool can be used properly on motorcycles.

Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia tergabung dalam AFTA (Asean Free Trade Area)atau kawasan bebas perdagangan ASEAN. Dengan banyaknya jumlah usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia dan kemampuannya dalam menyerap tenaga kerja, tentu sektor ini sangat perlu dioptimalkan. Salahsatunyaialah UMKM yang bergerak dibidangbudidaya jamur tiram. Abdisobar dkk (2014)menyatakan bahwa permintaan jamur tiramsangat besar dan peluang pasar setiaptahun berkisar antara 1.164 ton/tahun sampaidengan 2.341 ton/tahun. Namun, untuk mengoptimalkan usaha budidaya jamur tiram, masih terdapat kendalabagi petani ataupun UMKM. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah penanganan suhu dan kelembapan terutama saat musim kemarau dimana udara di lingkungan memiliki suhu yang tinggi dan kering sehingga menyebabkan produksi jamurtiram mengalami penurunan bahkan mati (Cahyana YA, 2009). Begitu pula dengan mitra tempat penulis melakukan penelitian di tempat pembudidaya jamur tiram di Desa Geneng, Prambanan, Klaten milik Ingge Cahyadi yang hanya mampu panen sekitar 3-4Kg/1000 baglog setiap harinya pada musim kemarau dengan suhu berkisar27°C-31°C sehingga menyebabkan penurunan profit. Berdasarkan hal tersebut,kumbung jamur tiram memerlukan alat penyiram jamur otomatis yang dapat mengoptimalkan suhu dan kelembaban. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen.Hasil yang dicapai adalah analisis pengaruh implementasi alat penyiram jamur otomatis terhadap produktivitas dan peningkatan profit UMKM Jamur Tiram. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah implementasi alat penyiram jamur otomatis dapat meningkatkan produktivitas jamur sebanyak 34,51% dan memberikan peningkatan pendapatan atau profit kepada UMKM Jamur Tiram sebesar Rp.20.860/hari. It is the handling of temperature and humidity, especially during the dry season where the air in the environment is high and dry, causing the production of oyster mushrooms to decrease and even die (Cahyana YA, 2009).The same thing happened with the author partner where researchconducted at the oyster mushroom cultivator in the Geneng village, Prambanan, Klaten owned by Ingge Cahyadi which was only able to harvest around 3-4Kg / 1000 baglog every day in the dry season with temperatures ranging from 27°C-31°C.Based on this problems, the oyster mushroom house requires an automatic mushroom sprinkler that can optimize temperature and humidity.The research used is experimental research. The result achieved is an effect analysis of implementing an automatic mushroom sprinkler on productivity effect and increasing the profit of Oyster Mushroom MSME.. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of automatic mushroom sprinklers can increase mushroom productivity by 34.51% and provide an increase in income or profit to Oyster Mushroom MSME by Rp. 20,860/day.
