Abstract

The problem in the main research is "How is the application of the CTL method in learning descriptive essays for third grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Palu?". While the objectives to be achieved in this study are to describe the application of the CTL method in learning descriptive essays for third grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Palu. To get the data, the researcher used the technique of literature study, observation, interviews and questionnaires by focusing on learning descriptive essays that were connected to the CTL method used by the teacher in the classroom. The data analysis was carried out in 3 (three) stages, namely (1) data preparation, (2) data processing, (3) data presentation. The results of the study prove that the application of the CTL method in learning descriptive essays for third grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Palu has been running according to the concepts contained in the CTL method. Meanwhile, the components of CTL used by teachers in the field of Indonesian language studies in class III SMP Negeri 2 Palu in learning descriptive essays are Inquiry, Questioning, Constructivism, Community Learning, Authentic Assessment, Reflection and Modeling

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengangkat permasalahan yaitu (1) bagaimana bentuk reduplikasi bahasa Laudje? (2) bagaimana makna reduplikasi bahasa Laudje? Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yakni: (1) nendeskripsikan bentuk reduplikasi bahasa Laudje. (2) mendeskripsikan makna reduplikasi bahasa Laudje. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, yang dalam prosesnya mengikuti tiga tahapan, yaitu: (1) tahap pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simak dan metode cakap. Metode simak dengan teknik simak libat cakap. (2) tahap analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode padan dan metode distribusional. Metode ini menggunakan teknik perluas dan teknik ganti. (3) tahap penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode formal dan informal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan bentuk reduplikasi bahasa Laudje terdiri atas: (1) reduplikasi penuh; lampa-lampa “jalan- jalan”, (2) reduplikasi sebagian: lama-lamaring “lemari-kecil”, (3) reduplikasi dengan proses pembubuhan afiks: nontunu-tunua “membakar-bakarkan”, dan (4) reduplikasi berdasarkan kelas kata: Reduplikasi nomina polu-polu “batu-batu”, redulikasi verba lembas-lembas „pukul-pukul‟, reduplikasi adjektiva neindi-neindi “besar-besar”, dan reduplikasi adverbia tutuu-tutuu “sungguh-sungguh”.

Abstract

Based on the author's observations, the problem in the subject of research is in KB Tunas Harapan, Mbuwu Village in the development of children's language, the teacher has used the storytelling method in the learning process. However, the implementation is still not optimal, this finds various problems in the application of learning methods that are not appropriate when teaching sometimes causes various problems such as the lack of student participation in learning in class. While the objectives to be achieved in this study are how to improve vocabulary mastery in early childhood through the storytelling method in KB Tunas Harapan, Mbuwu Village. The data analysis was carried out in 3 (three) stages, namely (1) data preparation, (2) data processing, (3) data presentation by focusing on the development of early childhood language associated with the storytelling method used by teachers in the classroom. To obtain data, the researcher used descriptive qualitative methods, observations, and interviews. The results of the study prove that the use of the storytelling method is optimal enough to develop the language development of children in KB Tunas Harapan, Mbuwu Village in its implementation, it can be seen from the results of research that have been achieved by students of KB Tunas Harapan Mbuwu

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' speaking ability through learning with the modeling method. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were all class VIII students of MTs Alkhairaat Pinotu for the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 20 people, namely 12 boys and 8 girls. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The design of this study refers to the Kemmis and McTaggart model which consists of four components, namely 1) planning, 2) action implementation, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. The data collected in this study is in the form of teacher and student activity data during the learning process obtained by using observation sheets and student learning outcomes data obtained by giving individual tests to students. In the research that has been carried out, it was found that for the Grade VIII students of MTs Alkhairaat Pinotu, the score of the pre-action speech students was 45% and then increased from 71.2 in the first cycle to 78.2% in the second cycle. The increase in the second cycle was due to the researchers placing more emphasis on the concept of motivating students to be bolder in speaking out from the reflection of the first cycle in giving speeches using the modeling method. While in cycle II, the researcher emphasized changing the model in learning. Thus, the application of modeling media can improve the achievement of speaking skills (speech) of class VIII MTs Alkhairaat Pinotu students so that the application of modeling media is carried out by teachers to improve student learning outcomes
